Chapter 70: All Against One
Witch Lily stepped onto the battlefield, her presence cold and deliberate. She raised her staff, her voice echoing sharply across the ruins.
"Neraxis wants to fight all the hunters. Retreat at once."
The cultists didn't hesitate. One by one, they vanished into shadows, withdrawing alongside Witch Lily, leaving behind shattered streets, broken buildings… and death.
Silence followed.
Yura slowly stood up.
He stopped staring at the scattered pieces of Kael's body. His hands trembled for just a moment—then clenched. He turned, stepping forward, leaving grief behind with every step.
The Principal remained frozen, still trying to breathe, still trying to accept what had happened.
Neraxis' four eyes shifted.
They locked onto Yura.
Yura's voice was low, steady, filled with something far colder than rage.
"Neraxis… I will kill you."
"Today."
"Here."
The air tightened.
Hunters moved in, surrounding Neraxis from every direction.
Kozuki Toya — eyes sharp, already analyzing every movement, every breath.
Seraphine Voss — her gaze unwavering, lethal intent barely restrained.
Ishihara — cards already between his fingers as he muttered, "I'd gamble."
Toura Oni — fists shaking, voice breaking, "Give back my friend."
Ren Takeda — muscles tense, veins visible, staring at Neraxis like prey.
Dust swirled around them. Cracked streets groaned beneath their feet. The battlefield itself seemed to recoil.
Neraxis looked around slowly.
Then he laughed.
A deep, unrestrained laugh that echoed through the ruins, shaking broken windows and sending chills through every hunter present.
"This is gonna be so fun…"
