Chapter 12 - End of Simulation

After finding the little spirit, Liu Zhi and Liu Ran helped her grow from the shadows.

Time was passing like a breeze as the siblings continued to enjoy their lives in this simulation, and also raising a little girl.

This could be considered the sweetest time of their lives; no one was here questioning their decision, unlikely the real world, where they have listened to others, can't simply beat anyone.

The spirit was growing healthily, and her mother had taken good care of her, while the siblings also helped them whenever needed.

As things were going well for them, the world wasn't as peaceful for everyone; werewolves, undead, and vampire already in a war with humans. Making the lives of commoners even more miserable.

Luckily, the spirit was already 15 years old by then, so they ended the simulation right here.

"Finally, getting some fresh air feels really good," Liu Zhi said, stretching his body.

"I am exhausted," Liu Ran said on her brother's bed, while she took his potato chips, which he had hidden at the corner of his bedsheet.

Crunch!

"Hey, Liu Ran, where is that spirit? Why isn't she out?" Liu Zhi suddenly asked, looking for the spirit girl, but she wasn't there.

"What!"

Liu Ran also reacted quickly, as they started to look for the spirit girl, but couldn't find her.

"Could it be she is still in simulation?" Liu Ran questioned her brother.

"No, we ended the simulation together."

"Then…"

Liu Ran took out her jade flute and started playing an otherworldly tune. This music was called Way for Wanders. The music that guides the spirit and souls.

As she started playing the music, Liu Zhi sat in his study chair, watching her play music.

The music she was playing was extremely soothing, as a few ghostly figures started to appear in the room. But most of these ghostly figures were insects, mice, and a few other little creatures' souls.

After a few minutes of flute play, an illusory figure of a girl appeared. Seeing her, Liu Ran stopped playing music, but the music didn't stop as the flute continued to play on its own.

"Hey, why is it still playing?" Liu Zhi asked, watching her flute playing on its own.

"I don't know," Liu Ran shook the flute, but it continued to play on its own.

Slowly, all the spirit girls came closer to the flute, and her hand touched the jade flute, and it was sucked into the flute, and finally, the music stopped, and all other spirits of insects and little creatures faded into the wind.

"What just happened?"

Liu Ran looked, clutching the flute, not knowing how to react. At first, she was planning to refine six pure spirits to unlock some new notes, but Liu Zhi messed up her plan, and now this diluted spirit shouldn't have fused with her flute.

"Maybe it is because of the simulation, or her growing up in a simulation, that would be a reason for this fusion."

Liu Ran was trying to come up with an answer to the current scenario, while Liu Zhi was munching on the remaining chips, watching her play with her flute.

"Huh…"

Liu Zhi poured the remaining tiny pieces of chips into his mouth before throwing the wrapper into the dustbin.

"Finally, time to look at rewards."

Liu Zhi looked into the bronze mirror, and this time, three rewards came into his view.

Liu Ran also peeked into the mirror. As two angles, golden and silver, appeared on the screen, a purple thunder cloud also appeared, which was crackling with lightning.

A huge smile plastered on his lips, as imagine about fusing these three things into an ultimate skill.

While Liu Zhi was daydreaming, Liu Ran tapped in the golden angel, as the golden light shot out from the mirror, illuminating the whole room, and formed a golden cocoon around Liu Ran.

"YOU!"

Liu Zhi could only watch her steal his reward, because the skill set can't be exchanged, like weapons.

Liu Zhi sighed and decided to fuse the silver angel with purple thunder cloud, and a 24-hour countdown began.

In while time, Liu Ran had also returned to normal, with her new transformation skill. As she came out of the golden cocoon, Liu Zhi quickly gave her a heavy smack.

"Auch…"

She rubbed her head a bit and saw him, again raising his hand to hit her. Instead of backing off, she jumped straight at him, trying to teach her elder brother a lesson, only to get a few extra hits.

Smash! Smash!

"Mom… mom…"

As the last option, she started crying for mom to save her.

Hearing her cry, he stopped quickly, and she quickly left his room with a new skill and an evolving flute.

"Fuck, a huge loss," Liu Zhi lay back on his bed while complaining about the loss of the golden angel. It may not be extremely strong, but it space related power should be good.

Liu Zhi was staring at the roof calmly, thinking about his college entrance examination, and finally, he would get some freedom.

Thinking for a while, Liu Zhi put down the bronze mirror, covered himself with a quilt, and took an early nap, exhausted from the simulation. Just like him, Liu Ran had also fallen asleep in her room instantly, her body curled like a snail.
