Azrael healed his broken nose with a highly potent medicine made from dungeon resources. By now, human medicine commonly relied on supernatural materials. Humans had adapted to it, too, and now required much stronger remedies.
He could eat without issue and was soon ready to continue his new routine.
When he entered the living room, Mary sat on his couch with his phone in her hands. She scrolled through a huge library of information that didn't require the internet.
We can watch anime later, actually.
Azrael sat across from her and studied her.
Mary shoved the phone into her spatial inventory and straightened up.
"Conditional Sphere," she said.
[Conditional Sphere(A): an active skill used to conjure a sphere around the user or within 10 meters of the user. The Sphere has high base durability, increased by 10% of the user's Intelligence Attribute. The Conditional Sphere has no gaps. The skill naturally adapts to the dominant law in the area around the user to control the law within the Sphere.]
"Yeah, the last part confused me at first. But I think I get it now." Azrael reread the description, slower this time.
"Oh?" Mary's lips curved into a soft smile. "It's good that you didn't use something you weren't sure of."
"Thanks. If I'm not mistaken, I could've used gravity to some extent inside the Conditional Sphere in the Death Seesaws Dungeon." He tapped the last line with his fingertip.
Mary's smile lingered. "Yes. The dominant law in the Death Seesaws Dungeon was gravity. It posed challenges at every seesaw and forced you to adapt. As you fought it at every step, your Conditional Sphere adjusted as well and let you wield that power yourself.
"You could have easily crippled that woman and brought her to your level!"
"That's motivating and discouraging at the same time! But Mary… I could already handicap her with a kiss. Do you think I have a talent?"
"I have absolutely no interest in your kissing talent, though it would surely be beneficial for you and your future women. At least you'd be good in bed."
"You say it as though I have no promising future!" Azrael said with a smug grin.
Mary puffed her cheeks in retaliation.
They both chuckled, then kept talking.
"This Conditional Sphere has a lot of potential, and plenty of weaknesses, too. That makes it versatile. It's a good gift for your future dungeon endeavors. I came up with an idea to use this skill to train your stamina and strength under high gravity."
"It's like that chamber!"
"That chamber?"
"I'll show you that anime later."
"Mm. It means we have to go back to the dungeon in a few hours. For now, we can take it easy and rest, and then you can train outside in low oxygen!"
"Not that!"
"That. That!"
—
It had been roughly 12 hours since Azrael conquered his first dungeon. He put on his military uniform and gloves, then opened the door to the dungeon.
"You don't look enthusiastic," Mary noted.
"She must be gone…" Azrael muttered.
"Forget it," Mary said dryly.
But when he landed face-first in the dungeon, he was shocked to see the alien woman was still there. She sat with her legs together, hands on her thighs, back straight, like a loyal servant waiting for her master.
Azrael couldn't believe his luck.
"She loves me!"
"She doesn't!"
The alien woman bit her lip. She'd been sitting with her back straight for hours, waiting for Azrael. Somewhere in the back of her mind was an inkling he was someone amazing or important, someone she couldn't afford to offend anymore. Once again, she told herself that no normal man could simply deactivate a dungeon.
Yet the kiss flashed in her mind, and she couldn't help but clench her hands.
"□ △ ○…"
Azrael gasped. "Did she call me handsome?"
"No. I'm sure she didn't," Mary said firmly.
"But I've heard women see strong men differently, and hey, I outplayed her so badly…"
Even though Azrael could tell she didn't want to fight and was looking at him differently now, the language barrier was still a huge issue. None of it meant anything to him. It was like a mix of hisses and screeches.
An exotic beauty would surely turn him on, but… he needed to know what she was saying.
"Any idea?" he asked his guardian.
Mary gave a small nod. "First, she disarmed herself. Your turn. Take off your gloves and show her you have no hostile intent anymore."
Azrael pulled off his gloves and tucked them away. He could still summon his Conditional Sphere whenever he wanted, so it wasn't like he'd lost all his power or become completely defenseless.
When she saw him like that, the alien woman gave a curt nod.
Hey, it's kinda hot… like I'm taming a wild beast. Strong women are kind of beasts themselves. But maybe she's a beast for real, like a demi-human! Spicy.
To show he meant it, Azrael sat down in the same position and looked deeply into her eyes. It was quite a challenge for a horny man like him, since his gaze kept drifting down to the woman's big chest. He swore to take them all, and now there was a pair he didn't want to give up on.
The alien woman's cheeks reddened slightly, from both shame and fury.
"What now, Mary?"
"I can tell she's mad. So, think for yourself."
"You don't know what to do next."
"I am your guardian, not your guide or parent."
"But you act like a mom sometimes."
"Idiot."
Azrael pondered. There had to be a reason she was still here.
Then it hit him. Maybe she didn't know how to leave?
[Would you like to open an exit door?]
I mean… sadly, I have to?
[An exit prompt has been issued to the unknown dungeon conqueror.]
The alien woman read the message and shook her head.
"She doesn't want to leave! You sure she doesn't like me?"
"I'm sure!"
"But this is a way I can communicate with her! We both understand the dungeon messages! I mean, the dungeon speaks in our native languages. This is it!"
This time, Mary only nodded, impressed by Azrael's quick thinking.
