December was fast approaching as well as Zuri's introduction. The families of the two parties have been hectic and anticipating to meet each other in person although they have been speaking and chatting on the phone. According to the ikupaye's budget and plans, especially Mrs Ikupaye,she always wished for a quiet and simple wedding for her daughter's butthe Greens family, Andrew's mother persuaded her to approved of them of an elaborated celebration of their children
"We are mother's,and I'm pretty sure our children would want each celebration to be elaborated or do you want us to seek for their opinions" Andrew's mother said to Mrs Ikupaye on a voice call
"Anything for you our soon to be in law"Mrs Ikupaye replied joyfully as they exchanged pleasantries once again and ended the phone conversation.
Later that evening,Zuri began informing her friends about her forthcoming introduction but she also made them aware that there presence ain't mandated as the official wedding would follow immediately within just couple of months. The aspiring couples ensure they chose the date that would be convenient enough so Zenon,ikupaye's only son could be present to witnessed his elder sister introduction happening at their family main resident resident at Uzaire.
"Because I'm gonna be at the party and I'm gonna rain some cash,so big sis just send me money for the shoe I forwarded to you last night"Zenon ridiculously pleaded for some penny from Zuri
"(Zuri laughed and exclaimed) Dimeji,you are so silly and shameless,still asking me for money at this your age?"Zuri teased too
"Ohh moti(motilola-ire in full, actually that's Zuri's Yoruba name) stop that,who else am I supposed to ask after all I don't have any source of income yet" Zenon pulled the stunt too
"Let me employ you,you will be my P.A henceforth till after the wedding"Zuri playfully asked Zenon
"You said what?,I will be your what?"Zenon being playfully ridiculous questioned her sister pretending he didn't heard what she had uttered initially
"Dimeji you will be my Personal assistant till after my big day"Zuri repeated the offer
Zenon being silly,rejected the offer even before her sister could finished her statement. Meanwhile,her sister fiancee Andrew who had laid beside his fiancee clearly listening to the ongoing conversation between Zuri and Zenon got curious about the fact that they were bearing Yoruba name when their both parents weren't Yoruba at all,At that moment Zuri had to clear the air making him understood that their maternal grandmother was Yoruba but she got married to an Edo man which indigenously made her mother a dual lingual speaker cause her mother could understand and converse fluently in both Yoruba and Edo, although she's from the Esan tribe in Edo state.
Perspicaciously, their maternal grandmother named them in Yoruba
"I'm motilola-ire which means(I have found wealth and success and.....Andrew cuts in
"Yeah,of course you are indeed my wealth and success "Andrew romantically teased
"Stop being silly baby"she continued
"Zoe is Atilayoola,Zenon is Ayodimeji while the last baby is Eyiyemi"Zuri enlightened him
She went further clarifying him factually that she was the only child of her parents that could understand the language Yoruba by the way but she weren't unable to speak it actually speak,not even at all.
They closed the chapter grinning and staring while andrew was being kinda flirty towards her. In no time,one of the household knocked on their room door in order to informed them to come have their lunch alone as Andrew's parent had stepped out to paid some of their families a visit considering their sons decision on settling down and starting his personal families and also Zuri would be returning to her parents house the following morning after about three weeks of staying back with them,that evening Andrew was seen sulking as if he was being heartbroken or something,he just sat down alone watching his fiancee packed her box,at some point he clinged unto her insisting on spending the rest of the hours privately with just her
"Whoa babe!the introduction is just around the corner,you would still get to see me a trillion more"Zuri assured Andrew
"No!(He grumbled),I want you to stay back till probably a day to our introduction" Andrew sounds jokingly selfish
"(Zuri nodded in impossibility) Impossible Babe,but you know what,come here let me Pat you on the back so you wouldn't miss me that much"Zuri said
"Do not bribe me" Andrew jokingly warned his fiancee but eventually drew nearer to Zuri to pat him on the back as Zuri had promised,on the bed they fell asleep with their door locked,that was how the lovebirds missed dinner when it was served so Zuri ended up preparing something light for herself and Andrew to snacked with overnight the night.
The next morning,Zuri stepped out with Andrew's family as they headed towards their car park with Andrew clinging firmly to Zuri's box giving a childish facial expression
"Ohh lovebirds,you would still get to see her don't be so keen"Andrew's mother said to him
Looking at him,Zuri blushed ,hugged the family for a goodbye as their set to go and dropped her at home as instructed by his boss which were the Green's.
Zuri embarked on the journey back to her family in a private transport at her extreme convenience she was even escorted with a personal security guard. Within a couple of hours,they alighted at Zuri's destination. As usual,Zoe would always be the first to dashed out on sensing her sister's arrival everytime,accompanied by Zelda who had just got back from school for the Christmas and New year holiday. They hugged their sister and doesn't seemed letting go for minutes then their mother embraced her with the word proud written on her entire face. Anyways,the driver and the security guard were set to embarked on the trip back to Delta when Zuri's mother stopped them as she insisted on either feeding them or rather gifting them
"You both can't just leave like that empty handed,I ought to get you both something"Zuri's mother said entering Helter skelter in search of what to gifts them
"Mommy don't worry ma, time is not on our side at all"The driver and the security guard chorused after they had waited for some minutes
"Then you should sleepover" Zuri's mother said from inside although she had already packed some snacks equally including juice for each of them and bade them journey mercies
"Drive carefully my brother" she said to the driver
"Kie rora lona o(in Yoruba, meaning be careful on the way)" she said to the security guard as he was a Yoruba man.
The woman hurried inside and quickly summoned her daughter for a private conversation In her room concerning the forthcoming big celebration which would come up perhaps few months after the normal introduction, Already she has even got their event planners and some other vendors required for the wedding necessities
"But mummy it is your wedding,who else is supposed to anchor every singly thing if not you"Zuri queried her mother
"Yeah, I know but I don't wanna be the a mother that's always making decisions for her daughter. You ought to be involved too including Andrew" Her mother clarified
"(Exclaimed)Mummy,I have heard you" Zuri responded heaving a heavy sighed which signified tiredness.
As she exited her mom's room heading to her personal room,Zelda ran into her arms again blushing like the baby of the house she had ever been. She escorted her sister to the room and as soon as Zoe sighted her she harshly commanded her to exit the room immediately without looking back but the stubbornness implanted in her disobeyed literally because Zuri was there and she disapproved of anyone not even their parents raising either their voice or attempting to punish her, though she eventually left that was after Zuri bribed her with some money.
