Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Reincarnation

Going back to their quarters, they didn't say much, just walking silently till they reached their destination.

Upon a closer look at Old Zhou, Yuhao could observe the signs of worry in his expression, even though he tried his best to hide them.

Yuhao understood the reason for this worry as well as the reason why the old man was trying not to express it.

he simply wished to keep the burden to himself and not distress the child. So he forced himself to pretend like everything was okay.

The thought that someone cared for him to this extent filled his heart with warmth.

He wanted to tell the Old man not to worry. That everything was going to be okay, He already had some plans. But for the time being, he could only keep those thoughts to himself.

Upon reaching the gate, Old Zhou handed the martial soul certificate to Yuhao, telling him to keep it safe. Then, he put his hand on Yuhao's shoulder and said calmly.

"Yuhao, you did great today. From now on, practice diligently. Effort matters as much as talent."

He then began to share a few things he knew about cultivation.

Yuhao stood there, quietly listening without interrupting.

After some time, the old man finished speaking. Before leaving, he said, "Yuhao, tell your mother that if she needs anything, she can come to me."

"Also, if you run into any problem, you can come find me anytime."

Yuhao gave a serious nod and replied, "I understand, Grandpa. I'll keep everything in mind and do my best." He smiled, showing that there was nothing to worry about.

With that, the old man turned away and left.

Yuhao also went inside, drank some water to quench his thirst, and lay down on the bed. His mother was not at home, still working at the mansion.

Now that he had some alone time, he could start thinking about the variable that occurred during the awakening. The unexpected, sudden rise in his soul power.

Although his martial soul did not change, his innate soul power did, and that too with an increase of four full levels.

The result he expected was level one soul power, but contrary to his expectation, the soul power he awakened was at five.

Although it's a good thing from the talent perspective, it took away something equally precious, His sense of certainty about the future.

If other people could hear Yuhao's thoughts, they might get so angry that they'd start beating him on the spot.

"We want more soul power, but can't have it. You have got it, but don't appreciate it."

He might be the only person in history who wished for his soul power to be lower. And he had a solid reason for it.

It is also the reason he had never been worried about anything; From the beginning, he had known what was going to happen.

Yuhao was already aware of the result of his awakening; he knew that he was going to awaken the spirit eye martial soul and that his innate soul power was going to be one.

Why, because he had already seen all of this in a vision. A vision he saw when he was reborn into the world.

This included another of his big secrets: he was a reincarnator.

Before his death, in his past life, He was a space adventurer. His world was much more technologically advanced than Douluo, albeit without soul power.

He was part of a group that did regular space voyages. During one of the expeditions, their spaceship got stuck in a spacetime turbulation. The crew tried everything to divert the ship, but it was clearly too late. They now faced certain death in a few hours.

It was so inevitable that an eerie calm took hold of the ship. One by one, the crewmates came together, raised a final toast, and prepared for the end. Eventually, it arrived; their ship broke down, and the darkness of empty space swallowed everyone.

But it did not remain that way for long; at least to him, it didn't feel like much time passed.

He regained consciousness, though still engulfed in darkness.

He didn't know how much longer he had to wait, but one day he felt that he could finally open his eyes. He tried, and light flooded into his sight.

He was still alive, just not in his own body. He had become a newborn baby. He had been reborn. But before he could think more, a sudden flood of memories exploded within his mind.

The memories manifested as vivid visions, showing someone else's life.

Someone named Huo Yuhao. and it was a vision encompassing his whole life.

After waking from the dream, he didn't understand its significance until he realized that he had become Huo Yuhao.

The vision was about him. It was his own future.

It showed him what would eventually happen to him.

The vision revealed everything.

His mother's death.

His meeting with Tian Meng.

Joining the Tang Sect and Shrek.

Soul master Competition.

Wang Dong'er.

Soul Spirit System.

Sun Moon Empire.

War.

Becoming a level 10 Soul Engineer.

Defeating Di Tian and

finally becoming a god, along with Wutong, and entering the god realm.

Spending two decades there until the calamity struck and swept away the God Realm.

That is where the vision ended.

This vision showed him his future, his journey of becoming a god.

This caused him profound realization, but for the time being, as a baby, he couldn't do anything and could only go through the flow.

Time passed, and he grew up. Eventually, the day of Martial Soul awakening arrived.

He already knew what the future entailed, and there really was no reason to doubt, since there wasn't any divergence between his vision and reality till now.

He had always considered this knowledge his greatest reliance, but now, after the awakening, it seems it was far less reliable than he had believed.

Of course, some anxiety crept in. He put his hands on his head.

Just imagine the thought, you have already seen the future of yourself becoming a god, and that you are destined for this. but suddenly, one day, the future you saw started diverging in a different direction. How will you feel?

Although he was not totally satisfied with the process in the vision, he even wanted to change quite a few things in it.

It was still a guaranteed path to success. there was no reason not to traverse it. He would have just had to make some modification but there was no reason not to walk this path of ultimate success.

'So what now?', he lamented, 'Should I still trust that vision?'

'Has the world also changed?' he thought of the possibility.

'No,' but immediately denied it. Only one variable has appeared, and he himself might have caused it.

He still hoped that the world was still the same.

He started to think about the reason, 'could it have happened due to his reincarnation? '

'Could the merger of his soul with this body have caused this?'

'Could it be due to the training and meditation I have been doing since childhood? '

He had many guesses but no idea which one of them might be correct.

he muttered to himself, "Does meditating and training since childhood really increase the innate soul power?"

"No, it can't."

An unknown voice answered from within his mind.
