[The Vault of User 001 - Inside the Singularity]
The Cosmic Predator drifted through the vacuum of the pocket dimension, a mass of jagged, light-consuming dark matter. It didn't roar. It didn't need to. The sheer gravitational weight of its hunger was crushing the hull of the Revenant.
"Boss!" Admiral Valerius shouted from the tactical console, sweat pouring down his scarred face. "It's moving toward us! I'm firing the main railguns!"
"No, wait!" Lady Vesper screamed, clutching her terminal.
It was too late. The Revenant's massive forward cannons fired a volley of Mach-500 tungsten slugs. As the kinetic rounds hit the beast, they didn't explode. They dissolved into pure golden energy and were absorbed into the dark matter. The beast grew ten percent larger instantly.
"It eats value!" Vesper panicked, her violet skin pale. "Energy, mass, currency—it's all capital to The Hunger! User 001 spent Trillions of GC on orbital lasers to kill it, and he just ended up feeding it until it swallowed his entire solar system!"
Alex stood perfectly still on the observation deck, watching the beast expand. He had 7 Billion Galactic Credits in liquid cash. If he bought a Tier-3 weapon to shoot the beast, he would just be serving it a multi-billion-credit buffet.
"Dawn," Alex's voice was ice-cold. "If this entity consumes 'Capital', does the God-Tycoon System recognize it as a financial entity?"
"Scanning..." Dawn's avatar flickered with gold light. "Affirmative, Sir. The entity's biological matrix functions as an infinite, unregulated cosmic bank account. It is currently attempting to forcibly 'withdraw' your 7 Billion GC."
"A bank account," Alex smiled. The Tycoon's Aura flared around him, pushing back the beast's psychic pressure. "Vesper. User 001 was a fool. If someone is trying to rob your bank account, you don't throw more money at them."
[The Junk Bonds]
Alex opened the newly unlocked Tier-3 System Store. He ignored the weapons. He ignored the fleets. He scrolled all the way down to the dark, heavily regulated tab labeled: [Derivatives & Debt Markets].
"Dawn. Contact the Intergalactic Banking Guild's automated clearing house. Look for 'Toxic Assets'. I want the absolute worst, most irredeemable defaulted planetary loans in the galaxy."
"Querying IBG Servers..." Dawn replied. "Found: The 'Sector 9 Subprime Package'. It contains the defaulted debt of four thousand dead planets. Total Liability: -100 Trillion GC. It is entirely worthless. The Guild is offering it for pennies just to get it off their balance sheets."
"Buy it," Alex ordered.
[Transaction Authorized.] [Expenditure: 1,000,000 GC.] [Current Balance: 6,999,000,000 GC.] [Asset Acquired: -100 Trillion GC Debt Portfolio.]
Valerius stared at Alex as if he had lost his mind. "Boss, you just bought a hundred trillion in debt?! The Iron Bank will execute us!"
"I'm not keeping it, Admiral," Alex's eyes flashed gold. "I'm making a donation."
[The Margin Call]
The Cosmic Predator opened its massive, jagged maw, lunging at the Revenant to consume Alex's wealth.
"Dawn," Alex tapped his Imperial Black Card against the console. "Transfer the entire Sector 9 Subprime Debt Portfolio into the entity's 'account'. Route it as a direct capital injection."
"Executing Wire Transfer..." A beam of pure, corrupted red data shot from the Revenant's comms array directly into the open maw of the Cosmic Predator. The beast swallowed it eagerly, expecting a feast of capital.
For a microsecond, nothing happened. Then, the beast violently convulsed. The dark matter began to boil. Its form shattered and fractured as the infinite debt crashed its internal economy. It shrieked—a psychic scream of absolute financial agony.
[System Alert: MASSIVE DEFICIT DETECTED.]
The booming, mechanical voice of the God-Tycoon System echoed through the entire pocket dimension, overriding the beast's screams.
[Entity: 'The Hunger' balance updated.] [Current Balance: -100,000,000,000,000 GC.] [Status: Extreme Default.] [Initiating Tier-3 Liquidation Protocol.]
"What is happening?!" Vesper gasped, watching the fabric of space tear open above the beast.
"The System audited me yesterday because I had zero liquidity," Alex adjusted his cuffs. "Let's see what it does to a monster that owes a hundred trillion."
[The Liquidation]
A colossal, blinding pillar of golden light descended from the roof of the pocket dimension. It wasn't a weapon; it was a System Liquidation Beam, the exact same force that the Debt Collector had threatened Earth with.
The beam struck the Cosmic Predator. The beast didn't explode. It was simply repossessed.
Layer by layer, the dark matter was stripped away, digitized into gold coins, and confiscated by the System to pay off the toxic debt. In less than ten seconds, the Apex-Class horror that had devoured the First Tycoon was completely erased from existence.
[System Alert: Liquidation Complete. Debt Cleared.]
The void was silent. The path to the golden Dyson Sphere was wide open.
Valerius dropped his plasma rifle, his hands shaking. "You... you killed a god with a credit card."
"No, Valerius," Alex took a sip of his coffee. "I killed it with a bad mortgage. Now, bring us alongside the Sphere. It's time to collect my inheritance."
