In the royal castle of Myard...
The King of Myard was tapping forcefully on his throne and looking at the generals kneeling on the ground along with some nobles. The King had his hand on his temple, as if suffering from a headache.
"Raise your heads. What is the current situation?"
"Currently, Hysin is carrying out a large-scale invasion of villages and small farms in southern Myard."
"That is correct. They are currently attacking the villages in my fiefdom, Your Majesty. We must act regarding them."
"And what about the Myard army? Isn't our army supposed to handle them?" the King asked.
"Regarding this, Your Majesty, it seems the Hysin army is following goblin war strategies. They are using forests and caves as hiding places while pillaging other villages and destroying what they can."
"Of course, our brave army confronted them, but the morale of our people is at rock bottom, especially with their talk about Hysin possessing a destructive giant monster."
"(Sigh) Malcolm, didn't you say that thing couldn't defeat Malamados?"
"I am sorry, Your Majesty. Please forgive me. I never thought it could defeat the Head Wizard in such a manner," Malcolm spoke in an apologetic tone.
"This means this giant can deal with any wizard as if they were nothing. Damn it, they weren't called the strongest race for nothing."
"Damn, what about Serafield? Have you heard anything about them?"
When the King asked, everyone had bad expressions. They were looking down, as if afraid of the King and worried about something.
"Why all these sullen faces?" the King asked suspiciously.
"Regarding Serafield, they..."
"They what? Speak!" the King of Myard spoke with an angry expression.
"They are considering withdrawing from the war," one replied.
"They what?!!" the King shouted in pure anger.
"Why do they want to withdraw now, of all times?!" the King shouted angrily.
"They faced the Hysin giant and were severely defeated."
"Since when did this happen?" the King asked with an unbelieving expression.
"Days ago, my King," a general spoke with his head bowed.
"They said there is no point in fighting Hysin if they have a giant that can destroy any army in its path."
"They are currently planning a peace truce with them. They will send a delegation within days."
"Those cowards! They lost one battle, and here they are withdrawing from the war. Damn them!" the King shouted.
"In addition, Argudin has filed complaints about the war, saying that the Myard army is stronger than they were told, and they lost their wizards. They are demanding financial and military support from us if they are to continue attacking Hysin, because they seized an important area."
"Aaah.... Heheheh!" the King spoke while putting his hands on his face.
"Your Majesty, are you alright?" one of the generals asked.
"No, I am certainly not alright, you stupid peasant!" the King shouted angrily.
"We are now losing one battle after another, and these two foxes are planning to withdraw from the war, and I have to face Hysin's wrath alone!"
"He crushed Malamados, our biggest card, as if he were an insect!"
"Damn everything. If only he had stuck to his role, we wouldn't be..." the King of Myard spoke with regret.
"There is another matter, sire," someone replied.
"What is it?" the King asked, frustrated.
"The new Head Wizard of the Ivory Tower, Forbas, has submitted a request."
"A request about what?"
"About awakening a dragon in the Monster Forest."
As soon as he said this, the hall fell into chaos again.
"Awakening the dragon?!"
"Those fools, don't they know that thing will destroy us if it wakes up!"
"Just what do those idiots plan to do?"
"Silence!" the King shouted, and they all fell silent.
"Why do they want to awaken it?"
"They have a theory, which is that the dragon has an instinct that targets the source of the greatest threat," the person replied.
"If it senses the giant's presence, it might go and target all of Hysin."
"Is this possible, General?" the King asked, pointing his finger at a specific general.
"Certainly, Your Majesty, it is possible. In my youth, I faced monsters, and some of them become aggressive when there are monsters that rival their threat level."
"Interesting," the King replied with a gleam in his eyes while stroking his beard.
"But it's just a theory, sire. Perhaps everything could turn for the worse."
"Yes, he is right," a noble replied.
"It is better to prepare and fight than to awaken a catastrophe," a general spoke.
Knock!
"Urgent news!" a soldier spoke, running in a panicked state.
"What?" a general asked, seeing the panicked soldier.
"Who dares to barge into the royal court without permission?!" a noble shouted.
"Sire, there is urgent news!"
"What is it? Speak!" the King spoke with concern.
"The scouts have spotted that Hysin is sending a large army towards..."
"Towards where? Tell me now!"
"It's towards..."
...
In a different place in Myard...
Loom.....
