Chapter 12 - chapter 12

Somewhere in Myard...

In the Ivory Tower...

On a specific floor inside a room, there was a wizard writing in a private chamber. The room was large and almost empty. He continued his work until he noticed something...

He looked at the floor and saw a magic circle beginning to form on the ground. Two bodies appeared, fallen on the floor, unconscious. Their bodies had burns on them. The wizard didn't understand what had happened and moved immediately, making them drink healing potions he possessed. After their condition improved, he placed each of them in a bed and put a towel on their heads.

After everything was settled, he let out a sigh of relief and tension. He knew who they were and what they had planned. It was dangerous to cause a commotion, so he decided to leave them in bed and wait. He waited until they woke from their coma. They finally woke up after a full day.

"Cough! Cough!"

"Drag-Dragunimir!"

"Thank the gods, you're awake!" the wizard exclaimed.

"What? Who's speaking?"

"It's me, Director Forbas! And I brought Princess Vera with you. Did something happen during the meeting with the dragon? You were unconscious for..." the wizard replied.

"Dragon??" Forbas asked and began to remember. "Oh damn! Damn it!"

"What's the matter? Did something go wrong?" the wizard asked, confused.

"Vera!" Forbas shouted.

"This is all your fault!" Forbas shouted angrily.

"My fault?!" Vera shouted while sitting up. "Don't forget you're the one who got me to the Silent Forest!"

"Because you convinced me!" Forbas replied angrily. "You said you would handle it! And look what happened! A complete disaster!"

"I'm sorry, wizard. How was I to know that dragon was a crazy killer who hates listening?" Vera replied irritably.

"Excuse me, but may I know what happened so I... understand the situation?" the wizard asked.

"The dragon almost killed us! That's what happened!" Forbas spoke angrily.

"My god!" the wizard exclaimed in shock.

"Damn! Do you at least remember what he said? I was busy using a teleportation spell and was disrupted because of it," replied Forbas.

"He said, 'If your kingdom has people like me, you must ensure they do not bring them disgrace?'" Vera spoke.

"Perhaps he meant the dragon race in general," Forbas replied, regaining his composure.

"But damn, we are in the midst of confronting a dragon. It's a catastrophe in itself."

"But at least he's going first to Hysin where the giant is. But we must hide from___

"Rzzzzzzrrrrkkk!"

"Wait, what is that sound?" the wizard asked.

Boom!

Suddenly, the entire floor shook without warning, and dust fell to the ground.

"Damn!" both Vera and Forbas shouted in perfect unison.

"Are we under attack?!" the wizard shouted in terror.

"Wait, it can't be... To the crafting room, quickly!" Forbas shouted.

Forbas ran quickly out of the room and dashed through the corridors, followed by both Vera and the wizard. Wizards around them were running back and forth while the entire Ivory Tower shook.

"Director, what is happening?" the wizard asked in terror.

"Just hurry and run!" Forbas replied while running at a speed contrary to his age.

"Why are we going to this room?" Vera asked.

"The crafting room is the room where tools are made, including instant teleportation rings. We must go there quickly before it's too late!" Forbas shouted in terror.

"What do you mean, Director?" the wizard asked with concern.

"Just run quickly!" Forbas shouted.

Forbas burst into the crafting room and saw some prominent people inside. They saw Forbas, the Tower Director.

"Master!"

"Master Forbas!"

"What is happening?!"

"Are we under attack?"

"Be quiet! I don't have time now. Listen to me carefully. Use all instant teleportation tools to get away from here immediately!" Forbas shouted.

"Yes, sir!" the wizards replied.

Forbas took four rings as a precaution and began using the instant teleportation spell. Some wizards followed, but suddenly flames appeared and began to burn everything.

"The flames are consuming the place!" a crafting wizard shouted in terror.

"Put them out quickly!" a commanding wizard shouted.

"Wait, flames?" Vera asked fearfully.

Vera saw in a wall in the room, the color of the room changing from red to yellow and beginning to melt outward as if something would emerge from the wall.

Whoosh!

And before Vera could see what was about to happen, they were all teleported outside, far from the tower. When they arrived, Vera vomited.

"Booagghh!"

"Damn it, wizard, can't you at least not make a spell that puts us in a coma again?" Vera spoke after wiping her mouth.

"No..." Forbas cried out in a desperate and faint tone.

"What are you looking at___

Vera saw and fell silent. She saw who had attacked the tower. It was...

It was the dragon... Evryx, and he was flying with his wings and burning the Ivory Tower with his flames. The flames filled the entire Ivory Tower, even reaching its top and destroying everything. The Ivory Tower was completely gone.

"No... no... my tower! The Ivory Tower!" Forbas cried out in pain.

"Wait, there's something wrong! Why is the dragon targeting our tower!? Isn't he supposed to target Hysin!?" the wizard exclaimed in shock and terror.

"That's what it's supposed to be!" Vera shouted.

"Why is he doing this!" Forbas asked, hitting the ground angrily.

"Wait, there... there are monsters!" shouted the wizard with them.

"What? What are you raving about?" Vera asked, looking at him mockingly. "We're not in___

When she looked, Vera was shocked, and Forbas followed to see what she saw and witnessed a horrifying and shocking scene.

They looked down and saw an unprecedented horde of various types of monsters advancing across the land, and the screams of people could be heard forming a terrifying chorus while the monsters invaded everything around them.

