Chapter 5 - Spear Formation

Bayuna screamed on top of her voice dropping the green spear on a girl beside her like it was trash.

Rushing towards him, bayu crouched down, smiling, receiving her into his arms, bayuna held on tight, "you're alive!" she streamed excitedly.

"And what is this?" "Your wounds are gone!" "You're hair seems Greener too, you've been gone for so long bayu I thought you might never return home," bayuna bawled.

"It's alright now, I'm back." He then raised her up, tilting her to his back, he felt a tap on his shoulder, and then a hug, it was his uncle Maxon.

"Bayu, I knew you would make it," Maxon spoke pulling away, while patting his shoulder with a smile, he also got a warm hug from maxon's wife reesha.

That night, the candle lights burned fiercely in both the two sections of the hut, it'd been hanged down from the ceiling's middle to avoid the hut from burning.

It helped in keeping them warm in the cold nights, since it was rainy this times, they had three of the ceiling candles hanged in both rooms. Bayu's hand was placed on bayuna's cheek, he'd been telling her the stories of how he went on various adventures in the dream lands while he was asleep.

She seemed quite interested and hadn't slept even three hours even after midnight, that was how much she had missed him, bayu took a peek at the little girl, she was now deep in sleep. He smiled, adjusting on the bed and staring up at the sparkling fire of the candle lights.

Maxon had updated him about all that had happened, since he passed out, he'd been asleep for two whole months, luckily his team haven't been sent to the arena for execution any more. This was great news to him, he was still in the team but his fate was going to be decided earlier on. Bayu knew it was going to be rough as whoever skipped killing monsters for that long was going to face all the consequences at once, even if they died and somehow got reborn, they won't be exempted.

He turned on the bed facing his green spear which stood in one corner of the room.

That wasn't his only problem, the tides have began rising, the raining seasons were coming, the monsters were going to become fierce and try to breach the wall, seeking shelter from the other side of the island, soon enough they were all gonna be forced to break through their ranks. Whether it pleased them or not, if you don't, you die, only children were exempted, there was nothing they could really do about it, after all, it was the safest way to survive on the island.

He sighed taking a look at the green spear and recalling what the system had said about completing the spear formation, he pulled the blanket off his body, stretching his hand towards it, he heard a whirring sound come out of the spear, it fidgeted.

"System?" He muttered as he tried to stand up on his feet, the tip of the green spear suddenly glowed in response, bayu stared at it in shock and admiration, he walked closer, observing the gleaming part and holding on to it.

"So what you mean by completing the spear formation is making all the parts of it glow, and to make al the parts glow I need to kill more monsters, am I correct system?"

{Affirmative, acolyte is one hundred percent correct}

{Perception points +1 added}

{Acolyte may proceed to getting prepared for the universal call.}

Alright, bayu said clenching his fist, his finally going to be like his mother, having the sort of strength that even the most powerful monsters feared.

Bayu smirked, he was just getting started. But for now he should rest, his wounds haven't totally closed yet, The next morning, the waves crashed continuously on the sea shores, various women gathered with baskets gathering fishes just early in the morning.

Bayu slowly opened his eyes, his gaze falling on figure with green hair beaming down at him intensely.

"Bayuna!"

"Don't wake your cousin up?" Reesha called from behind, bayuna had no plan on listening to her mother as she continuously gazed at the figure impatiently.

Bayu was half awake, he has a weird feeling wasn't really sure, if he had suddenly loved to sleep or if he hated it, his eyes opened, immediately meeting the gaze of bayuna.

"Yes!" "you're back!" She yelled, tossing the rock she was about to hit on his head to a corner in the room, "mother bayu's awake again!"

"Bayu?"

"Do you still eat breakfast?"

"What y-yes I think," bayu stuttered, robbing his eyes, unsure of what was going on around him. "Okay bayu, I'll go get it now!"

Bayu could only smile at the hyper activeness of his cousin she was like this most times and even happier because he was finally here again.

This is what kept most of the people on the island going, the fact that family members to return to exists, a few minutes later bayu had slept back. Reesha had to stop bayuna from throwing a rock at his head.

After breakfast, Reesha decided to take a look at bayu's wounds, before he goes to reveal he's existence in the warriors abode later on. Bayu placed his head in both of her laps as she took a look at the parts of his body that was injured.

This wasn't much of a problem to him though, he did see her as a mother figure just as much as he imagined his actual mother. He yawned shifting his face, he couldn't see bayuna clearly but was certain she was pouting while seating a bit close to them.

"Bayuna what's wrong?" bayu asked inquisitively, "put your head on my leg instead," she pouted. "It's not too small you know." Bayuna spoke pointing at both of her laps, hands gesturing for bayu to come rest his head.

"Bayuna?" Bayu rolled his eyes, "it's too small."
