Elena immediately attempted to straighten herself as though she had not just been carried through a dimensional gate.
It lasted several seconds.
Then she leaned back.
One of the maids looked terrified.
"What happened?"
"Temporary cultivation backlash," Elena answered.
The maid looked confused.
Elena continued, "I need rest, food, water, and someone to prepare my room. Nothing else."
"Yes, my lady."
Another maid asked, "Should we call a healer?"
Elena looked at Sekhmet.
Then back at the maid.
"Yes."
Sekhmet was slightly surprised she agreed that easily.
Elena noticed. She asked, "What?"
"Nothing."
"You expected me to refuse."
"Yes."
"I am weak, not stupid."
Sekhmet raised an eyebrow.
Elena narrowed her eyes.
"Do not say anything."
He did not.
The maids helped Elena from the courtyard.
She could now move her legs somewhat, but most of her weight still rested on them.
