"The flying race has started!" Kalego yelled. "Spread your wings!"
The class did so as they sprouted their own bat wings, though Pandora's were a little off.
"W-Wait!" Iruma yelled before Kalego yelled-
"ON YOUR MARKS-"
"GET SET-"
"GO!!!"
*woosh-woosh-woosh*
Everyone flew off except Iruma as he slowly turned to Kalego, who promptly-
"Off you go."
"Wha-?" Kicked him off the edge. "AAAAAAAA-!"
"Alright." He walked to a tv screen with a live view of the students. "Now then."
"The race that finalizes the freshman ranks..." He switched to Pandora, who was being chased by Sabnock... it was Cutthroat valley's entrance.
-with Pandora-
"Why are you following me!?" Sabnock yelled at her... despite being behind her.
"I am not." She declined. "I have not done the summoning so I will use this path for a better rank."
"Ha!" He laughed. "Guess I'll get a better rank than you."
"So?"
"So You can't be my rival!"
"Is that so." Pandora decided to ignore him.
"Are you even listening to your future ruler!?" He complained and Pandora gave no response to his arrogance.
"I'll just beat you to the end then!" He yelled before bolting off.
-with Kalego-
"DANGER! DANGER!" A ball like demon was yelling at him. "INTRUDER IN CUTTHROAT VALLEY!"
"Shut up." He clapsed a craw around the demon as the screen switched to Sabnock. "So Sabnock went there after all..."
"There's one like that every year!" He face palmed before sitting back on his beanbag, clipboard in hand.
"Well... If we're lucky we'll be able to retrieve an arm or leg..." He crossed off Sabnock's name. "In any case, it'd be a help to have one less idiot to teach."
"Speaking of..." He thought back to Iruma, who fell to the bottom of the valley. "Where did that idiot go?"
-back with Pandora-
"He is no longer watching..." She noticed as her right eye glowed with a symbol. "Sabnock was a good distraction."
The glyph in her eye switched to that of a circular one with a hexagon at the center.
"I have not done this before." Her body started glitching a little. "So no better time to test while there is no eyes."
*ZzT*
Her body vanished into glitchy aftereffects as she teleported for the first time.
Her target being close to the end of the Cutthroat valley path... however-
"CAAAW!"
What she saw in front of her was a giant as fuck bird... and a panicking Iruma.
"I'm going to get eaten!" He cried before the bird suddenly fell. "???"
Pandora took the chance while he was distracted to sneak up behind him.
"Hello Iruma." She spoke, startling him a little.
"Did you-?" He pointed to the bird, to which she shook her head.
"I did not." She answered, confusing him.
And to sate such curiosity, he took a closer look at the giant bird.
"That's-!" He noticed it had a bad injury on one of its talons.
Driven by compassion, or empathy, Pandora didn't know, Iruma approached the beast.
"KAAW!" The bird obviously felt threatened.
"Ah-ah, sorry." He took a step back and grabbed a sharp rock with a resolute expression.
And much to the confusion of Pandora and bird, cut himself.
"!?" The bird cooled its threatening posture and Pandora tilted her head as Iruma wrapped a cloth around the wound.
"Like this-" He presented the hand he cut. "But for you. I just want to wrap the wound for you."
The two looked each other in the eyes, and as if there was some magic going on, the big bird extended the talon to him.
"Thanks!" Iruma smiled. "Give me a sec-"
"I'll just-" A drop of blood dripped into the wound, and much to the amazement of both of them, it healed rapidly.
"!?" Iruma's eyes widened. "It healed!?"
"EEH HOW!?" He looked back and forth, and the bird did as well.
"Likely because of your blood." Pandora spoke calmly as he took the injured hand. "You are human."
She transfigured the bloodied bandage into flesh and used it to heal the cut. "why did you cut yourself so deep?"
"Hehe, sorry-!"
"CAAAW!" The bird interrupted them and lowered itself a little and nuzzling him, pushing him to its back.
"It seems quite fond of you." She took a step back. "I will wait at the end."
"Ok!" Iruma smiled. "See you then!" He waved as the bird flew off.
"He is gone." She said to herself. "I will try again."
And so she vanished once more into glitchy particles, reappearing before an EVEN BIGGER demon.
"What is with my luck..." She mumbled to herself.
"HEY!" A voice boomed from behind her. "THIS IS MY FIGHT!"
It was Sabnock, gravely injured and bloodied.
"Then I will get out of your hair." She turned to leave before turning to Sabnock. 'And I'm not talking about your down there hair."
Both the demon and Sabnock stared at her retreating figure in confusion, both for different reasons.
The brid because she did not smell like food, and Sabnock stared because he is an idiot.
After turning the corner, Pandora heard Sabnock yelling something, but she didn't care to listen except for the boom that happened directly after.
"Third times the charm." She said to herself as she prepared one last teleport, this time with a clear image of the end.
*Zzt*
What greeted her was Kalego sitting on a beanbag before a screen the size of his body.
She quietly approached and watched what he was watching, the other students.
She watched as he used a remote to flip through the students as if he were watching tv.
*click*
The screen switched to Pandora... right behind Kalego, leaning over him menacingly.
Kalego instantly paled and jumped away, using the clipboard as a shield.
"BY THE DEMON LORD!" He yelled, eyes filled with a fear. He was clearly traumatized by their first encounter.
"Why can't there just be a normal student." He mumbled to himself before sighing. "When did you get here?"
"Better yet, how?" He looked her in the eyes, noticing a strange glyph in her eye.
"I will not tell." She tried to smile like Iruma, seeing how his smile could tame mythical beasts... but to Kalego it just looked threatening... very threatening.
