Several months later,the power couples, Zuri and Andres tied the knot nuptially in a luxurious and Extravagant celebrations. The families from both sides hosted one another in elation,the families especially the Green's lavished substantially,their entire families were present both home and abroad to witnessed the fortune celebration of their beloved son and daughter. However, Before the holiday Zenon took the permission from his parents to invited his only friends Salim over particularly for his elder sister nuptial and also for the holiday in which his parents delightfully granted without hesitation and when they were returning The ikupaye's equally got them their foodstuffs, packed in different boxes also with some cash for transports despite that Salim's parent had sent him and Zenon their transport back to school. These to boys resumed school exuberantly, perhaps their friendship bond grew firm and strong. A fateful afternoon,the students board announced the released of their last semester examination results being pasted on their respective departments notice board, The entire student ran overwhelming to their department to checked what the grades they have been recorded as well as their CGPA except Zenon who felt ultimately reluctant and rather asked Salim to helped him checked the results
"Sitting down here sulking will not enhance whatever grade you have been recorded"
"Guy I know what I wrote" Zenon responded and hissed in frustration
"Eww! But you don't know what you have been recorded" Salim said hoping he could persuaded him
"Just help me and check what I have gotten as CGPA and check the carry-overs too" Zenon instructed Salim
Just after he had said that,their phone buzzed with messages. Alas! It was the results that have been posted on their general departmental group by their course rep. Salim on the other hand who had been anticipating to checked his results, purposely searched for Zenon's own via his Matriculation number,he shook his head in disappointments and frowned though it was a prank, he scrolled down to checked on his own and as soon as he saw it he bursted into some crocodile tears
Zenon spranged up abruptly with his body shivering and his facial expression obviously drenched in fears,he turned around countlessly hoping to hear Salim's remark,he even dragged his feet,chirped like a bird
"Salim!(He called his name) Do not frighten me,just tell me what had happened please" Zenon asked with a lost hope and an empty heart filled with fake confidence
"Salim could you please talk,your silence is killing me right now dude" He asked stuttering
His voice was already shaking at that moment,he held unto Salim's palm firmly,on the verge of shedding tears. Salim just bursted out with a loud and clumsy voice
"Guy,you wrote a f**king 4 and still on point"
Zenon got confused,he hissed and furiously patted Salim on his back and also threatened to hit me painfully if he attempted to pulled that stunt again. Unbelievably,One of their other hostel mate named Mbamara who was also their course mate and Zenon's football team mate as well whose room was downstairs walked towards them and interrupted their ongoing drama
"Zenon, Salim Congratulations guys. I'm so happy for you" he said with a smiling face and a handshake as well
"You have checked our results?"Zenon asked innocently
"Of course, you did exuberantly perhaps way beyond my expectations and I must commend you for an absolute job well done,You made us proud as my football team member" he said cheering again
'" Get your annoying self out of here Mbam...." He had to stopped because he couldn't pronounced the Igbo name Mbamara. So Mbamara immediately corrected him and helped him out with the pronunciation as well
"It is Mbamara don't spoil my everly handsome for me, by the way you can call me Bammy, I think I prefer that to the incantation you were about to recite all in the name of attempting to call my name" Mbamara said
After several Ted talks and persuasions, Zenon gave in to checked his grade and surprisingly to him he actually wrote a 4.21 as his CGPA while Salim emerged with 3.79 and Bammy with 3.23 yet he wasn't pleased enough ,he had to opened up to his friends about his young aspiring dreams of becoming a footballer,
"I never wanted to study this course at all" he added
"But you emerged with a pleasing CGPA" Bammy inquired
"That's not the point Bammy, this is just my first year,whether we take it or not we still have a solid four years ahead of us,how sure am I that I would cope. I'm pathetically terrible at any calculations you know that" Zenon clarified
"Well, if you should ask me I would candidly advise you that it is not too late to switch courses to probably human kinetics you know" Bammy gave his opinions
"You know that's very stupid to say right? How could you say he should switch course instead of encouraging him and indulging your own effort on how we could be of help in anyways" Salim replied Mbamara as he got pissed off and irritated by the words Mbamara has just spilled
"Helping out you say? Well if you seek for my opinion...." He got hanged up by Zenon himself
"Just shut up no one is seeking for your pathetic infuriating opinions,just go get your ass busy right now" Zenon said as he cuts in and interrupted Bammy
However, Bammy had to walked out on them remorselessly,as he had got a bit humiliated by Zenon and his friends
And Zenon on the other hand, offered to go on a stroll to the school faculty before he shared the news with his families.
