The Battle Kingdom's calm was shattered before noon. Alarms blared across the capital as a massive, coordinated strike by the remaining Eviler factions erupted. Buildings shook, merchants screamed, and the streets filled with chaos. Eviler operatives, disguised as civilians, had infiltrated the city, and the moment they revealed themselves, destruction rained down.
Kenji and his team were already on high alert. From the palace rooftop, he surveyed the carnage below. Dark flames flickered along his arms—a warning, a readiness.
"They're stronger than I expected," Ryo growled, landing beside him with a crashing thud. Dust flew around him as he scanned the battlefield.
Aiko stood calmly, her eyes narrowing. "They're organized… more than Toki's gang. They've planned this attack meticulously."
Toya, ever cheerful, flexed his arms. "Looks like we've got a full-scale battle today! Let's make it count!"
Kenji's gaze hardened. "Stay sharp. No mistakes."
Below, Eviler agents moved with lethal precision. Some wielded unfamiliar weapons, others exhibited devastating fighting abilities. Kenji knew immediately: this was no ordinary attack—it was a test, a hunt, and a message all at once.
As the first wave reached the palace gates, Kenji leaped into action. Dark fire surged from his fists, scorching the front line of attackers. Ryo charged beside him, smashing through armored Eviler units with Max Bone strength. Aiko's healing magic kept them going, reinforcing wounds almost instantly. Toya formed protective barriers, shielding civilians and his teammates alike.
Even as they fought, Kenji's instincts told him that this was only the beginning. Among the chaos, a figure emerged—one taller, faster, and more imposing than the rest. Eyes glowing with malice, the Eviler's aura radiated power.
Toki's defeat had sparked this counterattack, and the new leader had come to finish what Toki had started.
Kenji's dark flames roared higher as he met the Eviler's gaze. "I won't let you harm anyone!"
The Eviler laughed—a chilling, echoing sound that seemed to pierce the heart. "You defeated my king… now you'll fall like him."
The clash was instantaneous. Kenji moved with the precision and ferocity of a man who had survived countless battles, yet this new enemy pushed him to the limit. Each strike tested his defenses, each counterattack forced him to dig deeper into his reserves.
Ryo, Aiko, and Toya coordinated flawlessly, taking out dozens of Eviler agents, but the enemy's leader was unmatched. Kenji realized that he would have to unlock more of his latent power if he wanted to survive this. His dark flames flared, eyes glowing with the ominous black-red hue that signaled his full awakening.
Yumi, watching from the palace balcony, felt her heart tighten. Fear and admiration mingled—Kenji was pushing himself to the brink, yet he would not back down. She clenched her fists, whispering, "Please… come back safely."
The battle raged on, each second a test of strength, strategy, and willpower. Civilians fled, palace guards struggled, and the Eviler's assault seemed endless. But Kenji and his team were unyielding.
Finally, after a relentless fight, the Eviler leader faltered under Kenji's full-powered assault. The city was left in ruins, but the enemy had been repelled—for now.
Kenji stood amidst the smoke and debris, chest heaving. Ryo, Aiko, and Toya gathered around him, each bruised and battered, yet alive.
Yumi ran to him, her eyes wet with tears. "Kenji… you're incredible."
He nodded silently, a flicker of exhaustion in his gaze, but determination still burning. "This… isn't over. They'll return. And when they do, we'll be ready."
Above the ruined city, the sky darkened ominously. The Eviler's counterattack was just the beginning. The shadows were gathering, and the world's strongest Battler had just become a target for even greater threats.
