Jay pov :
I don't know what is happening, but I am loving my pregnancy so much.
Keifer has become so protective of me. Kerein and Kegain are always around me, making sure I am okay.
My family also keeps calling me, and sometimes they just come home to check on me.
Even Section E comes every weekend to visit me. They always bring some fruits for me.
I feel so happy and loved.
But...
I think someone doesn't want to see me happy.
Because for the past few days, I have been feeling like something isn't right.
I am seven months pregnant, and my whole pregnancy has gone smoothly so far.
But for the past few days, I haven't been feeling good.
Every night, I get nightmares.
Sometimes I dream that someone kills our baby.
Sometimes I dream that I am dead.
And sometimes...
I see a car accident.
I don't know why I keep getting these nightmares.
And today, when I got the same nightmare again, I finally decided to tell Keifer.
"Keif..." I said softly and looked at him.
He was scrolling through his phone while resting his head on my chest.
"Yes, baby?" he asked.
"I have to tell you something," I said.
He immediately became serious and looked at me.
"What happened? Is everything alright?" he asked worriedly.
I took a deep breath.
"I've been having nightmares for the past few days."
"What kind of nightmares?"
"I don't know..." I whispered. "Sometimes I see someone hurting our baby. Sometimes I see myself dying... and sometimes I see us getting into a car accident."
Keifer's expression changed.
"Jay..."
"I know they are just dreams," I quickly said. "But they feel so real, Keif. Every time I wake up, I'm scared. And today, I got the same accident nightmare again."
Keifer moved closer and gently held my face.
"Hey, look at me."
I looked into his eyes.
"Nothing is going to happen to you or our baby," he said softly.
"But—"
"No buts."
He wiped the tears that had started forming in my eyes.
"You and our baby are safe. I'm here with you, okay?"
I nodded slowly.
He kissed my forehead.
"And if you're scared, you don't have to keep it inside. You can always tell me."
I hugged him tightly.
After a few seconds, Keifer pulled away.
"Now get ready."
I looked at him confused.
"Why?"
"We're going to church."
"Church?"
He nodded.
"I want you to feel peaceful. We'll pray together."
I smiled a little and nodded.
"Okay."
I got ready, and soon we both left the house.

A few minutes later...
I was sitting beside Keifer in the car while he drove.
I kept one hand on my stomach.
Our baby moved slightly.
I smiled.
"Keif..."
"Hmm?"
"I hope our baby will be okay."
Keifer glanced at me and smiled.
"Our baby will be more than okay."
I smiled back.
But suddenly...
HONKKKKK!
A huge bus came speeding toward us.
My eyes widened.
"KEIFER!"
Everything happened so fast.
Keifer immediately turned the steering wheel.
The car crashed.
BANG!
I screamed.
Before I could even understand what was happening, Keifer moved his body in front of mine, protecting me from the impact.
My head hit the seat, but I was safe.
"Keifer!"
I looked at him.
He wasn't moving.
"Keif?"
My hands started shaking.
There was blood on his forehead.
"KEIFER!"
I touched his face.
His eyes slowly opened.
He looked at me.
Then his eyes moved toward my stomach.
He gently placed his hand over it.
He gave me the smallest smile.
"Love you..."
His eyes slowly closed.
"KEIFER!"
I completely broke down.
"No! No, no, no!"
I held his hand with my shaking hands.
"Keif, please open your eyes! Please!"
I grabbed my phone with trembling hands and called an ambulance.
"Help! Please! We had an accident! My husband is badly injured!"
My voice was shaking as tears streamed down my face.
"Please hurry!"
I looked at Keifer again.
"Please don't leave me..."

