Jay POV:
"Jayyy, pleaseee nooo," Keifer said, pouting like a little child.
"Keifer, I am going for only a few days," I said while folding my clothes.
I am going back to Kuya's house, but only for a few days. After that, I will come back here.
But after six months of pregnancy, I will stay at Kuya's house under Tita and Mama's care because I don't know much about pregnancy. They will help me and take care of me.
I am so excited and nervous about the baby.
After finishing my packing, I looked at my sulking baby.
"Babyyy," I said and sat down beside him.
I hugged him and kissed his cheeks.
"Baby, I will miss you too," Keifer said before kissing my tummy.
"Baby will miss you too," I said.
We both smiled and hugged each other.
After a few minutes, I heard a car honk.
Keifer and I went downstairs and saw Aries' car outside.
I said goodbye to Keifer and his brothers, while Keifer helped me put my luggage inside the car.
"Byeee, Ateee! Come soon!" Kerein shouted while waving at me.
"I will!" I waved back.
Aries started the car.
I noticed he was driving much slower than usual.
"Aries, why are you driving so slowly?" I asked.
"Because a pregnant woman is with me," he replied.
I rolled my eyes.
"I'm pregnant, not made of glass."
"I know. But if something happens, Keifer will blame me."
I laughed.
"He's going to blame you anyway."
"Exactly. So I'm being careful."
I shook my head while laughing.
Soon, we reached home.
Aries got out and took my luggage from the car.
"I can carry that," I said.
"No."
"Aries—"
"No."
I rolled my eyes and followed him inside.
The moment I entered, Mama and Tita came towards me.
"Jay!" Mama hugged me immediately.
"Finally! Come, sit down. You must be tired."
"I'm okay, Mama."
"Still, sit."
I laughed and sat down.
Tita brought me some water and placed it in front of me.
"Drink this first."
I looked at them both.
"Why are you two acting like I came back from another country?"
"Because you are pregnant," Mama said.
I sighed.
"Everyone keeps using that excuse."
"Because it works," Aries said from behind us.
I turned around.
"You stay quiet."
He laughed.
Kuya Angelo came out of his room and looked at me.
"You're here?"
"Yes, Kuya."
He nodded and looked at my luggage.
"Don't carry anything heavy."
"Okayyy."
He went back to what he was doing, and I smiled.
At least he didn't start another lecture.
Later, Mama and Tita kept asking me what I wanted to eat.
"I can eat anything."
"Anything?"
"Yes."
"Then I'll make something."
"Mamaaa, you don't have to."
"I want to."
I smiled.
I really loved being here.
Everyone was taking care of me in their own way.
Even Aries, who kept reminding me to be careful every five minutes.
When I tried to pick up something from the floor, he immediately said,
"Jay."
I looked at him.
"What?"
"Don't."
"It's just a pillow!"
"Still."
I laughed.
"You're annoying."
"Thank you."
"That wasn't a compliment."
"I'll take it anyway."
I couldn't stop laughing.
The whole day passed like this.
Mama made sure I ate properly, Tita kept checking if I was comfortable, and Aries helped whenever I needed something.
Sometimes we just sat together and talked about random things.
I laughed so much that I almost forgot how nervous I had been about staying here.
In the evening, Mama and Tita started talking about baby things.
"We'll have to start preparing everything after some time," Tita said.
"Already?" I asked.
"Of course."
I looked down at my tummy and smiled.
"Our baby is already getting so much attention."
"Obviously," Mama said. "This baby is going to be spoiled."
"By you."
"Yes."
I laughed.
"Poor baby."
"Poor? The baby is lucky."
I smiled.
I didn't know what the future would be like, but having them around made everything feel a little easier.
---
Later that night, I was lying on my bed when my phone suddenly started ringing.
I looked at the screen.
Keifer ❤️
I immediately smiled and answered.
"Hello, babyyy."
"Jayyy," he said.
I could already hear the pout in his voice.
"What happened?"
"I miss you."
"It's only been one day."
"One day is too long."
I laughed.
"You are so dramatic."
"I don't care."
I hugged my pillow.
"I miss you too."
There was a small silence.
Then Keifer suddenly said,
"Wait."
"What?"
"Put the phone near your tummy."
I started laughing.
"Why?"
"I want to talk to my baby."
