2:00 PM, outside the DNA testing center.
Renee Jennings and the others picked up the test results as soon as they were ready.
They went to a coffee shop across the street, where they all stared nervously at the manila envelope.
Renee Jennings pushed the manila envelope toward Rhea Dempsey and Dalton Jenson. "Mom, Dad, Phoebe," she said gently, "you should be the ones to see the results."
Rhea Dempsey turned to Dalton Jenson, hesitating. "You look first."
She was a little nervous, afraid the results wouldn't be what she was hoping for.
Dalton Jenson reached out hesitantly, took the manila envelope, and slowly tore open the seal.
He took out the test results and read them carefully to the very end.
Rhea stared at his unchanging expression and couldn't help but ask, "Well? Say something."
Just then, Phoebe Sawyer also picked up the report in front of her.
Under the table, Dalton Jenson tightly squeezed Rhea's hand.
