He looked at Zane and Jasmine, feeling a bit awkward and unsure of how to talk to them.
He chose his words carefully. "It's very nice to meet you."
Jasmine stared at him with her big, round eyes. "Mister, don't get too happy just yet. My brother and I only agreed to meet you. We haven't decided to accept you as our dad!"
"That's right," Zane added. "You haven't raised us for a single day. Mom worked so hard to bring us up."
"I know." Jaden Forrest nodded and promised earnestly, "I understand all of that. From now on, I'll do my best to be a good father, take good care of you, and make up for everything I owe you from the past."