At the hospital
The ambulance arrived, and the doctors immediately took Keifer inside.
I followed them while crying.
"Please save him!"
The doctors rushed him toward the ICU.
I stood outside, completely frozen.
A few nurses came to me.
"Ma'am, please sit down. We also need to check you and the baby."
"I don't care about me..." I cried. "Please save my keiff"
"He's with the doctors right now. We need to make sure you and the baby are okay too."
They checked me and the baby.
Thankfully, everything was fine.
But my hands wouldn't stop shaking.
I suddenly remembered my nightmares.
The accident...
The blood...
Keifer putting his hand on my stomach...
I covered my mouth.
"God..."
Tears started falling again.
"Was that a sign?"
I remembered every nightmare I'd had.
The accident.
Keifer getting hurt.
Me losing him.
And today...
It actually happened.
"I got the signs..." I whispered to myself.
"But I didn't understand them."
I started crying harder.
"Why didn't I understand?"
I immediately called kuya Angelo.
"Kuya...."
"Jay? What happened?"
"Keifer... he got into an accident."
"What?!"
"He's in the ICU."
I started crying again.
Kuya Angelo told me he was coming immediately.
After that, I called Kegain.
Then Yuri.
One by one, everyone started coming to the hospital.
Section E arrived.
Kegain came running inside.
"Ate ..."
He stopped when he saw me crying.
He immediately came toward me.
"Kegain..." I cried and hugged him.
"Where's Kuya?"
I couldn't answer.
I just cried harder.
Soon, my family arrived
Everyone looked worried.
Section E stood silently outside the ICU, praying.
Kerein kept asking about Keifer.
"Why isn't Kuya coming out?"
Nobody knew what to say.
After what felt like forever, the doctor finally came out.
Everyone immediately stood up.
"Doctor!"
The doctor looked at us.
"The surgery and treatment went well. He is stable."
I breathed out in relief.
"But..."
My heart stopped.
"But what?"
The doctor sighed.
"Keifer has suffered a serious head injury. He is currently in a coma."
My eyes filled with tears again.
"When will he wake up?"
The doctor looked at me gently.
"We don't know yet."
I froze.
"What do you mean?"
"We can't say when he will regain consciousness. It could take some time."
Everyone became silent.
I covered my mouth as I started crying.
"No..."
I shook my head.
"No, he promised me..."
Section E tried to comfort me
The doctor gently looked at me.
"Please don't stress yourself too much. You're seven months pregnant, and excessive crying and stress can affect you and the baby."
I nodded, but I couldn't stop crying.
"I just want my keifer ..."
The doctor understood and finally allowed me to see him for a few minutes.

Keifer's room
I slowly walked inside.
And then I saw him.
Keifer was lying on the hospital bed.
His head was bandaged.
There were wires and machines around him.
His eyes were closed.
He looked so peaceful...
But he wasn't waking up.
My heart broke.
I slowly walked toward him and held his hand.
"Keif..."
No response.
I sat beside him.
"You told me nothing would happen to me..."
My voice broke.
"You promised me."
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
"You were supposed to protect me..."
I held his hand tightly.
"But you don't have to protect me like this."
I looked at his face.
"You protected me from the accident..."
I started sobbing.
"...and now you're lying here because of me."
I gently placed my hand over his.
"Our baby is okay, Keif."
I looked down at my stomach.
"You saved both of us."
I started crying again.
"But please..."
I leaned closer to him.
"Don't make me raise our baby without you."
My voice became barely a whisper.
"Please wake up."
I kissed his hand.
"I love you."
Outside the room, everyone could hear me crying.
Kegain was crying too.
Kerein stood beside him, holding his hand.
Section E stayed quiet.
Even the doctors looked emotional.
I wiped my tears but more kept coming.
"Keif..."
I placed his hand against my cheek.
"You said you love me."
I smiled through my tears.
"So come back to me."
I closed my eyes.
"I'll wait."
I took a shaky breath.
"As long as it takes..."
"I'll wait for you."
And for the first time...
I realized how much I was afraid of losing him.
Sometimes I dream that I am dead.
And sometimes...
I see a car accident.
