The ship arrived at Uzushio under a neutral flag.
It was a small vessel, unarmed, its sails lowered as it entered the harbor. Uzushio's coastal barriers recognized the intent and parted without resistance. Guards watched from the walls but did not raise alarms.
A Mist envoy stepped onto the dock alone.
He wore formal robes, no weapons visible, his forehead protector clearly displayed. His posture was respectful, measured.
Word reached the inner district quickly.
By the time the envoy was escorted into the meeting hall, the clan head was already seated. Elders stood along the walls. Malenia was present as well, standing quietly to her father's right.
The Mist shinobi bowed.
"I come on behalf of Kirigakure," he said. "With a request."
The clan head nodded once. "Speak."
"One of our swords was lost at sea," the envoy continued. "Several days ago. Its last known location was near your patrol waters."
The room remained silent.
"It is one of the Mist's finest blade," he added. "If it was recovered, we wish to reclaim it. Kirigakure is prepared to offer compensation."
Gold. Resources. Information. The terms were stated plainly.
No mention of death.Neither mention of battle.
Malenia's eyes sharpened slightly.
"A sword," one elder said calmly. "Describe it."
The envoy did. Twin blades. Distinct shape. Balance, unlike standard weapons.
Malenia knew it instantly.
"Shiguru of the twin blades"
The name surfaced then, spoken softly by the envoy as part of the formal identification. A Mist swordsman. Missing. Presumed dead.
She did not react outwardly.
The clan head listened, unreadable. "We will look into the matter," he said at last. "Uzushio does not keep weapons that do not belong to us."
The envoy bowed again. "That is all we ask."
He was escorted out shortly after.
When the doors closed, the room remained quiet.
No one spoke immediately.
Malenia stared ahead, her expression unchanged.
So the man had not been just a patrol shinobi.
Her father glanced at her, then at the other people in the hall.
"We will discuss this further," he said to the elders. "Privately."
The meeting ended.
As Malenia left the hall, one thought settled clearly in her mind.
She had crossed blades with one of the seven swordsmen, but a question remained. Why didn't he fight with Twin Blade, but rather fight them combined as one?
After a while
Then Maleina visited her father in his room with the scroll in her hand.
Her father looked at her and said, "Are you sure you don't want to keep this?'
She refused and said, "This blade doesn't suit me."
Her father nodded, said, "ok, then what want? You defeated him, so the reward also belongs to you."
She thought for a while and then said, "I want a sword custom forged, so we should ask for chakra metal and 30 million ryo. "
Her father nodded with satisfaction and said, "That is indeed the best outcome we can get from them.
After three days mist envoy returned and stood in the hall
Then the Clan Head spoke again, measured and firm.
"The weapon was recovered on Uzushio territory," he said.
The envoy nodded once. "Kirigakure appreciates discretion. We are prepared to compensate Uzushio for its return."
The Clan Head leaned forward slightly.
"Our terms are simple," he said.
"50 million ryō."
The envoy's eyes narrowed—but he did not interrupt.
"And chakra metal," the Clan Head continued. "Enough to forge a single high-grade blade."
The envoy inhaled slowly. "That is a steep demand."
"No," the Clan Head replied evenly. "It is fair."
He met the envoy's gaze directly.
"Well, we have to spend a large amount of fortune to find that sword, you see, it was submerged in the deep sea, my people fought whirlpools and sea creatures to get this blade, so this much is minimum."{bro was inwardly laughing with joy}
Another pause.
The envoy didn't show any reaction, but inwardly, he was cursing the hell out of Uzumaki.
"I will relay this to the Mizukage," he said at last.
Then the clan head said, "Relay this too Mizukage, that"
He straightened.
"Uzushio has no desire for conflict with Kirigakure. We are a peace-loving small country."
The envoy bowed again, deeper this time.
"I understand."
When he turned to leave, the weight in the room did not lift.
Then, a week later,
The envoy returned with two scrolls in his hand. With a reluctant face, he handed the two scrolls to them and took the scroll and pulled out the sword from the scroll and nodded.
He left with the sword without saying anything. After leaving the land of whirlpool, he said, These fcking redheads. If it wasn't for their reliance with senju, they would have already wiped that clan off this map.
