Chapter 7 - Rhaeger the strong

Bayu was lost as to why he was sensing so many tremors of energy from her, his magical energy was zero compared to her's, he wondered how she got this strong, maybe she had a system of her own, or it was just the consistent killing of monsters.

She's after all one of the warriors with the most survival time outside the walls.

But still, they haven't discovered magic in the village, so what really is going on.

"Are you going to remain lost in your own little world or help me get up?"

Bayu snapped out of the reverie, he had not realized he'd left her there. He paused, his gaze straight, "why should I help you?"

"Who am I to you?"

Those questions coincidentally came out from his mouth, he knew he could die for it, he could really be hanged for it, worse they could just fling him over the walls. But he was willing to take his chance.

"So you'll leave me here," the ravishing figure of the chief's daughter spoke. Bayu rolled his eyes, "well I was just leaving, you don't really need help though, you just climbed that mountain, like it was taking an evening walk."

Bayu was certain of that since he has sensed that amount of energy from her. "Are you saying we are not friends any longer?"

The chief's daughter asked a bit of hesitation in her voice, bayu rolled his eyes , "well if you are a friend you would have come in this past two years wouldn't you have."

"Yes I would," she muttered. Bayu stepped forward, taking hold of her hand and pulling her upwards. He was amused, on close inspection, he figured she looked a lot different, she had grown even more beautiful and her white hair, glistening as gloriously as ever.

He pulled her up, The chief's daughter leaned in closer, she stared intently at his face. "You've changed," she spoke with a subtle voice, bayu felt a weird feeling inside him, he couldn't stand her being so close.

"I'm sorry I've been gone for so long," she apologized, "bayu do you forgive me?"

"No."

Bayu answered, turning away from her presence and walking to the other side of the mountain, he sat, while staring at the sea gulls flying just close to the shores, beyond the wilderness. He wasn't trying to have an upper edge on the conversation but he felt absolutely nervous, she's become exhilaratingly beautiful, her eyes were sharp and glowing she had that pompous body of a young woman and a strange arousing scent bayu knew he couldn't avoid.

He was still stuck imagining what he just saw, while she sat beside him.

"Bayu if I jump off this mountain, would you follow me?"

"Why would you do that?" "You'll die." Bayu spoke non challantly. Alright then. She answered then jumped!

Elara!

Bayu screamed watching her tumble down the steep slope, she grabbed on to a jagged outcrop of stone, kuttong out like a helping hand.

"Come," she yelled from down below, well it won't hurt to try bayu thought to himself, following suit.

Elara let go of the rocks, grabbing on to a vine that curled up in the mountain like webs, flinging off and disappearing out of sight into the thick woods. Bayu scrambled down speedily, at this rate, he might not survive.

He got closer to the vines, they were just within his reach he stared down the water fall, it suddenly felt like an endless abyss, that stretched to nothing but darkness, bayu inhaled the crisp air of the mountain, exhaling out fear.

He grabbed on to one of the vines, swinging in the direction Elara went, that moment suspended between life and a heavy fall, his heart exploding within his chest, in a long swerve bayu crashed into one of the tree branches.

I'm alive, he wondered to himself, shocked. A wave of brightness Washing over him. His eyes danced around, wondering were Elara had went, he got the smug feeling she probably left him again, he shrugged off the thoughts. Pulling the branch in a desperate attempt to get closer to the tree.

A warm presence seeped in from behind, hands wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer, he could feel her heart beat against his back, soothing and comforting.

"It's alright now bayu, I promise I won't leave you again," "you won't leave me too would you?"

"I'll try, bayu muttered wondering if she stood on a branch or was just floating on air, so you forgive me now?"

She pressed her chest, closer to his back. Eyes squinted hoping for a good response. "Yes I do forgive you, Elara."

Leaves were plucked down from the tree as the figure of both bayu and Elara climbed down the branches.

They settled down on the ground, bayu asked a question that had been eating up his mind.

'Why did you go for so long?" You had me worried. Elara put on a sad face, "two years and I did the best I could to get here." "There's a lot out there, bayu, a lot we have discovered, I'll have told you a bit, but someone else wants to, the other part every one will have to."

Elara raised her head up, staring at bayu intently, she leapt, hands wrapping around him, "I'll try my best to see you again bayu," she hummed behind his ear.

She took a step back wards, "don't die," she commanded.

"I won't."

"His waiting for you back at your hut. Oh alright."

Elara's gaze abruptly shifted to one of the trees, bayu turned, peering at it, it was just some bushes. He turned his gaze back and she was gone, bayu was stunned, he couldn't sense her energy anymore.

"Not bad.. Not bad at all," he muttered.

Bayu dragged himself back to uncle maxon's hut, wondering mid way who Elara had spoken about. Far away he could see, a bunch of people gather at the front of his hunt.

It was his team!

In their midst, Bayu's eyes caught a huge figure, his body wrapped around in leaves.

"Impossible!"

Bayu yelled, jaw dropping,

"Rhaeger!"
