Chapter 77: Savior?
Just before Noah's body completely exploded, the space behind us suddenly twisted.
At first, I thought I was so exhausted that I was seeing hallucinations. The gray sky before my eyes was pulled askew to one side, as if an invisible hand had grabbed hold of the entire world and wrung it hard.
Jagged lines of light appeared in midair, overlapping one another, cracking into countless transparent fragments.
The air let out a piercing screech.
"What now...?"
I stumbled backward while holding Han Sahee tightly. My other hand remained pressed against Noah's chest, trying to use Guiding to slow down the chaotic flow of energy inside his body.
But it was useless.
Another dull explosion echoed from Noah's chest. Streaks of dark purple light crawled up his neck, tearing through flesh, distorting that handsome face with agony. Blood spilled from the corner of his lips, and his body convulsed continuously as if something inside was ripping him apart.
