Chapter 10 The Two Sides of "Good Brother" Seth

With Hathor, the god of love and beauty, stirring up quite a commotion among the gods on earth.

Aroh had only recently returned to the human world from the underworld and hadn't even had a chance to enjoy himself when he was constantly visited by deities who asked him if it was true that he was helping to resurrect Hades.

Araha did not hide anything and admitted it directly.

These deities were actually sent by the supreme god or beings above the supreme god. After receiving a positive reply, they all went back to report.

On the other hand, Horus and Anubis, following Aroha's instructions, had begun to build a temple in the human world, the underworld, and the place closest to the gods.

This place is none other than Memphis, one of the most prosperous cities in all of Egypt.

This city has temples dedicated to all of Egypt's most powerful gods.

Not to mention Arah, even many ordinary gods are not qualified to receive sacrifices there.

Because Arakha indicated that the temple could not be built using any divine power, but required mortals to construct it.

Moreover, it is necessary to emulate the temple of Ra.

This was destined to be a time-consuming project, and the two sons of Hades, though doubtful, still decided to proceed.

As for whether imitating Ra's temple would offend Ra, they didn't care.

At worst, they can wait until their father, Hades, is resurrected, and then personally demolish the temple and apologize to Ra.

Arahu, on the other hand, was quite carefree; he refused all the priests' and pharaohs' attempts to bring him back from the dead.

Now that the Hebrew girls who needed him to take their "first time" every so often were gone, he had nothing to do.

In his original temple, Arhat pondered how to preach to the world.

So-called preaching is actually spreading ideas among people.

However, any idea that appears out of thin air is destined to fail to gain the recognition of the world.

He must be rooted in the current society and even need to cater to the expectations of the world.

As for whether this kind of thinking could give rise to mortals who could ascend to godhood, Araha didn't care too much.

Currently, he is still in the stage of transforming from an ordinary deity into a supreme god.

The idea of incorporating deities and elevating mortals to godhood can be studied after one becomes a supreme deity.

Just as Aroha was pondering, an "uninvited guest" arrived outside his temple.

A fierce wind howled as a red bull rampaged through the area outside the temple of the "God of Miracles," knocking people, livestock, and houses to the ground, causing countless deaths and injuries.

Upon seeing this, the bull made a "moo" sound, seemingly quite pleased.

Then, it raised its head and rushed into the temple of Araha.

The priestess guarding the temple entrance knew the bull's identity and dared not stop it, letting it enter.

"Aroh, Aroh, you keep calling me your 'brother, dearest friend,' is this how you treat me?"

The bull in the temple took on human form, but its head was not human; instead, it was a "monster" with a long nose and tall, rectangular ears.

With the tail at its rear, it looks extremely comical.

This "monster" is Set, one of the nine Egyptian gods, the storm god who controls the desert and war.

Since losing to Horus, the son of Isis, in the war for the throne of the human world, Set has never been able to take on a true human form again.

Or it may appear in the form of an animal, rampaging through the world; or it may appear before the gods and mortals in the form of a monster, like a clown.

With the exception of a few special cases like the Alohah, almost every Egyptian god had their own animal form.

In many temple murals, people use animal heads instead of the gods' real appearance to show respect.

However, Set is the only god in Egypt whose true form has not been seen by anyone for many years.

"Seth, my good brother, it's not my fault. It's just that Osiris offered too much, and I couldn't resist the temptation."

Araha sighed deeply, as if he were blaming himself.

"That hypocrite Osiris, what did he give you that made you break our agreement!"

Seth's voice was still filled with anger.

"Good brother, you've been telling me about this agreement, but we both know that the agreement has never been truly made."

Aroha scoffed, "Osiris is far more willing to give than you. I was invited into the Realm of Life by his wife Isis, and we truly made a pact there."

"What?! They actually did that?!"

Seth was startled at first, then a pained expression appeared on his face: "I knew it, Isis, choosing Osiris was a huge mistake."

"In order to be resurrected, that hypocritical and pretentious villain will not care about his wife who loves him deeply."

Because of the affair between Arakh and the Hebrew girl, all the gods in the Egyptian world considered him a "lustful and debauched" deity.

Upon hearing that Aroha had entered Isis's realm and made a pact, Set didn't hesitate to conclude that Isis must have sacrificed herself to Aroha in order to help Osiris be resurrected.

This was something Seth had always dreamed of, but could never have.

The fact that the god he cherished was so easily abandoned by his opponent fueled Seth's rage.

His divine domain seemed to spread out of control, turning the entire temple and even the vast surrounding area into a scorching desert.

Countless creatures wailed in the desert, the blazing sun making it difficult for them to survive.

Before Aroha could even speak, gods appeared from the heavens above and from the depths of the earth, angrily rebuking Seth: "Seth, tone it down!"

Aroh had seen these two deities once before; they were the parents of Set and his four siblings—the sky god Nut and the earth god Geb.

After the two powerful rulers spoke, Seth immediately returned to normal, concealed the divine realm, and the area returned to its original state.

However, it still enveloped him and Aroha.

At this moment, Seth appeared particularly indifferent. He glanced coldly at Aroha and said, "Since you have chosen Osiris, then we will become enemies from now on."

Aroha understood that the current Seth was probably the real him.

That abnormal, insane state might be due to divine influence, or it might be a facade. The so-called "good brother" was just a joke; Seth wouldn't take it seriously, and neither would Aroha.

However, Aroha was secretly pleased with the current state of Egypt, the more chaotic the better. He gave a strange smile and said, "Seth, my 'good brother,' are you really going to give up like this?"

"Do you really want to just stand by and watch Osiris be fully resurrected, become the King of the Underworld, and then rule the human world through his son?"

"What do you mean?"

Seth's expression remained indifferent; this outcome was clearly the choice of the god of miracles before him.

Now that he has chosen to help Osiris, what's the point of saying all this?
