Jack turned around to see the claws of the two figures close to his chest and head , his eyes widened as death flashed past his eyes.
Suddenly, huge pressure crashed on both warriors slamming them into the ground with a sickening thud.
"Ahh", the both of them let out a pained groan as they tried to get up, fighting against the pressure.
The ground creaked beneath them as the pressure intensified; the more they fought, the stronger the pressure.
"Who gave you the audacity to tell a possible candidate for the awakening to leave the hall without even testing him?".
Both warriors forced their heads to look up, their gaze landed on a warrior in his golden-black power armor.
"Sir golem warlord", the two figure's eyes widened in pure terror from within their armor, sweat already forming on their unseen faces.
"Welcome, sir, golem warlord", the warriors from the Jason family slammed a hand on their chest in unison as they greeted the warrior floating into the hall a few meters in the air.
"You know for you guys being awakened warriors is a disappointment to all of humanity".
With a wave of a hand, the silver-armored warrior was pulled closer, stopping before the golem warlord.
"What made you remove his name from the list?", sir golem warlord asked in a cold tone.
The silver armored warrior groaned as he tried to break free from the force threatening to squeeze him to pulp but to no avail. "I...I didn't remove his name from the list, his name just wasn't on the list".
Without saying anything, sir golem warlord raised his left arm horizontally and a screen appeared.
Imputing a few things on the screen, not long after a name appeared on the holographic screen.
No 350 : Jack Smith
"What is this ?".
The silver armored warrior groaned as the pressing force intensified, his bones making creaking sounds, "I'm sorry sir, I just wanted to teach him a lesson".
"Why is that?".
"I...I just wanted to teach him a lesson".
The warrior screamed as he could feel his arms almost breaking.
"A warrior stationed around here told me the boy disrespected him so I...I decided to teach him a lesson".
"Who's the trash warrior?".
"He's...he's..."
The steel door whooshed open with force.
A man with light goatee beard, short black hair, was pulled into the hall, screaming.
He slammed into sir golem warlord's outstretched arm.
"Sir golem warlord, I ...", he choked , his face grew pale, bulging with veins, and he clawed at the armored hand gripping his neck, "I...I'm sorry sir, I just wanted to teach the boy a lesson for going against me".
Jack clenched his fist tightly, a deep frown crept on his face, he couldn't believe the warrior who was involved in his father's death would still try to set him up cause he refused the ride he offered.
"I see, you just wanted to teach him a lesson. Do you all clearly remember what this boy did? Let me refresh your rusty memories if you don't.
"I don't stay around here but the news spread even to the central city". "This boy killed a camo lizard as a mundane human, this should have earned him your respect, if not your acknowledgement, but you still decided to set him up.
The man gasped for air as he crashed on the ground harshly, before he could even take in a breath, intense pressure crashed down on him like a tidal wave, blood flowed out of his mouth as he got pressed face down into the ground. The silver armored warrior was also in the same condition, groaning, pressed on the ground from the intense pressure.
"Sir please let them go", Jack limped forward.
Both men gasped and coughed violently as the pressure disappeared.
"Why is that?", the level 50 warrior floated closer to Jack.
"Sir I thank you for the help", he bowed deeply with clenched fists, and he gritted his teeth. "This is the awakening ceremony and I don't like to waste people's time. Right now I want to activate my power armor and be able to handle all my problems". "Sir I want to fight my battles".
Golem warlord looks at Jack for a moment and he suddenly bursts out laughing, " boy I'm really starting to like you", he tossed a small bottle at Jack, who caught it clumsily and steered at it with a questioning expression.
"Take the medicine, handling a level 30 pressure will surely take a huge toll on your body and it may also have its benefits if you awaken".
Without hesitation Jack lifted the bottle to his mouth, a soft stream of liquid that melted with his tongue flowed into his body.
He exhaled sharply as all the burning pain in his body disappeared like it was never there.
"Come, let me help you awaken your armor so you can slowly face your problems by yourself". The warrior got on the podium and Jack, who was dazed at first quickly followed after him.
Moving closer to the Jason family table, the two warriors quickly moved to the side, their bodies shivered, gaze fixed on the ground as they created space for sir golem warlord who paid them no attention. Jack quickly stood opposite the table.
Sir golem warlord placed a hand on the orb which glowed in reply, "you know what to do".
Jack placed both hands on the orb , a cool and pure energy seeping into his body from the orb. Closing his eyes he could feel the energy moving around all the points in his body; his vien, tendons, bones were reinforced with the pure energy.
Jack's body suddenly shuddered as he felt another strange energy in his body. His eyes were shut, and his brows furrowed as tried locating this strange energy, then he saw it. This new energy was very strange as Jack couldn't even place its color but if the energy from the awakening orb was calm, this strange energy was untamed and raging like a storm.
Cold sweat formed on Jack's forehead as he tried to remain calm and control this strange energy, but to no avail, he could only watch with a pounding heart as this strange energy continued swirling violently around the cool energy from the orb.
The other awakening students began murmuring amongst themselves after around two minutes and nothing was happening
"Wait, why's it taking so long?".
"Who knows maybe he's a lost cause who's going to fail his awakening".
"Hmph, after causing such a huge commotion, he turns out to be a trashy human".
A cool but chilling aura radiated from sir golem warlord, and the entire hall was dead silent.
Sweat already drenched Jack completely, but the real problem was happening inside his body; the strange energy wasn't just swirling around the energy from the orb. it was consuming it. This could be seen as the orb energy was already smaller in size.
Suddenly, the strange energy suddenly froze as if grabbed by something and soon began thrashing around violently before disappearing into nothing.
The energy from the orb flows freely through his body network, and it suddenly felt like something was about to break free from his body with the aid of the energy. His eyes remained closed as he exhaled slowly.
His body floated a few meters in the air and the cold, creamy cloud energy flowed around him. His armor activated from his feet slowly covering upward until it covered his full body.
With low thud, there was a light metallic sound from his armor as his feet touched the ground.
Opening his eyes inside the armor, he raised his hands to his face, he clenched his fists tightly, which created a soft metallic sound, "I finally did it", he muttered. Before he could even savor the feeling of activating his own power armor, it slowly deactivated by itself.
Although the other awakened student's armor did the same thing, Jack panicked for a bit as it somehow felt strange to him.
Sir golem warlord laughed, walking towards him and gently clamping his hands on Jack's shoulder, "Don't worry once you break through to level 1, you can activate your armor again ".
Jack slowly nodded.
"Come, let's level this place. Everyone has been frozen in time since I got here".
Jack sensed a hint of pride coming from sir golem warlord's tone which surprised him a bit before he could think further. Golem warlord's hand dropped on his shoulder and they both blurred out of the hall.
The hall remained silent for about a minute...
"Wait what just happened?".
The awakening students erupted into a heated question without answers session.
"Silence!!".
