Chapter 76: A Desperate Dead End
The Boss slowly descended into the middle of the murky sky.
First, its bare toes touched the muddy ground, so lightly that they barely made a sound. Then came its long legs, covered in a thin layer of white light, a slender figure identical to a human's, with a face so beautiful it was hard to look at directly.
Behind it were three pairs of wings.
Six pristine white wings spread wide in the air, each feather radiating a holy light. But it was precisely that beauty that sent a chill down my spine. Humanoid-type Bosses were the most terrifying kind among all the Bosses in the rift.
The angel-type Boss tilted its head, looking at us with pale yellow eyes devoid of any emotion.
"So beautiful..."
A B-rank Esper muttered.
Immediately after, his body stiffened. A beam of light from the Boss's eyes pierced through his chest, and he fell without even a scream.
"Don't look into its eyes!"
