Sam was driving through a quiet stretch of road when he spotted a young woman standing at a distance. She had fair skin and brown hair, her posture calm but alert.
He slowed the car, stopped beside her, and opened the door.
"Get in."
She slid into the passenger seat without hesitation.
As Sam drove, silence hung between them—until she broke it.
"What's the matter, Steve?" she asked casually.
Sam's grip tightened on the steering wheel.
"I've got a job for you," he said.
"You can ask for any amount you want in return."
She laughed—short, sharp, mocking.
"What a joke."
Sam glanced at her, irritation flaring.
"What do you mean? Do you think I don't have work to offer?"
She smirked.
"That's the second thing worth laughing about."
Then she added, amused,
"You? Having money to pay me?"
Sam slammed the brakes slightly, anger rising.
"I'm not paying you."
She raised an eyebrow.
"Then who is?"
Sam hesitated for a beat.
"The Mask Man."
Her expression changed instantly.
"What?"
Sam's phone rang.
That unknown number again.
He picked.
"Is she coming?" the masked voice asked.
The woman turned toward the phone.
"What's the job?"
"Don't worry, miss," the man replied calmly.
"We'll discuss it."
She narrowed her eyes.
"You expect me to work without knowing what it is?"
A pause.
"Alright," the man said. "Let's meet and talk."
Sam asked, "Where?"
The answer came cold and clear.
"At the wrecked hospital."
The moment the words left the phone—
Both Sam and the woman froze.
They both looked each other.
Lady said, Are sure we're going there?
Sam replied,"Why not?"
Lady replied,"Don't you remember?"
Sam said seriously,"That place doesn't bother me anymore."
What they were talking about,is there anything related to them in the past with that place?
This is the question to be answered.
