"Hey Minami-oniisan, just call me Luna no need to be so distant! Hmph Hmph!" She said, huffing and puffing.
She really does act like Teio...
I crouch a bit and reach out my hand to pat her head.
"Alright, alright. Don't be so mad Luna."
"H-hey don't treat me as a kid you jerk..." Luna said, her hair down, expression unreadable.
Seeing her expression, i could'nt help but laugh.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, Luna is really cute. Alright, let me treat you, let's go see your Auntie Wakari!"
"Mou~. I told you not to treat me like a kid!" She said, pouting cutely.
"HAHAHA. Tell that to me in the future when your all grown up!"
"Hey you jerk stop teasing me." She huffed.
She then decided to kick my shin.
"Ouch! You brat..."
"Bleegh, you can't catch me!"
She ran to our house at lightning speed while i walked leisurely.
I sighed helplessly as i saw Luna running towards the horizon. I then smirked.
Hmm. I guess this Symboli Rudolf ain't bad after all.

We arrived at my house's doorstep
Creak~~
"Sorry for the intrusion." Luna said
She then ran towards the living room. There, a black haired 'young woman' wearing a white summer dress, sitting while knitting.
"Hello auntie Good Afternoon!" Luna beamed at my mother, Chika Laurent.
"Ara~ It's Little Luna. It's been a while since you last visited what took you so long?" My mother said enthusiastically.
Hearing this, Luna's eye seemed to dim.
Well, it's not an overreaction. The Symboli family has been very restrictive of Luna since being a baby. She hasn't experienced anything in her childhood other than study, etiquette training and training (for umamusume). Maybe that's why she's so cold in the beginning...
*FLASHBACK AGAIN, PLEASE BEAR WITH IT*
Her general life has been very repetitive. We first met at a nearby park in my freshman year, her eyes lifeless as she looked at the pavement. At that night i was genuinely worried about her. Seeing her state, i asked her what happened. She said she ran away from home. Seeing a pitiful child, i couldn't help but feel bad . I asked her if she has eaten. She didn't respond, i asked her again, this time her stomach responded with a gurgle. She blushed looking at the ground. I chuckled and told if she wants to go to my home to eat, she nodded and walked beside me. At home, when my mother saw her, she sighed. Her eyes seemed dead and she emitted this strong murderous aura "I didn't know you have... An interesting taste M.I.N.A.M.I-kun...~~". Seeing her like that, i hastily explained what happened. Her aura changed after that, now emitting this motherly aura.
She then cooked extra Miso Soup knowing the intake of Umamusumes. She ate with gusto back then and she developed a particular love for Miso soup due to that event. I tried to ask her name, when she told me her name, my eyes widened... Her name seemed, familiar? So I ran to my bedroom and opened my notebook full of Umamusume that I remembered, and there i saw her name. "Symboli Rudolf, the future President of Tracen Academy. Known as the Emperor. (Note to self: She comes from a prestigious family, she is one of the most unlikely Umamusume to be your charge because she is likely to already have her career done when you join the Tracen Academy.)"
Seeing her name and the heaviness of the situation, i sighed helplessly. Me and my family helped her with all our ability for 2 days and knowing how we'll be charged with kidnapping if she chose to stay with us longer, we took her to the police station.
We of course tried to explain the situation to her and she agreed, but seeing her reluctant eyes, my heart ached though i thugged it out to not appear sad. After thinking for a solution, i promised her that everyday, I'll take the route where we first met, which in the park and i'll wait there for 30 minutes, from 4:30pm to 5:00pm. Know that this route was longer, and there is a more shorter path to my house. I only took it since I was bored at the time. She agreed while crying at my mom's clothes.
We took her to the police station and reported how we found Luna and explained the situation to them. After like 10 minutes, her father arrived and he seemed outraged with a nerve in his head bulging. Seeing his expression, my mom's face hardened and got between Rudolf and her father (A/N: I'll call her Rudad cuz I'm lazy). She applied pressure to him by saying her name and deliberately saying her last name louder. When Rudad didn't get the hint, my mother said:
"Ara~~ Sorry but my husband named "Martin Laurent" isn't here to personally say sorry for deliberately housing Rudolf for 2 days, he's currently in America training Secretariat, because y'know he's a very influential trainer and he has a lot of responsibilities in the American URA association~~." She said while deliberately making the name of my father, and Secretariat's name louder.
