The different powers of the sea come from five main sources:
Swords, Fighting Styles/Martial Arts, Devil Fruits, Guns and Aura. So I'mma just say something brief about each.
*SWORDS*
The most powerful Swords are divided into types:
~supreme grade blade
~great grade blade
~cursed great blade
Supreme grade blades are only 20 in the whole of the world. They are said to have extraordinary powers which can only be wielded by those worthy enough and with impossibly strong willpower to withstand the powers without burning their life force.
Most great grade blades are formed when a user turns a sword to a black blade(will explain later) and so much ki and aura is absorbed that it is now infused naturally with aura thus making it unnecessary to coat the blade with hardening aura. Some are formed when the bladesmith's soul merges with the sword along with the battle intent of the user making its power off the charts.
Cursed great blades are created when the bladesmith devours his soul with the blade created. The fusion of the bladesmith's blood and the battle intent+ hardening aura makes the blade cursed and bloodthirsty.
*FIGHTING STYLES*
These are special martial arts skills that are often used in the world, can also be used with aura. The main martial arts in this world are:
1.Combat- This is just the basic low damage punches that any normal person can pull. It has no awakening.
2. Dark Step- This is the fighting style where the user uses their legs to fight their enemies. It has an awakening called Death Step.
3. Electric- This fighting style allows the user to fight with electricity around their hands. Its awakening is called Electric Claw.
4. Water Kung Fu- This fighting style allows the user to channel aquatic energy to fight with kung fu skills. Its awakening is the Sharkman Karate martial art.
5. Dragon Breath- This allows the user to channel white-hot fire into their attacks. Its awakening is called Dragon Talon.
6. Superhuman- This allows the user to channel (as the name states) superhuman energy into the attacks made. Its awakening is called Godhuman.
7. Sanguine Arts- This fighting style makes the user channel demonic and bloodlust full energy to their attacks making them demon martial artists. It has no awakening considering how broken it is.
*GUNS*
(There isn't much to say about guns since they are generally weak unless one can shoot with deadly accuracy and can infuse the blasters with aura. Speaking of aura…
*AURA*
There are three core types of aura:
- HARDENING AURA: This allows its user coat their body or weapon in invisible armor or hardening ki. It normally comes as a black coating, unless the user learns aura colors. Hardening comes in four forms;
•Basic hardening aura
•Flow hardening aura/ ryou
•Internal destruction hardening
•Advanced hardening aura
Basic hardening is the form where the body or weapon is covered in black coating. It enhances the damage counter on an ability.
[NB: a blade coated permanently in hardening is known as a black blade]
Ryou hardening allows its user to damage the enemy without touching them. It is called flow hardening because the aura flows through the user's attack to the enemy without physical contact.
Internal destruction aura can make the user attack the enemy with hardening from the inside, breaking their will and emotions.
Advanced hardening aura allows the user to coat the body or weapon in dark coating along with a special given aura colour increasing damage enhancement by 50. It also combines the ability of all forms of hardening.
-INSTINCTIVE AURA: This aura allows the user to predict attack movements, and sense the presence of others. It comes in two forms; •Basic instinctive aura
•Advanced instinctive aura
Basic instinct allows the user to predict a split second into the future to detect the direction and style of enemy's attack.
Advanced instinct make the user predict into a farther time in the future(3-4 seconds), sense the presence of other people and discover the build of a person.
-WARRIOR'S AURA: This type of aura allows the user to send waves of sheer terror toward the enemy, knocking weak-willed opponents unconscious.It comes in two forms;
•Basic warrior's aura
•Advanced warrior's aura
Basic warrior aura allows user send wave of terror to enemy. Those with weak wills faint, very weak willed die, and strong willed warriors see it in heatwave form.
Advanced warrior's aura is seen in the form of black lightning flares which knock down enemies and can also be flowed into attacks and weapons. It is 100 times stronger than original aura.
*DEVIL FRUITS*
They are special fruits that give a user special abilities and powers. Even though they are fun to use, a person can only consume one devil fruit their whole life. If one eats more than one fruit, they explode and die. Also, eating a devil fruit takes away one's ability to swim in the sea.
(NB: No one can no the name and abilities of their devil fruit until they consume it)
Devil Fruits are divided into three categories;
•Logia- type
•Zoan- type
•Paramecia- type
Logia fruits are devil fruits that make the user undamagable to weaker opponents unless hardening is used. An example in this case is the Light-Light Fruit.
Zoan fruits allow the user to transform into beasts and gain animal based abilities. They normally come in different models. For example the Bird-Bird fruit with models like Parrot, Falcon, etc.
Paramecia fruits are fruits that do not give any special effects apart from the devil fruit power gained, like the Paper-Paper fruit.
