Chapter 8 Power and Kingdom
The place of enlightenment, the stairway to godhood, the kingdom of preachers.
This is Arakha's description of the right half of his divine realm.
In a way, he understood how his half of the divine realm should grow and what kind of authority it should correspond to.
Aroh learned most of his knowledge about the various aspects of divine ascension from his "good brother" Seth.
However, his "good brother" may not actually be that crazy.
He may not necessarily tell Araha all of his knowledge.
Therefore, in his spare time, Arakha also systematically studied and summarized the Egyptian gods.
In his view, the authority of the gods is actually divided into three levels.
At the most basic level, it should be the authority of real images such as mountains, rivers, farmland, deserts, and even the sun and moon.
The next level is to elevate these basic images to become "conceptual" gods.
For example, mountains and rivers can represent protection, rivers can represent destiny, farmland can represent nurturing, deserts can represent killing and war, and the sun and moon, needless to say, represent protection.
Ra is depicted as the sun, but he cannot be simply regarded as a sun god. Rather, he is the creator of the entire world, the establisher of order, the creator of all gods, all herds, all spirits, and humankind, the designer of the underworld, and the guarantor of harmony in the entire universe.
His existence has transcended the ordinary concept of a god, and has been relegated by Araha to the highest level of authority.
Similarly, the God of the Hebrews, who is now eternal and may become all-knowing and all-powerful in the future, is also included in this category.
The characteristics displayed by this part of the divine realm of Araha are also a kind of authority that transcends ordinary "concepts".
That glimmer of light amidst the confusion and chaos is the light of enlightenment, the radiant light of one's true nature that all living beings discover after countless contemplations in their quest for transcendence, capable of illuminating all beings.
In layman's terms, these beings are anomalies among the gods, philosophers among humans, and special beings among all living things who seek change and escape from fate.
Therefore, Arakha called this part of the divine realm the stairway to godhood and the kingdom of preachers.
Of course, with his current strength, he has not yet become a main god, and is far from being a ruler. It is still a long way off for him to transform the divine realm into a kingdom.
However, Aroha already knew how to walk, at least part of, his future path.
"This is forcing me to start building my own pantheon before I've even achieved godhood."
If we're talking about the authority corresponding to divine power, Arohah only has one basic authority from this half of the divine realm: it can help non-gods become gods.
This is why Arakha calls it the stairway to godhood.
To grasp this authority, Araha needs to personally walk among the people and guide all living beings to think, which is what he calls—preaching.
Through this guidance, his authority will grow, his unique divine power will mature, and the ignorant and chaotic half of the divine realm will gradually become clear, helping Aroh to become the chief god.
On the other hand, he can also accommodate these seekers of enlightenment and followers of the preacher, making them his chosen ones, ascending to the divine level, becoming subordinate gods like the born gods, and strengthening his own power.
Every person who meets the criteria for divine birth, or rather, every person chosen by Aloh, who transcends mortals and ascends to divine status, will have their own seat beneath Aloh's supreme divine throne.
Arhat can perfect the divine realm and transform it into a kingdom through his seat, and he can also borrow the power of any deity with a seat for his own use.
Of all the deities Aroh has encountered so far, only Isis and Sariel meet the criteria to become subordinate gods under his authority.
"Sariel… I even have some doubts about whether all the angels in heaven, and even the Hebrew incarnation himself, meet the criteria to be my god."
In a sense, the system of Heaven in the future can be considered a great legacy guiding people to pursue spiritual enlightenment.
This is the original intention behind the existence of religion.
"The Hebrew God and His angels are not to be trifled with for the time being, but Isis is perhaps the goddess I am most likely to take as my own."
Thinking of this, Aroha said to Isis, who was in deep confusion, "Goddess Isis, you don't want other gods, especially Ra, to know about your research on magical power, do you?"
Upon hearing this, Isis, the avatar of the goddess of magic, was not surprised, but calmly said, "Ra already knew about this matter. The reason he hid it was because he was worried about the impact on other gods."
"It seems that Ra is unwilling for you to pass on this power to humanity."
Aroh immediately understood and smiled leisurely: "Then, are you really willing to bury this power, which can obviously make you stronger and may even rival Ra God, forever in the deepest part of the divine realm?"
"It's no use. In this world, no one can disobey the will of Ra. Our so-called Nine Pillars are all branches of Ra's power. If Ra is willing, he can completely erase them and rebuild a new system."
Isis certainly didn't want to, but what could she do?
The Book of the Dead and the Book of the Sun were passed down because the former corresponds to the appearance of the underworld, which is in line with Ra's arrangement for the whole world; the latter is an alternative manifestation of magic, which makes people more reverent towards the sun.
In other words, Isis used her magical power to please Ra in this way, thus avoiding being attacked by Ra.
"I am not one of the Nine Pillars of Gods. What if I were willing to help you spread this power?"
Aroha's words made the goddess of magic Isis smile: "When you become the ruler, and then talk to me about these things, I might consider cooperating with you."
"But right now, with your current strength, you don't have the right to say such things."
The goddess Isis can be described as an extremely intelligent and patient goddess. She hopes that Arakh will become her collaborator in the future, but not now.
"What if I could become the God-King of this world?" Aroha laughed as well. "Then, with the authority of the God-King, I can help you spread the foundation of magic throughout the entire world."
"To become the God-King?"
Isis shook her head: "It's impossible for a true God-King to appear in our world. I've already tried."
"The final result was that Osiris became the god of the underworld, Horus became the protector of the pharaohs of the mortal world, and I barely served as the head of the gods for a short time. After Ra was reborn and returned, my authority immediately vanished."
Aroha couldn't help but give her a deep look. It seemed that obtaining Ra's true name, turning Osiris into a mummy, and having Horus defeat Set were not just simple acts of "revenge."
"Isis, shall we make a pact? If I truly become the god-king of Egypt, you will join my divine court and become my subordinate deity?"
The goddess of magic, Isis, thought for a moment and said, "I cannot answer that. I need to go outside and discuss it with her."
"Then let's go out and ask her opinion."
Aroha had no intention of keeping the goddess of magic trapped in this "preacher's kingdom," which, to this day, remains chaotic and ignorant, with only a faint glimmer of light
