Chapter 14 - I Deem You to Be Alive!

"As expected of a dragon."

Kawashima Toya wasn't too surprised. After all, it was a giant dragon; even in death, its remaining might would be formidable.

As he walked along the path, every tree around him was snapped in two.

Even the trees that hadn't been split in half were bent low under the dragon's overwhelming pressure.

Acting as if nothing were wrong, Toya quickly headed deeper into the mountains. He wanted to see if the dragon was dead yet.

If it wasn't dead, he would try to save it.

Though by the time he arrived, it would probably be dead...

If it were dead, that would be even better.

The precious materials from a giant dragon's corpse were treasures in any world.

If preserved well and forged into a Noble Phantasm later, it would definitely be a massive boost to his strength.

Ten minutes later.

Toya reached the end of the road that had been smashed apart by the dragon's massive body. He looked down into the ravine at the green dragon lying at the bottom of the cliff.

"This is..."

Toya stared solemnly at the green dragon prone at the base of the cliff, a light sword radiating divine energy pierced into its back.

"It can't be her, can it?"

"Tohru..."

The green dragon below, whose eyes were about to close in death, bore an uncanny resemblance to the dragon named Tohru from an anime he had seen in his past life.

Tohru's identity in the anime was quite illustrious.

Her father was the leader of the Chaos Faction, the Emperor of Demise, and she had many friends.

Every one of her friends had a massive background—entities one absolutely should not provoke.

Looking at Tohru's massive, bulky dragon body, Toya sighed secretly. "What a pity. I won't be able to get a dragon corpse."

If he harbored any ill intent toward Tohru, he believed the Dragon God Lucoa, who constantly watched over her, would appear in an instant.

"Since I can't kill you, I'll save you!"

"I don't ask that you become my ally, just don't let this already bad situation get any worse."

Toya found a small path and made his way to Tohru, who was heavily injured and on the verge of death.

Tohru's massive dragon eyes took one last look at Toya before slowly closing.

She had no strength left. The power within her was being constantly eroded by the god's sword. She wasn't far from death.

This lowly human wanted to take the opportunity to kill her, and she had no strength to resist. She could only quietly await the arrival of death.

"Hey, don't die on me," Toya shouted urgently when he saw Tohru's eyes close and heard her breathing almost vanish. "Hold on a little longer!"

Not daring to waste time, Toya hurriedly climbed up her dragon body.

A sword of light, emitting an incomparably pure and holy aura, was pierced into Tohru's back.

It prevented her powerful self-healing abilities and vitality as a dragon from functioning.

"Hm? How do I solve this?" Toya frowned as he looked at the divine sword.

A feeling from his very soul told him that this sword was extremely dangerous and shouldn't be touched lightly.

If he used the method of that female programmer from the anime, he estimated that this day next year would be the anniversary of his death.

"Can I do this?"

"Use the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception?"

A bold idea surfaced in Toya's mind. Doing this might allow me to cut the divine sword directly.

At this moment, Tohru, hanging by a thread, lay on the ground, letting Toya do as he pleased.

She had no idea that Toya had come up with such an audacious plan.

Mystic Eyes of Death Perception!

Toya's eyes gradually turned a clear azure blue, resembling the deepest sky without a single impurity.

In his vision, Tohru's massive dragon body was covered in Points and Lines of Death.

He only needed to lightly trace a sharp object across them to easily kill this giant dragon.

"No Points or Lines of Death on the sword?"

Toya's expression tightened slightly. "This won't do. If I can't save Tohru, things will get troublesome later."

He didn't dare to gamble on whether the Dragon God was watching Tohru or not.

If he bet wrong, the Dragon God Lucoa might take her anger out on him.

"Maybe I can do this."

"The Outer Level Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are definitely not as simple as they appear."

A sharp glint flashed in Toya's eyes as he stared intensely at the divine sword. "I deem you to be alive!"

"You must have Lines and Points of Death!!!"

Accompanying Toya's continuous mental suggestion, Points and Lines of Death gradually emerged on the pure, holy sword.

Toya looked at the divine sword with satisfaction. "That's more like it."

"Now I can 'kill' you!"

Toya took out his wooden sword and slashed lightly at the Point of Death.

Faced with the Outer Level Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, even a divine sword created by a god was of no avail.

The Point of Death shattered, and the pure, holy divine power of the sword slowly dispersed in all directions.

This was a sword painstakingly forged by a god to kill the Emperor of Demise's daughter, Tohru.

It contained a massive amount of dragon-slaying power—a sword that even the Dragon God was helpless against—yet it vanished so easily.

If not for the faint divine power dissipating in the air, perhaps no one would know that this supposedly indestructible divine sword had been destroyed with such ease.
