Ring, ring...

Inside the Apostolic Palace, Adrian's phone rang again. He glanced at the caller ID and pressed answer.

"Adrian, the Brotherhood of Mutants... they want to talk to you." Logan's voice came through, with faint sounds of wind and heavy breathing in the background—clearly indicating the situation was still pretty tense.

Adrian held the phone, his gaze distant.

Logan encountering the Brotherhood meant Magneto had already set his sights on Rogue... Anna Marie.

That machine was probably ready. According to what Adrian knew would happen, soon Magneto would forcibly transform a senator into a Mutant, and that person would ultimately die from genetic collapse.

The machine was essentially a failure. Technology simply couldn't wield the power to create life. The X-gene was far from something a simple device could manipulate. All it could do was temporarily suppress or distort abilities, never truly transform them.

"What do you want to say?"

Adrian's cold voice emanated from the speaker. Despite being thousands of miles away, it inexplicably made every Mutant present feel an indescribable sense of pressure, as if he stood right before them.

"Your Eminence Adrian." Raven stepped forward, trying to keep her tone steady.

"The Brotherhood has no intention of being enemies with the Vatican or with you. It's just... Erik's plan requires that Mutant named Anna Marie. If the plan succeeds, the future will belong to Mutants!"

She tried to sway him with the greater good of their race.

But the phone remained silent.

A moment later, a scornful chuckle sounded.

"Has Magneto lost his mind?" Adrian's voice stayed calm, yet carried undeniable authority.

"Revolution does come with sacrifice and bloodshed, but it should never be wasted on meaningless endeavors like this."

"Attempting to transform humans into Mutants? You'd better first understand the true origin of Mutant powers."

He paused briefly, then decisively ordered: "Bring Anna Marie back to the Vatican. If they still try to stop you... then kill them."

The call cut off, leaving only a dial tone.

Adrian gave them zero room for negotiation.

The Brotherhood members' faces turned grim. They hadn't expected him to completely disregard Magneto's standing.

Raven was the most shocked. Magneto's plan was highly classified. How the hell did the Vatican know about it?

"Has the Vatican's intelligence capability reached this level?" Her expression shifted, but she didn't dare say another word.

Because right now, Clarisse's eyes were burning with intense battle intent, the temperature rapidly rising around them, the air distorting until it was difficult to breathe.

"You heard him." Logan grinned, his eyes filled with fierce fighting spirit.

"Adrian's stance is crystal clear. You're welcome to visit the Vatican anytime."

Before he even finished speaking, the ground beneath his feet subtly trembled, resonating with his steady heartbeat, as if it could unleash a raging storm at any moment.

Raven's gaze swept over Logan and Clarisse, her eyes full of frustration. But she knew deep down she was powerless to break this deadlock.

Given the power these two had displayed so far—controlling earth, wielding fire and space—no one in the Brotherhood could match them unless Magneto himself showed up.

"...Let's go!" She gritted her teeth and ordered.

Sabretooth glared fiercely at Logan, his eyes violent, seemingly still wanting to pounce and fight to the death.

But catching sight of the flames swirling around Clarisse, he ultimately suppressed the impulse. The taste of being burned to a crisp and then regenerating wasn't pleasant.

The Brotherhood quickly retreated, disappearing into the night.

Seeing them leave, Clarisse and Logan slowly reined in their powers. The dry heat in the air gradually receded, and the ground's tremors subsided.

Logan looked at the red-haired woman beside him. This was the Queen of Space, famous throughout Europe. Her strength really was unfathomable.

"Are they... are they gone?"

Rogue Anna cautiously peeked out from the motel room. Seeing only Logan and Clarisse, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"This isn't a place to stick around," Clarisse said, her tone softening slightly as she turned to the girl.

"We're heading back to the Vatican first."

She raised her hand, opening a shimmering golden portal.

A Mutant who could draw competition from both Adrian and Magneto must be extraordinary. They needed to get her back to the Vatican as soon as possible.

Inside the Apostolic Palace, Adrian put down the phone and fell into thought.

Magneto's disruption would inevitably cause new waves in the already somewhat calm Mutant situation. Humanity's fear and suppression of Mutants would only intensify.

Even without Magneto, someone would always jump out to stir up trouble.

Not all high-ranking officials wanted to see humans and Mutants coexist peacefully. Even in today's world, with demon gods appearing, some still blindly believed that technology and nuclear weapons could suppress all supernatural powers.

"Seems like it's time to completely unveil this mystery," Adrian murmured, looking out the window.

The Mutant population was growing daily. More and more ordinary people were becoming aware of their existence due to awakenings among those around them. It was futile for governments to keep trying to cover it up.

"Perhaps we can use this opportunity to formally bring the extraordinary world to the forefront."

A plan gradually formed in his mind. Magneto's actions certainly brought pressure, but if handled properly, it could be an opportunity for the Vatican to further expand its influence.

Currently, the Star Saint Legion's scale was still too small, and its members lacked real combat experience. Cultivating strong individuals wasn't an overnight task. Adrian had the patience to wait, but he felt... the manpower was nowhere near enough.

Soon after, a shimmering portal opened in the Apostolic Palace. Clarisse returned to the Vatican with Anna Marie and Logan.

"Seems like you haven't been slacking on your training," Adrian said, his gaze falling on Logan first.

"Of course. Haven't been lazy for a single day." Logan smiled.

"Cultivating Cosmo is fundamental." Adrian nodded slightly.

"When you awaken your Cosmo, your strength will undergo a qualitative leap. Upon reaching the Sixth Sense, practitioners will awaken their own superpowers."

He paused, then looked at Logan and Anna Marie, continuing:

"And the X-gene, in a sense, is the superpower latent within the human body. In other words, if you awaken your Sixth Sense, your self-healing ability will enhance even further. Simply put, cultivating Cosmo can not only help Mutants better control their abilities, but even perfect and strengthen them."

He let that sink in.

"Do you understand what this means?"

This was an important discovery Adrian had made during his recent meditation.

Due to his unique soul, he'd additionally awakened psychokinesis, and his elemental control power had increased accordingly. The "element blessing" ability was the effect of Cosmo's advancement.

This unexpected gain might change the fate of the entire Mutant race.

"This means... Mutants are saved!"

Before Logan could respond, Anna Marie spoke excitedly, her eyes sparkling with hope. "We're no longer outcasts feared and rejected by humans... We'll become the leaders of a new era!"
