Chapter 6 - Reality & Escape

In the morning, the breakfast table was filled with deadly silence.

"Mom, I'm done."

Liu Zhi said, standing up from the chair, as he went for his morning martial arts lesson.

"Take Liu Ran with you, too; she will also get some fresh air." His mom said, looking at Liu Ran, who was already sneaking away from here.

Seeing her mom stare, she smiled awkwardly, "Hehe… I have to do some…"

Before she could finish her words, Liu Zhi dragged her out with him.

As they got out of the house, Liu Ran stopped her struggle and started following him silently.

"Tell me how those simulations went?"

"Nothing special happened, just died three one more time with his hands," Liu Ran replied, looking at the birds flying across the streets.

"OK, now hand over 50% percent of the things you got."

Her reply was completely under his expectations, but if she had any decent weapon, then it would come in handy till his ultimate weapon is formed.

"I am not giving you anything."

"What about a trade? I will give you that mecha, you give the best weapon you got." Liu Zhi knew well that snatching things isn't easy, with her bratty personality.

"I already got better things than that mecha, Humph! Who wants that piece of junk?"

"You…" As Lu Zhi was ready loot his little sister, she got some brain in the right time.

"I can share the only weapon I got, but from now on, you will give me at least one simulation, daily."

Liu Ran finally showed her cards, and hearing her words, Liu Zhi sneered at her and acted as if he was considering.

"Ok… show me the treasure first, if it's good, I will think about it." He spoke, extending his hand.

She reached out to his hand, gently colliding her bracelet with his, transferring process happened smoothly.

Liu Zhi looked inside his bracelet as a jade white sword appeared there, it was giving of bone chilling, cold energy. Even when it was lying inside his spatial bracelet.

"Wow, it looks good, from now on I will call you…"

"White Rose, don't mess up with her name," Liu Ran interrupted him in the middle.

"Huh, White Rose, what an ordinary name."

Woosh!

Suddenly, an old man carrying a wooden sword appeared behind him, slashing his sword at Liu Zhi's back, which he avoided easily.

The old man didn't stop and gave a few more continuous swings; his movements were quite agile, and each slash was swiftly targeting Liu Zhi's vital organs.

For Liu Zhi, it was nothing more than child's play after thousands of lives and deaths he been through.

"Liu Ran, what are you doing here?"

While Liu Zhi was dealing with his psycho martial art instructor, a tall girl with a busty chest approached Liu Ran, giving her a suffocating hug.

"Let go of me…"

"Oh, my bad."

The girl said apologetically, quickly releasing the tiny girl from her arms.

"Ouch!"

Liu Zhi also took a light hit on his hand to fulfil this old man fetish, giving him a small win as he finally stopped and tried act composed, but his breath and heartbeat were already messed up.

"Liu Zhi, you are still, as usual… easily getting distracted… If you don't become focused… and improve your skill, there is still a chance you won't make it into the top ten."

"Don't look down on other children; there will always be someone better than you." The old man gave him a passionate lecture, Liu Zhi.

"Grandpa, how long are you planning to lecture him? It would be better to start his training." The tall girl intervened.

"Hm, you're right, let's begin today's training."

The old man threw his wooden sword at Liu Zhi, "Show me your sword skills, let me see what is missing."

"Well, you guys continue your training, and I will take a small walk around."

Liu Ran quickly tried to distance herself from there.

Liu Zhi gave her a side glance as he continued with sword swings, going through the hour-long lectures from the old man, who knew nothing about swordsmanship.

Liu Zhi had been swinging his sword in real battle for thousands of years, and here, an old man who hadn't even killed a single demon was teaching him sword art.

After two hours of time waste Liu Zhi and Liu Ran were walking back home. Liu Zhi's spirit was already exhausted by the old man's mental torture.

"Fuck, why the hell did I have to listen to his shit?" Liu Zhi complained sluggishly.

"You don't have to… why don't you show him some real skill? He won't bother you anymore." Liu Ran suggested.

"Nah, you don't know if he saw my real skill, he would definitely collude with our dad to throw me in the front line, in the name of training." Liu Zhi sighed, as he remembered a few years ago when he was showing off his skill and how this old man caught him.

The Old man even convinced his grades-obsessed dad to have a martial arts fetish for him.

"What about I break your legs, then you won't have to come for training every day." Liu Ran said with a sympathetic glance at his legs.

"What! NO…"

Just like this, bickering with each other, they reached home, and both of them started their special class, which their dad had specially arranged for vacation.

"Fuck it, once I leave for college, I won't be coming back," Liu Zhi said, slamming his head on the desk.

He was completely exhausted after 6 hours of continuous lessons; there was no difference between going to school daily and vacation.

He had been through thousands of lifetimes, but he still found these things that are being imposed on him, despite him being already at the top, extremely frustrating.

Liu Ran was playing her games while sitting on his bed, hearing his words, her eyes flickered for a bit before she focused on her game again.
