Kade lowered his phone. "Go on."
Elias glanced down the corridor to ensure they were alone before speaking again.
"I've been examining the pins we removed from Cooper's body. They weren't ordinary needles. Each one carried traces of the witchcraft responsible for his condition, and even after their removal, the residue remained embedded in the metal. More importantly, some of Cooper's tainted blood was still present on them."
Kade's expression hardened. "Can they help us find the person responsible?"
"I believe so." Elias paused before continuing. "There are old medicinal preparations used to reactivate magical traces left behind by a witch. If I prepare the pins with the right mixture, we may be able to make the curse react when one of them comes into contact with the blood of the person responsible."
Kade studied him carefully. "Explain."
