Iruma and friends are looking at a map as they wander a cavern?
"The misfits classroom should be up ahead..." He mumbled to himself.
"For me, even being at the bottom of the ocean would be fine with me as long as I'm with you!" Asmodeus declared while Clara sung, still her silly self.
"Good to know-ah." They reached the door.
It looked like it was part of an ancient ruin, but that was their class,
seeing as there was a 1-skull sign above the door.
"It's a dump!" Clara observed.
"Yes... I do not know how to feel about this." Pandora had a blank look.
"I wonder if it's still in use..." Asmodeus pondered as Iruma went to open the door.
"There seem to be people inside." He looked through the crack of the door, Pandora looking over head.
"We should go in..." Clara put her hands in front of her-
"CHARGE!" And shoved the pair.
*shing-*
And knives proceeded to fall from above the door, kind of like that one bucket of water prank.
"!!!" Iruma dodged from the initial trap, but-
*clang-thud-thunk-bang-*
More swords, knives, and clubs flew at him as he continued dodging.
"Oof-" And he finished off his dodging spree by flopping on his face.
"WHOOO!!" The class cheered and clapped at his performance.
"Nicely done!"
"Lovely."
"That's the honor student for you!"
Students congratulated him, while another started handing out bet winnings.
"Ok, I'll be handing out the winnings now!" He called out as Asmodeus finally entered.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU LOT JUST DO!?" He questioned and pointed to the (yellow) bloodied body of Pandora. "People could have been seriously harmed!"
"It was just a prank~" One student waved him off.
"And she looks fine." He pointed to Pandora as she got up, taking out the blades. "Plus, she's not the only one who didn't didn't dodge any."
"Y-You wouldn't get off with just a minor injury from that!" Iruma protested.
"RIDICULOUS!" A boisterous voice cut him off. "I WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING AS COWERDLY AS DODGING."
"BECAUSE I-" He pointed to himself, still with swords and arrows still in his body. "Sabnok Sabro, AM A BIG MAN, FIT TO BE THE DEMON KING!"
Iruma was shocked at his appearance, while Asmodeus and Clara just stared in confusion.
"Heed my words! It will be I who will reach yodh and become the demon king!" You too shall kneel before me one day!"
"And maybe the young miss could be a strong subordinate with her courage to take all the-"
"What does 'yodh' mean?" Iruma interrupted his monologue and the class just stared at him like he was stupid.
"YODH IS THE HIGHEST DEMON RANK! THE DEMON KING WHO WILL RULE OVER THIS WORLD CAN ONLY BE CHOSEN AMONG THE DEMONS WHO REACH YODH!" Sabnock explained like talking to a child. "The demon king. The undisputed ruler of all demons, who reigns over the Netherworld."
"However that seat has remained empty for hundreds of years." He grabbed a sword that was in his chest. "I am the one who will become demon king!"
"That is why I need to raise my rank, and thus-" He shattered the sword with his bare hand. "Andy fiend who's rank is higher than mine, is an enemy."
Iruma just stared in shock at the Sabnock's feat and another demon floated over.
"That's why you picked a fight with a teacher and ended up in this class." They laughed.
"I thought it'd be fastest to just defeat those with a higher rank." Sabnock man nodded before looking Iruma in the eyes.
"However! What is with you!?" He poked at Iruma's face. "For all the wild rumors going around, you don't even know the basic stuff about the demon king!"
"Can you even call yourself a demon?" He gave a look of disdain before Asmodeus and Pandora intercepted the glare.
"That is enough of you, Sabnock." Asmodeus glared and Sabnock grinned.
"There you are, Asmodeus!" He pointed at him. "Freshman representative! I heard you summoned a gorgon snake as your familiar!"
"yes."
"Well I summoned a kelpie! Since it has more legs, it's even more impressive!" Pandora stared at him like he was an idiot.
"What kind of logic is that?" She questioned.
"Heh, what's your familiar then little lady!?" He ignored the question.
"I am the summon." She answered. "And if more legs is better, then wouldn't that make you better than me with your third leg down there, or is it too small to do anything?"
"... HAHAHAHAHA!" The class laughed while Sabnock grew red with rage, before calming down after remembering something.
"Heh, I guess I can forgive you both, seeing as your both the honor students servants and can't qualify as my rivals!" He proclaimed as he waved off the two, looking away.
"As if I needed that title!" Asmodues was mad this time. "Also, I AM NOT HIS SERVANT!"
"I AM-" He stuck a pose? "IRMUA-SAMA'S FRIEND!"
"Hm?" Sabnock looked at him in confusion. "F-frie-"
"Let me enlighten you!" Asmodeus smiled. "A friend is someone with whom you spend our time, share our joys and sorrows, and-"
"TO WHOM I AM BOUND TO BY A BLOOD PACT TO GIVE MY LIFE!" Asmodeus proclaimed, seemingly convincing Sabnock... and embarrassing Iruma.
*SLAM!*
"YOU'RE TOO LOUD YOU FOOLS!" Kalego shouted as he burst through the door.
They can hear you from the outside!" He complained. "Can't you just sit quietly!?"
"Eggie-sensei is our homeroom teacher!?" Clara ran circles around him.
"Yeah, thanks to you." He sighed. "I was worngfully arrested on the day of the meeting."
He glared at Iruma and he looked away. "And in my absence, I was assigned as your homeroom teacher."
Iruma quickly looked away and Kalego turned to the rest of the class.
"Get outside right now, idiots!" He called. "Class is starting."
-Behind the school: Peak-
Kalego stood in front of a board with a map.
"This, along with your familiar summoning exam, will determine your ranks." Kalego began explaining todays work. "Your goal is to reach the fag on the other side of the valley as fast as possible."
"You have to avoid colliding with sky columns, as well as the bird monsters who protect their nests there."
"Familiar sensei!" A student raised their hand, but didn't wait to be called on. "Will we be allowed to kill the birds?"
"Do what you want. You'll get deductions for killing too many though." He stated before giving his signature death glare. "And call me that again and I'll kill you."
"One more thing," Kallego continued. "Warbling valley is the only path open this year."
"WHA-!" Sabnock didn't like that. "Cutthroat Valley is an option too, AIN'T IT!?"
"Usually."
"But for some reason, the guardian of the valley seems to be on edge recently." Kalego explained. "So it's off limits for now."
"THAT. WON'T. STAND!!!" Sabnock was enraged now. "I'm going through Cutthroat Valley! Nothing else would suffice!"
"Like I care. The course will remain the same." He glared at the class. "Prepare yourselves!"
"What about Eggy sensei?" Clara waddled up to ask.
"I will be waiting at the finish line." He said as he sprouted his wings, along with the rest of the class.
"Looks like you're ready." Kalego looked to the trouble trio. "Then as of now-"
"The flying race has begun."