A large army was advancing forward. The sound of their footsteps was shaking the ground. The Hysin army was advancing forward across the plains. Julius, Charlotte, and Edmund were riding their horses, advancing ahead of their army. Atlas was walking, and Xander was on his shoulder.
"So, what is all this for? Are we going to the capital?" Atlas asked.
"No... we are going to Arsai," Xander replied.
"What kind of place is this?"
"It's a large town, and well, a place for some mercenaries who call themselves adventurers," Xander replied while looking down and drinking some water.
"Adventurers?" Atlas asked, confused, because he had never heard of such a thing, as he was always in his bed.
"Ah-hem, they are sort of people who accept monster-hunting missions or cave exploration missions, and so on."
"Oh, I see. Are they as strong as Malamados?"
"What, pfft, what? No! (shakes his head) That wizard spent his entire life on magic, which is why he was difficult. These are just random people who took that job because they needed work to eat."
"Don't worry about them, big boy. You defeated Malamados and armies of them. Nothing can harm you. You are a Titan, have you forgotten this?"
"Yes," Atlas replied.
"And speaking of which, there it is!" Xander said.
Atlas saw, as usual, walls surrounding the town, but they were five meters high. The length of the walls was weak, and the soldiers also noticed it. They noticed Arsai because they were on the plains, and it was easy to spot.
They actually started from their march because Xander mentioned it loudly, and they soon advanced quickly. Both Charlotte and Julius looked forward with determined and troubled expressions, while Edmund was gritting his teeth because it was supposed to be just a journey, while Randolph looked at Arsai and clenched his fists.
"Listen, everyone, I will not give a long speech, so I will say it quickly," Julius said.
"We are now going to invade Arsai, the adventurer town, one of Myard's important strongholds."
"Well, what do you think about letting Atlas start first?" Xander asked.
...
In the town of Arsai...
Arsai was a border town, full of people moving back and forth. It was a town full of life; you could see Elves among them. And somewhere in Arsai, there was a tavern full of people of other races like Elves, Dwarves, Orcs. There were even wizards among them, drinking and chatting together. It was full of life.
Meanwhile,
There was a table where many adventurers were talking with each other.
"Look, a mission to find a Crystal Snow plant."
"It's a difficult mission. It rarely sprouts once every hundred years."
"I heard there's a Troll hunting mission. Is it still available?" an adventurer wearing Viking armor asked.
"A dragon-guarding mission? Who believes such nonsense? The mission is supposed to be hunting, not protection," an adventurer spoke mockingly while looking at the poster.
"Anything for the table?" a waitress asked.
"Not for me, thank you," an adventurer replied while walking between the tables.
"Hey, Guk'kar, do you still consider the axe a harp?" an adventurer asked.
"None of your business, Hugh," the Orc replied.
"As you wish," Hugh replied with a smile.
"So, what do you think about going on a Goblin hunting trip, Isela?" Hugh asked.
"I'm not sure. My magic might accidentally burn the forest."
"Don't worry. You've burned giant spider nests. There's certainly no harm in burning a few trees, O noble Elf," Hugh spoke mockingly.
"Hugh, please take this seriously. Causing trouble in the Silent Forest will not end well," Isela replied.
"Yes, you are right. (drinks wine) Man, the wine here is the best," Hugh replied.
"By the way, my friend, do you know anything about the war between Myard and Hysin?" Hugh asked.
"I am not your friend, Hugh. I don't want to get involved in your problems," Dorg replied.
"Come on, Dorg, don't be so mean. All I said was to ask for your opinion."
"I don't interfere in the affairs of nobles. Leave," Dorg replied.
"Man, can someone at least tell me what's going on?" Hugh asked.
"I heard the war between Hysin and Myard has become more violent now," another adventurer replied.
"Really? What is the cause of this war anyway? I hardly hear anything about them. What is the reason?" Hugh asked.
"A mysterious death of one of their ambassadors. Myard declared war on Hysin when they remained silent in the face of its demands, by sending its army to investigate."
"Damn, just for this? I thought the reason was bigger." Hugh spoke with disappointment.
"Not every war has a big or trivial cause. It's the perspectives of the people who determine the reasons for wars," Isela replied.
"And I suppose that's true because you are older than my grandmother?" Hugh asked.
"Screw you," Isela hit him playfully.
"So, will our kingdom win then?"
"I don't know anything about the war going on here, but I am sure of one thing," Dorg spoke while polishing his hammer.
