Chapter 6 - Mountain Top

It was still in the morning, bayu could be seen outside the hut, making sand monsters with bayuna and a few other of her friends, they all sat in a circle, creating this mutated monsterosities, they looked irregular but was fun in creating. The morning's sun still beamed over the horizon, greeting the whole Island dwellers.

Bayu laughed as one of the children made a joke about his green spear, he didn't touch it just not to attract any attention to the glistering top, He took a peek at the sun, it was hot shiny and brilliant, yes, but then bayu knew it would not last, not only could he see it, he could also feel it, they were coming, the heavy clouds and the rain, it seemed like it was going to last for longer this season. Bayu wondered when this universal call might actually come, how exactly it was going to happen, he wouldn't like it if it took too long.

Bayu shrugged, hoping nothing bad would have happened before he returned, he wasn't going to be of much help to the village after all, not while he was so weak, he took a stare at his spear, he'll need to enter the ground of the arena again or pass through the cave that divided both humans and monsters, all these were going to be tough. He wondered if his passive skill would be enough to take another monster out.

"Children!" Reesha called from inside the hut, "come and eat, the food is ready again!" The children rushed into the hut like an unhindered storm, bayu was still deep in his thoughts, trying to figure out his next set of an actions, unaware he was staring at the tall mountain far away.

"Bayu?" Reesha called from behind coming out of the hut, with two fishes in her hands.

Bayu you should try climbing the mountain again, you've grown stronger since the last time you tried, she handed the two huge fried fishes to him as he proceeded on the journey, waving him good bye as he disappeared into the village, bayu had barely gotten a few kilometers from the hut and had finished both fishes.

The path to the mountains was usually calm, the huts diminishing and diminishing along the way, bayu raised his hands up stretching as he walked the Sandy path, slowly recalling memories of how strenuous it was to climb the huge rock, it usually took him more than three hours.

As he got closer, he took a gaze at the magnificent mother rock, one of the most beautiful things nature had to offer on the island. "Finally, I'm here," bayu muttered staring up at the mountain, also peering at the parts were holes were created and water whoozed out from. The mountain water was pure and sweet to drink, but that of the pond was sweeter, closer, said to be divine and more available to everyone on the village.

Bayu didn't mind though as far as it was water, he rushed forward, wondering why he hadn't taken his spear with him, he leapt, grabbed onto the part that was closest to him on the mountain, pulling himself and went upwards. "Wow, aunt Reesha was right, have become stronger."

Bayu decided to push himself harder, after all most of the signs of wounds from the arena had vanish.

Probably from the healer dosing him with the healing leaves while he was asleep, bayu leapt from one part to another, suddenly vexed about why some people get to be healers and not go through battle and death situations all the time like he and most men in the village.

After about twenty minutes, bayu was half way through the the mountain, he stared back down

What if I fall?

"Well I'll just pick my self back up again."

He kept on climbing quickly and unyieldingly. A few minutes later he arrived at the top, taking the water pouch he'd kept in his pocket and gulping it all straight down and once.

"Break through," he muttered catching his breath, both exhausted from climbing and drinking water at the same time.

He walked towards the edge, staring down at the water fall, coconut trees and peering at the mighty ocean far beyond, the ocean seemed to have grown larger, bayu shuddered as he stretched his two arms upward.

He suddenly sensed a strange presence, a magical one, ever since he'd gotten an extra point increase on his perception, bayu could now sense the magic in his surroundings, he asked the system about it and had learnt a lot about magic.

But the scent of a magic, was usually weak or far away, but this, this was close, bayu glanced around the mountain top the raggered rocks etched into the earth, moss covering it.

"What is this strange power I sense?"

Bayu paced around the mountain top, the scent seemed to become stronger as the time passed, he looked down towards the water fall, nothing, towards the ocean, he was certain nothing was approaching to him. "Should I ask the system?"

"Not necessary," He kicked a stray rock off, he then gazed at the beauty of the island once more, then turned to get off the mountain.

As bayu crouched down, he heard a rustle, he could feel it the strange energy was closer, someone was also climbing the mountain. His gaze settled on a particular direction were the reek of power was coming from, he could now hear thuds of the aftermath of collapsing rocks.

Bayu knew only two people could climb this mountain and only two usually did, it been a while since she'd last climbed, he wasn't sure maybe she'd climbed when he was asleep, but while he was still conscious she had stopped coming for their little play time for two years straight.

Bayu could see a hand dig it self into the mountain soil, and then pulling out a white haired girl from the below, her gaze directly meeting his, half way up, her demeanor cold, bronze armour plates attached to her shoulder, a busty chest and a white flowing silky dress holding it up, pearls embroidered into her hair, though not whiter, but gleamed like dew drops.

Bronze was the rarest metal you could find on the Sandy island in this times, this could only possibly be;

The daughter of the chief!
