By the time noon came by, cough had thrown itself into the mix. And now, Jamie felt as wonderful as ever, note the sarcasm.
His health was definitely getting worse.
That was the first thing he thought as he slid into his seat in the lab, his nose had gone from annoying to outright torturous, and his head felt stuffed and full of fog.
He sniffed quietly and opened his notebook, blinking down at the page like it would resolve his misery.
"Hey."
Jamie startled slightly and looked up. It was Evan, he sat two seats away, already set up, and as usual, his sleeves rolled neatly to his elbows and hair combed neatly as well.
Evan always had that kind of energy, put together and always polite.
"Sorry." Evan said quickly, smiling in a way that was more nervous than confident. "Didn't mean to scare you."
"It's fine," Jamie muttered, clearing his throat. "I'm just….tired."
Evan frowned a little, concern evident in his eyes. "You don't look great."
