Sekhmet gave him a flat look. Then he says, "Do not make me regret it."
Raka smiled. "I knew it."
Sekhmet ignored him and turned toward the broken entrance of Iron House.
"Finish the work."
"Yes, Young Master."
Raka immediately returned to directing the lesser vampires.
Sekhmet walked out of the estate alone.
The street outside was almost empty.
That was unusual for this part of Slik City, especially at this hour. Normally, merchants, guards, servants, carriages, and people returning from the entertainment districts would still be moving through the roads. Tonight, almost everyone had disappeared.
The battle between Gods had made sure of that.
Several buildings nearby had broken windows. Roof tiles had fallen into the streets. Cracks ran through walls that had never been directly attacked. Even houses farther away had suffered damage from the shockwaves.
Sekhmet could feel people hiding inside them.
He did not need Blood Eye to know.