I rolled my eyes but placed my phone near my tummy.
"Okay. Talk."
Keifer became quiet for a second.
"Baby..."
I covered my mouth, trying not to laugh.
"It's Papa."
I started giggling.
"Your Papa misses you."
I laughed.
"Keifer, the baby can't even hear you properly."
"Shhh. Don't interrupt."
I rolled my eyes.
"Baby, take care of Mama, okay?"
I smiled.
"And don't trouble her too much."
I immediately spoke.
"Excuse me? Your baby is not even born yet and you're already blaming them."
Keifer laughed.
"I'm just warning them."
"Baby, don't listen to Papa."
"Hey!"
We both laughed.
Then Keifer said softly,
"I miss you both."
I smiled and touched my tummy.
"We miss you too."
"Come back soon."
"I will."
"And don't forget me."
"How can I forget you?"
"Good."
I smiled.
"Now sleep."
"You sleep first."
"No, you."
"Jay."
"Keifer."
We both stayed silent for a moment.
Then we started laughing again.
"You are impossible," I said.
"And you love me."
I smiled.
"Maybe."
"Maybe?"
I could hear his offended voice.
I laughed.
"Okay, yes. I love you."
"Much better."
I shook my head.
"Goodnight, baby."
"Goodnight, Jay."
He paused.
"Goodnight, little baby."
I smiled.
"Goodnight, Papa."
And once again, I heard him laugh.
I ended the call and placed my phone beside me.
I looked down at my tummy and smiled.
"Your Papa is so annoying."
I gently rubbed my tummy.
"But I think you already like him."
I smiled to myself before finally closing my eyes.
The next morning, I woke up to the smell of breakfast.
I slowly got out of bed and went downstairs.
"Good morninggg," I said.
"Good morning, baby," Mama said. "Come, sit and eat."
I sat beside them and started eating.
The morning went by peacefully. Mama and Tita kept asking me what I wanted to eat, while I just enjoyed spending time with them.
The next few days passed quickly.
I had gotten used to staying here. Mama and Tita took care of me so well, and I spent most of my time with them. Even Aries would check on me from time to time.
I didn't realize how quickly the days had passed
Honestly, I was happy.
I missed Keifer.
A Few Days Later
I was finishing my packing when Mama came into my room.
"Already packed?"
"Almost."
She looked at my bag and then at me.
"You don't have to come every weekend, you know. We'll come and visit you."
"But I want to come."
Tita, who was standing near the door, smiled.
"You can come whenever you want, but don't trouble yourself. We'll also come and check on you."
I nodded.
"Okay."
A little later, Kuya Angelo came by.
"I'll come over whenever I can and check if Keifer is taking good care of you."
I smiled.
"Why are you checking on Keifer?"
"Because I know him."
I laughed.
"Okay, Kuya."
"Good."
That was all he said before leaving.
I finished getting ready and looked around my room one last time.
"I'll miss you," I whispered.
Mama walked over and hugged me.
"We'll see you soon."
Just then, we heard a car outside.
I immediately recognized it.
"Keifer!"
I quickly went downstairs.
The moment I stepped outside, I saw Keifer getting out of the car.
He smiled the moment he saw me and walked straight toward me.
"Jay!"
He pulled me into a hug.
I laughed and hugged him back tightly.
"I missed you."
"I missed you more."
He pulled away and looked at me for a moment, making sure I was okay.
"You're coming home with me now."
I smiled.
"Yes."
He took my hand and helped me into the car.
Before getting into his seat, he leaned closer and gave me a quick kiss.
I smiled.
"Happy now?"
"Very."
Then his eyes moved toward my tummy.
"And my baby?"
I laughed as he gently placed his hand over my tummy.
"I missed you too, baby."
He leaned down and kissed my tummy softly.
I looked at him with a small smile.
"You missed the baby more than me?"
"No."
He looked at me.
"I missed you both."
I smiled and rested my head against his shoulder.
From outside, Mama and Tita waved at us.
"We'll come and visit you!" Mama called.
"I'll be waiting!"
Keifer started the car, and I looked at him.
He was still smiling.
"Why are you smiling so much?"
"Because you're finally coming home."
I smiled too.
"Yeah..."
I looked down at my tummy and gently placed my hand over it.
"We're going home."
