Jack sat with crossed legs in his room, eyes closed, sweat beading on his forehead, brows furrowed in concentration as he focused on absorbing the somewhat scarce energy scattered in the air. Several hours had passed since sir golem warlord brought him back home, and he had been focused on breaking through to level 1 since he returned.
It was currently nighttime, and he was already exhausted; his legs were completely numb from sitting still for several hours, but Jack wasn't discouraged. He could feel he was somehow close to breaking through and sealing the deal of becoming a completely awakened warrior. The thought of this made adrenaline surge through his veins as he pushed for the breakthrough with determination.
Time passed, and the sweat beading on his forehead slowly made its way down his chin. A soft and gentle wave of energy suddenly burst out from his body. He had successfully broken through to level 1, but the furrowing of his brow didn't disappear but deepened.
He could feel a strangely familiar energy violently coursing through him without restraint, hungrily consuming the energy he had acquired from his current breakthrough.
"It's that same energy from earlier", Jack tried not to panic as he thought to himself. This was the same violet energy he had felt during his awakening at the grand hall. He had wanted to tell someone about it, as the feeling he was getting from that energy wasn't peaceful or friendly, but he had forgotten about it following the series of events after his awakening.
Jack's heart began pounding wildly against his chest as all attempts to contain or control the strange energy failed. The chaotic energy suddenly came to an abrupt halt as if something had grabbed it, the energy began trashing and moving violently as if trying to escape from something only it could see but to no avail.
As if it had never been there, the energy suddenly disappeared as it did in the grand hall, leaving no traces of its presence.
Jack exhaled in relief but he was still surprise and he muttered in a somewhat shaky voice, "What is that?" He sat still for some time, trying to place what that energy was.
He stood up shaking his head lightly. "I can't deal with that strange energy on my own", Jack muttered as he stood before the window, "I have to find someone who knows about this energy, but before then I should share the news of my successfully break through to level 1 with my mum and that stubborn girl", jack grinned, his gaze peering into the night sky.
Coincidentally his gaze caught sight of a streak of light shooting down the sky with incredible speed.
The streak of light became closer and closer, What is that? Jack muttered to himself. He didn't know what the streak of light was but he could tell from the speed and trajectory of the approaching streak of light that it was going to crash somewhere in the forest.
Jack watched the streak of light crash somewhere in the distant forest without a single sound. He was dumb struck as it was expected that something traveling down with that insane speed should have caused quite the commotion, but all he could hear was the sound of crickets and cries from other creatures of the night.
His heart began pounding wildly against his chest as a crazy thought formed in his mind, "How about I go check out what that is?" As soon as the thought crossed his mind, he quickly dispelled it, knowing the awakened warriors should have seen that the streak of light would probably be on their way to check it out.
He sighed as he made his way out of the room to break the good news to his mother.
As his hand reached for the doorknob, a thought suddenly came to his mind, and he swiftly turned around, slid open the room's window, and jumped out. At the same time, the door to the room slid open, "Brother Jack", Emma called out as she peered into the room, but found no traces of Jack, and her gaze moved to the open window.
Jack bolted down the almost empty street towards the direction of the forest, his brows furrowed helplessly, knowing he was making a very strange and reckless move, but he couldn't help as he wanted to at least catch a glimpse of what that streak of light was but leave as soon as possible before anyone got there.
Knowing he was making a very risky and dangerous move, he decided that if he didn't find what he was looking for around the outskirts of the forest, then he would have to retreat. Going to the outskirts of the forest alone was already a very risky move , there's no way he would wander deeper into the forest unless he was courting death.
The rough road soon gave way to dirty ground covered with a wide expanse of grass and leaves. He was currently no longer within the covering range of the barrier, and if it suddenly got activated, he would be outside its protection, and he wouldn't be able to get in.
Jack couldn't help but tremble slightly as this thought crossed his mind. His steps surprisingly didn't falter, but he became cautious as he was officially in the forest. He quietly scanned his surroundings against any form of danger and also in search of traces and whatever that streak of light might be.
He tried moving in the direction he saw the streak of light descend in, the forest was eerily quieter than it should be, even the air felt stale, but Jack unfortunately didn't notice this. His heart pounded wildly against his chest as he quietly navigated his way through his forest.
He finally decided to make his way back as he had found nothing since entering the forest. He was also starting to somehow feel uncomfortable, but as he turned around the corner, his eyes caught sight of something he hadn't seen before, and his heart nearly skipped a beat as he turned to face it.
Before him was something that seemed to be a strange black metallic pod. His breath quickened as he stared at the strange, lifeless pod. There was not a single sign that this pod was the streak of light he saw earlier. There was no single visible heat wave to point at the insane travel speed, but all his newly awakened senses screamed danger.
He wanted to turn, run away from the pod but his limbs felt stiff and his body wasn't listening, instead, he took an unconscious step closer to the pod, immediately he made that move cold sweat drenched his entire frame, his already panicking heart began to beat wildly against his chest but his steps didn't falter, instead they quickened.
Before he could even process it, he was standing directly before the pod. Suddenly, the stiff feeling in his limbs loosened, and a low sigh escaped his lips, but his eyes widened as his hand involuntarily came in contact with the pod, which immediately emitted a clicking sound, and a huge wave of steam filled the air.
Jack immediately tried waving away the smoke, but his body shuddered as a sense of crisis suddenly washed over him, and he saw a blur shooting towards his face. Instinctively, Jack leapt backwards with all his might. Before his feet touched the ground, his power armor was already activated.
Adrenaline coursed through his veins, and his arms were raised in a defensive position. He couldn't see his face but he could feel the stinging pain on his cheek and also the warm liquid trickling down it. He barely dodged whatever shot towards his face, but can he do the same if there's a next attack?
The smoke slowly began to clear and Jack's heart nearly skipped as he caught sight of a pair of completely void black eyes locked on him.
