Logan took a deep breath, trying to calm the tremor in his chest. He rubbed his temples, his expression still somewhat dazed.

The news he'd just heard was too impactful.

This was something almost every Mutant dreamed of.

And now, hope had actually appeared—so sudden, yet so real.

"Do you have confidence?" Logan's face was serious, his voice low. He knew this was no small matter.

Once this news spread, it would be enough to overturn the existing world order. High-ranking human officials would never sit idly by, watching Mutants rise and even surpass humanity.

Although relations between humans and Mutants had slightly eased due to the external threat brought by the 72 Pillars of Solomon, the premise of all that was simple—Mutants hadn't truly shaken the foundation of human rule.

The power holders of this world were, after all, ordinary people.

But if Mutants could truly evolve—from awakening abilities, to gradually perfecting them, to systematically and intensively developing those powers, achieving self-breakthroughs and forming a complete evolutionary path—then the current world order would completely change.

Just like Adrian once said: a new social system based on humans, with Mutants as the direction of evolution.

Thinking about this, Logan's breathing became heavier, his chest heaving.

"Your physical quality is already close to the human limit," Adrian said, his tone calm yet carrying undeniable power.

"Within your soul, there's already the light of Cosmo. The moment you truly awaken it, you'll naturally understand whether all of this is true or false."

He glanced at Logan, then looked at Clarisse and Anna Marie, his voice becoming serious. "But this matter can only be known by the few of us for now. Understand?"

A shiver ran through all three of them simultaneously.

Although Clarisse and Anna Marie didn't fully grasp the depth of the implications, seeing Adrian's solemn expression, they nodded gravely too. They trusted him and would never casually spread the word.

"I still underestimated you." Logan gave a wry smile and shook his head.

"I didn't expect the vision you described to me back then... to have created such a situation so quickly."

He still found it somewhat unbelievable, but he trusted Adrian. The guy would never deceive him on something like this.

"The time isn't ripe yet." Adrian looked into the distance, his eyes deep.

"To achieve a bloodless, civil-war-free shift in status between Mutants and humans is extremely difficult. If we rely on force to suppress humanity, even if we're temporarily successful, it'll only deepen the misunderstanding and hatred between the two groups. To truly complete this step... we still need to wait."

The plan had taken shape, but he knew this couldn't be rushed.

What's more, Adrian vaguely knew about potential future crises—the descent of hell, the invasion of dimensional demons, and even... Galactus.

None of these beings were easy to deal with.

The Ancient One's life was on a countdown, about to return to eternity. Even the Vishanti couldn't interfere with her destiny. How many more years could she protect Earth?

Whether Doctor Strange existed in this universe was still unknown. Although in most universes the position was held by Strange, there were exceptions.

For example, in some universes, Tony Stark held that role.

Because of this, Adrian held confidence in a non-civil-war transformation.

But the premise was that he could maintain the fragile balance between humans and Mutants over these next few years.

Otherwise, once extremists among the Mutants were driven to a dead end and chose to restart the timeline, all efforts would be for nothing.

The grand sorcerer and the dimensional demons... might not be handled by the same person.

At the same time, deep within the Brotherhood of Mutants' stronghold.

Crack!

The metal structure of the stronghold vibrated violently, as if it could collapse at any moment.

"Ignorant! Idealistic idiot!" Erik growled, his eyes burning with rage.

He hadn't expected that Raven's mission would not only run into Vatican people, but that Clarisse would directly take the girl back to the Apostolic Palace.

What angered him even more were Adrian's mocking words. He'd originally thought that even if their paths differed, their goals were the same. But now? It seemed the other guy was just another compromiser, only slightly better than Charles!

"The plan stays the same," Erik ordered coldly, his emotions gradually suppressed, though his gaze grew sharper.

"As for Anna Marie... I'll go personally."

Having traversed the world for decades, wanted by multiple countries yet always remaining free, he'd never relied on anyone's benevolence—only on absolute power.

Since Adrian invited him to the Vatican "as a guest," then he'd go meet this rising Vatican envoy!

"Erik, Adrian's strength is still unfathomable..." Raven couldn't help but advise.

"From the news coming from all sides, he's probably stronger than we imagine."

Although high-ranking officials from various countries tried their best to block the news, they'd still caught some whispers. Those ambiguous intelligence reports, the sudden actions of conglomerates to recruit Mutants... all pointed to one fact: Adrian's strength far exceeded what was apparent.

"No matter who he is," Erik's voice was cold. "As long as he obstructs the future of Mutants, he's worthless."

Adrian wasn't Charles. There was no decades-long friendship between them. He wouldn't be soft-hearted!

Even if Adrian's existence did bring some positive changes for Mutants.

"I understand. Be careful with everything."

Raven responded softly. She knew she couldn't dissuade him.

She still believed in Erik's strength.

The plan continued to advance.

Just a week later, the target senator was successfully brought into the Brotherhood's stronghold by Raven, transformed into a Mutant, and awakened his abilities.

Erik watched all of this, the light in his eyes growing brighter.

It was as if the bright future of Mutants was already within reach.

"Indeed... I'm the correct one," he murmured, his tone becoming increasingly firm.

"What does that kid know?"

He was convinced that his chosen path was the only way out for Mutants.

"Keep an eye on that senator. Now... it's time to go to the Vatican."

Erik turned, his metal cape moving without wind.

Anna Marie—he was determined to have her.

Through the Brotherhood's special channels, Magneto quietly set off, heading straight for the Vatican.

A conflict was already imminent.

Inside the Apostolic Palace, Adrian's mind suddenly stirred. His Sixth Sense sent a clear warning.

He opened his eyes and looked in a certain direction.

"Interesting," he muttered softly. "A Sixth Sense warning... it's been a while."

"Is it for me? Even stronger than Valac's descended form."

He raised an eyebrow slightly.

Adrian slowly got up, ended his meditation, and pushed open the door.

"Your Eminence? Why are you..." Outside the door, Clarisse, who'd been guiding Anna Marie in training, was somewhat surprised. Adrian had come out of meditation in less than a day this time, unlike usual.

"Personal matter." Adrian smiled faintly, not saying more.

He couldn't let the battlefield be at the Vatican.

The elemental robe silently covered his entire body, and the next moment, he shot into the sky, transforming into a streak of light and disappearing into the horizon.

Enveloped by the elemental robe, even breaking the sound barrier didn't cause the slightest noise.