"That one of the parties will bleed a lot for this war, and it's not our kingdom that will lose the war because we have Malamados and the Ivory Tower on our side."
"You are right about that, Dorg, because our kingdom has___
Boom!"
Suddenly, an explosion struck, shaking the tavern and making the chandeliers vibrate violently and powerfully.
"What the hell just happened?!" Hugh shouted in shock while almost everyone was knocked over.
....
Atlas was looking forward and saw the stones he had thrown far away destroying the walls from a distance and destroying one of the buildings.
"Ooh, a good throw, Atlas!" Xander spoke, who had gotten off Atlas.
"So this is how he defeated the Serafield army. This is truly terrifying," Charlotte replied.
Julius looked at Atlas with an ambiguous expression and raised his sword high.
"All troops, forward!" Julius shouted.
"Wait, wait, are we going just like that, after Atlas just started?" Xander asked.
"Yes, isn't it obvious?"
"Going there after launching the attack seems a little inappropriate for the situation," Xander spoke.
"Yes, but our goal is not to destroy it, but to conquer it. There is a difference, soldier."
"Yes, but__"
"Sergeant Xander, are you doubting my words?" Julius spoke with a threatening gleam.
While Edmund was walking and thinking about killing Xander, Oslo looked at him with a deadly expression, and he immediately retreated.
"What he means is that sending Atlas directly here is a waste, given that he is very useful in long-range combat," Randolph replied.
"Don't question what I do. What I am doing is clear: inflicting direct defeat on them!"
"But this can still be done without sending our soldiers there. If you order Atlas, he can destroy them without losses, young sir," Oslo spoke.
"It would be a victory without honor then," Julius spoke.
"Yes, he is right," a Hysin soldier spoke, and the rest of the soldiers nodded their heads.
"Randolph, he is right about this. It wouldn't be an honorable fight," Charlotte spoke.
"Lady Charlotte, there is no honor in war. What I am simply saying is Xander's opinion, and he is right in what he says. Attacking from a distance is much better than blindly entering and attacking."
"There would be no casualties on our side."
"But I will follow your will," Randolph spoke while drawing his sword, preparing for battle.
"It's good that you listened for once," Julius spoke while riding his horse forward.
"I will not repeat it again. All troops, charge!"
...
In Arsai, inside the adventurers' guild...
"Damn, what just happened here?!"
"It's Hysin!!" someone shouted from the door. "The Hysin army is attacking us!"
"What?!" the bartender shouted.
"Those bastards are attacking Arsai?" an adventurer replied in shock.
"This hasn't happened in 50 years!" an Elf adventurer spoke.
"Damn you, Hugh, you brought us bad luck!" Dorg shouted.
"Me, how is this my fault?" Hugh asked, confused.
"Because you mentioned them! If you hadn't mentioned them, this wouldn't have happened!" Dorg shouted angrily.
"hey, hey, now is not the time for fighting," a wizard adventurer spoke, separating them so they wouldn't fight.
"She is right. We must move," Guk'kar spoke while readying his axe.
"Move where?" Isela asked.
"To defend Arsai!" a barbarian adventurer shouted.
"Yeah!" adventurers shouted enthusiastically as they prepared to leave.
"Whoom!"
Suddenly, they stopped when they heard a strange sound, a sound that grew louder over time.
"Whooom!"
"What is that sound?" an adventurer asked.
"This is a strange sound. It resembles the sound of drums, but different, like the sound of footsteps, but very loud," an Elf adventurer spoke.
All the adventurers went out of the tavern and saw it for the first time. They saw the Hysin giant, who had breached the walls, and the Hysin army advancing through the streets like a wave. They were very far from them and were fighting the Myard army, but they were focusing completely on Atlas.
"Damn, is that the giant?!" Hugh asked in shock.
"He is 30 meters tall, at the very least," a wizard adventurer spoke.
"He is like a moving mountain," a Dwarf adventurer spoke.
"He is even bigger than a Forest Troll," a Viking adventurer replied.
"Hmm, I thought he would be more threatening. He just looks like a boy," Guk'kar replied.
"You are right about that," Isela replied.
"Hmm?" What is he doing?
They saw Atlas looking at something and raising his foot, crushing a group of Myard soldiers, and the surroundings shook around them.
"Damn, boy or not, he is still a giant," Hugh shouted.
"We must take him down," an assassin adventurer spoke.
"So this settles it," a wizard adventurer spoke.
"Guys! Show these invaders the power of Myard's adventurers!"