But Rudad, seemed to didn't get the hint so she deliberately video called my father and let Rudolf's father see it. Seeing my father's face, Rudad's face hardened and thick beads of sweat began to form in his forehead. And he sweat even more seeing Big Red and Secretariat face show on the screen. Knowing the situation, Rudad apologized to us. But my mom seemed to be not convinced so she said "I hope to not see Rudolf running again or else..." She didn't continue the sentence and let Rudad's imagination do all the work. Rudad began to stammer now as my mom is 'Smiling' at him.
The situation ended right there and the tradition of waiting at the park for 30 minutes still persisted for almost 3 years.
*Flashback ends*
Seeing Luna's face, my mom's face darkens and she sneered.
"Tsk, i swear. Prestigious backwater Japanese Umamusume family are always like this. Always putting a lot of pressure and expectation in a child."
Seeing my mother saying that, Luna laughed a bitm While I myself covered my face.
"Haah mom... Don't you remember, that you're firstly a Japanese and saying all that is really weird and second, please don't say stuff like that... Remember we are in Japan, the Symboli family's home turf and i really wouldn't like Yakuzas knocking on our door." I said, my tone exasperated, but I can't help but agree to her statement.
"Hmph, let them come. I'll let them taste my fist of love!" My mom said while puffing her non existent breast.
Seeing us bicker like this, Luna chuckled.
Hearing her chuckle, I smiled and whispered to my mom.
"You really are very kind, mom."
She smiled full of warmth at me.
Afterwards, seeing Luna happy she walked towards me and whispered.
"You haven't told her yet about you going to the states after graduation did you..?"
"Well i'm kinda scared that I'll hurt Lu-"
*Smack!*
"Stop being over dramatic! It'll hurt her even more if you decided to hide it from her. Are you mentally ill?" My mom shouted, which got my ears ringing.
"Tell her the news this night or else you'll sleep outside." My mom then walked towards the kitchen to do who knows what.
I sighed and decided to break to Luna the news...
"Luna. I have something important to say to you..."
She hummed in confusion.
"Tomorrow is our graduation and it might be our last time meeting... I'll be taking the URA trainer exam in the states..."
Luna's face which has been smiling a couple of seconds ago hardened and she looked at me.
"W-wait... Your going?" Luna said.
I heard a face palm in the kitchen which I decided to ignore.
"Yeah, I'll go the day after tomorrow to take the exam and be an apprentice to my father to prepare for the exam which is next year..." I said in a solemn voice.
Luna's eyes seemed to be teary eyes and said.
"Will you be back?"
I smiled and patted her head.
"Of course! I can't let our dear Luna be sad for so long!" I said, my voice full of enthusiasm.
"I'm glad..." Luna said while smiling, her eyes full of tears.
I then proceed to pat her head. But apparently she doesn't like that since she slapped away my hand.
"H-hmph! Don't go patting me and treating me like a kid."
"Haha" I laughed sheepishly.
Then I heard a "Tsk" sound, I turned my head to the source of the sound and saw my mother, her arms crossed in the kitchen.
"Public display of affection? Really? Right in-front of me of all people??? Jeez it seems like you got gutsy Minami..."
Ah.
She then stood up, he body radiating an aura full of 'love'.
"Take this, fist of love!"
Bonk.
"Ouch... You old flat hag! Stop punching me or I'll report you for domestic violence!" I said, my voice full of 'anger'.
"F-flat?! O-old hag?!!!" She seemed to focus more on those part than the part where I threatened her for domestic violence.
"Ara~~ seems like you are going through what they so called say as 'Rebellious Stage'. Seems like I'll need to correct your behaviour" Mom said, her voice carrying a hint of ominousness.
"M-mom?"
"Please don't move Minami-kun~~"
I then looked at Luna, but she looked away after our eyes met. I was dragged towards the kitchen.
"LUNA! TASKETEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"
"Take my fist of correction!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHH"

A/N: I have like 3 chapters currently ready to release but I changed my mind, I'll re-write the whole chapter and replace those 3 chapters with MC under the apprenticeship with his father. I originally planned to keep his father mysterious but I figured that it is needed to establish a relationship between the MC and the big shots in 'Murica.
So there are no Rudolf in like maybe 7 chapters? Since I planned to have a random Umamusume to be with the MC first before he takes Rudolf as his charge.
Also there is a System, I also originally planned to have no system but for convenience purposes I just added it because I'll know I'd get too lazy adding details so I'll just chalk it up by saying "Thanks to the System" but of course, I'd not do it half-heartedly, I may be lazy but I hate ass pulls more than anything.