"In Artosius's name! What is this!" Vera screamed in terror.

"He's destroying everything!" the wizard exclaimed in shock.

"Oh, my god, he... no... no... he's not destroying, he's challenging!" Forbas shouted.

"What?" Vera replied in terror.

"He's not planning destruction, but challenge!" Forbas shouted while pulling his hair.

"What?! What are you saying?!" Vera shouted, trying to understand.

"The reason for his attack is that he is challenging us, just as an animal challenges dominance over an area controlled by another animal. He is challenging us. But the problem is that the challenge is not directed at the kingdom itself, but at humanity as a whole!"

"What did you say?! Humanity!" Vera asked in shock.

"He has gathered a horde and will decide whether we are worthy or not. He's doing this to see our strength. He said it himself, don't you remember? This means he is testing whether we are strong enough not to embarrass them, embarrass the dragons. That's why he's targeting the Ivory Tower, because he feels threatened by it, and he will go towards places that pose a threat or that he considers worthy opponents!"

"But the problem is, if we are not as strong as he thinks, he will burn everything!" Forbas shouted.

"You must be joking!" Vera replied with pure terror in her eyes. "Then why isn't he targeting Hysin?" She pointed her finger at him. "Isn't the giant a big threat to him?"

"Because it's the farthest. Even if I told him this, he wouldn't go directly to Hysin. He will go to the closest," Forbas replied in shock.

"Damn, I have to warn my people that___

"Wait, look at him," the wizard shouted, pointing at the dragon.

After the tower was destroyed and completely collapsed into rubble, the dragon flew upward, looked left and right until he decided his destination, and flew quickly.

"Wait, where is he going?!" Forbas asked.

"Wait, this direction... he's flying towards...

"Serafield!" Vera screamed with pure terror.

...

Somewhere in Myard, in a certain village...

Orion was kneeling on the ground, shackled. There were many corpses around him, and Zander and those with him surrounded him. There were also corpses from Hysin.

"So, don't you want to kill me? Does your beloved King still want me alive, more than dead?" Orion asked mockingly.

"No, the King wants you executed publicly, in front of all the people of Hysin, so they can witness the stupidity of what you did," Randolph answered coldly.

"As is his habit," Orion replied mockingly.

"Save your talk for the gallows," Zander replied, dragging him away.

While they were taking him away, three soldiers were on a scouting trip in case of any hidden enemies.

"Phew, it's good that everything ended soon," a soldier replied.

"Yes, but am I the only one feeling this?" a soldier asked, looking left and right.

"Feeling what?" a soldier asked.

"I feel like there's something bad, really bad about to happen," the soldier asked.

"Guys..." a soldier asked nervously.

"Maybe because you saw many of our comrades die."

"Guys..."

"No, I witnessed many deaths when I was a border guard. This is nothing."

"Guys..."

"What now?!" both shouted.

"This... outside." The soldier pointed with his finger.

"Where... what in... Artosius!" they shouted in terror.

"We must inform Julius immediately!" they shouted while running.

Back to Zander...

"Go on, hurry!" Zander shouted while Julius was watching him.

"No horse? Your mission must have been tough if you traveled all the way without one," Orion replied.

"Listen to me well, you scum__

"Leave him to me, Zander," Julius replied.

"But___

"I said leave him," Julius replied angrily.

Zander left him, and Julius approached and looked at him with contempt.

"Wow, a captain questioning a noble commander like you. Hysin must be going through a tough time!" Orion replied mockingly.

"You're right," Julius replied.

"Really?" Orion answered mockingly.

"Yes, I was wondering why the King appointed me, because I was far from the sun due to something that was hidden from me. But I accepted this, and look at the surprise."

"A person who caused a headache for our King. And who would have thought it was you, Your Highness?"

"But now you are no longer a person of royal lineage. You have become just one person, insignificant and hated, a gray sheep," Julius replied.

"This sheep can bite, you know," Orion replied angrily.

"True, but a sheep remains an animal in the end, and the fate of animals is to be slaughtered in the slaughterhouse," Julius replied with malice.

"And look at your condition now. You look exactly like them, but we won't eat you. We will kill you and you'll be forgotten from history," Julius replied.

"And now, tell me, what will your last words be?" Julius asked, bringing his sword close to Orion's neck.

"Commander Julius, we__

"Outside! There are monsters!"

"Monsters?"

"

They saw a horde estimated in the hundreds of goblins moving and heading towards them, carrying various weapons."

"

"Yes, but they're not always in such large numbers!"

"Damn, what brought them here like this?" a soldier asked, scratching his helmet.

"What should we do? Do we fight them?" a soldier asked.

"No, their numbers are too great. We won't be able to kill them," Charlotte replied with concern.

"There's a village not far from here. Let's go there first! Hide the Hysin symbols, and pretend we're just a group of mercenaries, and retreat slowly to our camp."

"Wait, who appointed you commander here? Did you forget I'm the commander here?" Julius asked with contempt.

"And me too. To all troops, carry out what Randolph said!"

"Yes, what he said is logical," a soldier spoke while covering the Hysin emblem with a cloak.

"Retreat is our best option," another soldier replied.

While the soldiers were doing as ordered, Zander moved away and left Julius alone. He looked around and felt some anger, and Orion smiled a cunning smile.
