Chapter 95 - The Genesis Crucible

[The Vault of User 001 - Inside the Dyson Sphere]

The Revenant glided through the golden gates of the Dyson Sphere. Inside, it wasn't a dark tomb. It was a perfectly preserved paradise . A continent of lush green forests, silver rivers, and towering crystal skyscrapers, all illuminated by the captive white dwarf star at the center.

"Life support is perfect," Dawn reported, her voice filled with digital awe. "No radiation. No hostile lifeforms. It is a sealed utopia."

Alex didn't look at the skyscrapers. His eyes were fixed on the central plaza. Resting on a pedestal of solid diamond was a glowing, ethereal forge shaped like a lotus flower.

"The Genesis Crucible," Alex whispered.

He didn't wait for the ship to land. He used his Titan Body to leap from the Revenant's airlock, crashing onto the diamond plaza. Luna and Valerius followed closely behind.

[The First Tycoon]

As Alex approached the Crucible, the diamond pedestal glowed. A hologram materialized. It wasn't an AI. It was a recording of an ancient, multi-armed alien wearing a tattered businessman's suit.

[Designation: User 001 - The Founder.]

"If you are watching this," the hologram spoke, his voice exhausted but proud. "Then you defeated The Hunger. You didn't try to out-gun it. You outsmarted it. I was the First Tycoon. I built this sphere to hide my wealth, but I learned too late that capital is useless if it doesn't move."

The hologram looked directly at Alex. "The God-Tycoon System is not a game, successor. It is a weapon. The universe is owned by a monopoly—the 'Board of Directors.' They create the Systems. They farm us for entertainment and profit. To beat them, you need more than a factory. You need infinite liquidity."

User 001 raised a hand. "I leave you my seed capital. Do not hide like I did. Go buy the Universe."

[System Alert: LEGACY TRANSFER INITIATED.] [Inheritance Confirmed: The Vault of User 001.] [Balance Updated: +1,000,000,000,000,000 GC.]

Alex stared at his System Interface. [Current Balance: 1 Quadrillion Galactic Credits.]

[The Resurrection]

Alex's hands trembled. Not from the infinite wealth, but from what that wealth could finally buy. He approached the Genesis Crucible .

[System Prompt: Activate the Genesis Crucible? Cost: 1 Quadrillion GC. Requirement: Ownership of a Class-2 Civilization (Met).]

"Take it," Alex said, his voice breaking for the first time since Chapter 1. "Take every last credit."

[Transaction Authorized. Balance: 0 GC.]

Alex unclasped the Aegis Quantum Pendant from his neck. Inside that small glowing gem was the digitized soul of Elena, the woman who had died five years ago because Alex couldn't afford her medical bills.

He gently placed the pendant into the center of the Crucible. The forge ignited. It didn't burn with fire; it burned with pure, golden creation energy. The fabric of reality warped around the pedestal as the System rewrote biology from scratch.

Bones formed. Muscle knit together. Skin flawless and breathing. The blinding light faded.

Lying on the diamond pedestal was Elena. She looked exactly as she had the day he lost her, dressed in a simple white hospital gown, but glowing with perfect health.

Her eyes fluttered open. She looked confused, staring at the alien sky, the towering Praetorian Guards, and the S-Class Assassin standing nearby.

Then, she saw Alex.

"Alex?" she whispered, her voice soft and familiar. "Did... did we afford the surgery?"

Alex fell to his knees, wrapping his arms around her, burying his face in her shoulder. The ruthless CEO, the Emperor of the Core, the man who bankrupts planets for fun, finally let out a breath he had been holding for five years.

"Yeah," Alex smiled, a tear slipping down his cheek. "We afforded it. I told you I'd buy you the world."

[The Cliffhanger]

Above them, the captive star flickered. The emotional reunion was interrupted by a sound that shook the very foundations of the pocket dimension. A massive, echoing chime, like a cosmic grandfather clock striking midnight.

Dawn's avatar materialized, glowing an urgent, terrifying crimson.

"Sir," Dawn warned, her voice devoid of its usual calm. "The transfer of 1 Quadrillion Credits has triggered a Universal Audit. The 'Board of Directors' has detected your location."

[System Alert: TIER-4 ASCENSION ACHIEVED.] [WARNING: Hostile Takeover Initiated by 'The Creators'.] [Sector 0 has been locked down.]

Alex helped Elena to her feet, wiping his eyes. His vulnerability vanished, instantly replaced by the Tycoon's Aura.

"Luna. Valerius," Alex turned to his crew, his eyes flashing with predatory gold light. "Prepare the fleet. It looks like we have a meeting with upper management."