"Yeah!" they all shouted in harmony.
"Let's go!" an adventurer shouted.
The adventurers let out a war cry and headed towards Atlas. For them, he was the greatest threat.
....
Inside the gates of Arsai...
From Atlas's perspective...
I breached the gate. I mean, it wasn't like it was considered an obstacle; it was only five meters high. A simple kick with my foot and I destroyed it completely and went inside, and the Hysin soldiers also entered with me, expecting that.
It seems they have adapted to my presence, even though I stormed a fortress once. I don't know if I am impressed or worried about them. It seems as if they are completely immersed in the war, especially that person with the blonde girl... He was on a killing spree, practically killing five soldiers with ease while continuing to advance forward with her.
And when I stared ahead, I couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship.
It was made of stones, and there were stone buildings taller than that, the wall I destroyed, but they barely reach my ankle here, and all the buildings were made of stones, but I noticed there were a considerable number of buildings made of wood.
And I contemplated the buildings and stared at their shapes while I walked and crushed Myard soldiers, and my attention was drawn to the large building in the middle of the town. Is it the mayor's house of this town? Or for adventurers? I was wondering how they would___
Boom!
Zaaggggg!
Whosh! Whosh!
And suddenly, while I was contemplating, I was hit by three flying attacks that struck my stomach. It was lightning, explosive fire, and something like a small stone ball. I don't need to guess because this was definitely magic, but it never hit as hard as Malamados's, but I felt it, barely.
I looked at the cause of this and saw a group of wizards in clothes different from the others, and they weren't alone. There was a large number of different people. I saw armored people and people wearing barbarian clothes, and there were green-skinned people, and there were short-statured people carrying axes and hammers.
And there were people standing on the roofs of buildings. They were wearing robes covering their heads and carrying daggers, and on another building's roof, there was a group of wizards with pointed ears.
"Now!" a robed adventurer shouted.
Elf adventurers cast various binding spells, which were green chains binding Atlas's body, restricting his movement.
The chains were like threads to him. Atlas resisted a little, and they completely shattered and turned into fragments and then into dust.
But this was just a distraction. In fact, the assassins advanced using wall-walking magic and ran across Atlas's back, trying to stab his vital areas, with the biggest target being the neck since he wears thick clothes. And when they tried to stab him...
They were surprised that Atlas's skin was harder than they expected, and Atlas felt as if he had been stung by a wasp, and he crushed them immediately.
Atlas extended his hands and crushed them, like how a person crushes a mosquito when it bites them. Atlas crushed them as if they were nothing more than insects.
When Atlas showed his hands, they were filled with the corpses of the assassins stuck with terrified expressions. They were crushed as if a building had fallen on them with its full force, and their corpses were like small cockroaches.
"Damn, I thought they were mosquitoes, and I overdid my strength!" Atlas thought while shaking his hand forcefully.
When Atlas shook his hand, the corpses fell to the ground, and the adventurers saw their condition. They saw the horrific state of their comrades' corpses, and some of them vomited at this sight and began to tremble with fear and anger.
When Atlas stared at them, he saw feelings of anger rising on their faces. He understood this without saying a word.
Atlas saw on his right a barrage of arrows heading towards his eyes, and he closed his eyes and raised his right hand for protection while searching for the archers.
The adventurers looked at Atlas with anger before deciding their next move.
"Damn, I'll handle this myself! Isela, make me fly to his shoulder!" a Viking adventurer shouted.
"I don't know if it will work," Isela hesitated.
"Just do it. It's either us or him!" Hugh shouted.
"I...."
Lo and behold.
They saw Atlas stomping on an entire building with such great force that the entire building completely collapsed, and everyone inside died, including the archer adventurers. And there were survivors trying to continue shooting arrows, but they were being chased by Atlas.
"Isela!" the Viking shouted.
"Fine, I'll do it! Just don't curse me in the afterlife," Isela shouted in terror.
Isela attempted to cast a spell, and what appeared to be a cloud appeared. The Viking got on it, and as soon as he got on, the cloud flew and went directly to Atlas's arm, and he waved it with great force.
And to the surprise, he managed to wound him, even if superficially. He managed to wound him in front of everyone's eyes. And Atlas felt this and soon extended his hand, trying to crush him with his hand, but the Viking moved and swung his large axe again, starting to wound Atlas again.
But this wasn't the only surprise. The Orc Guk'kar had climbed on
