The smoke of the battlefield finally cleared, revealing the city scarred but standing. The Eviler forces had been defeated—or at least, scattered for now. Kenji and his team stood atop the palace terrace, surveying the aftermath. Their clothes were torn, bodies bruised, but their spirits burned brighter than ever.
Ryo exhaled heavily. "That… was insane. I've never fought like that before."
Aiko quietly nodded, her eyes still scanning for any hidden threats. "We survived, but the world will not forget this. Eviler factions will regroup."
Toya stretched, smiling. "Well, at least we didn't lose anyone this time… except a few buildings."
Kenji remained silent, gaze fixed on the horizon. His dark flames had receded, leaving only a faint glow around his body. He had pushed himself to his absolute limit and discovered new depths of his power.
Yumi approached him cautiously, her hands trembling. "Kenji… are you alright?"
He turned, giving her a small, tired smile. "I'm fine. But this is only the beginning. They won't stop here."
News of Kenji's victory spread across the Battle Kingdom. King Itsuki Imoja personally commended him and his team, praising their courage and skill. Reports arrived from international Battler organizations, recognizing Kenji's performance in defeating not only the Eviler leader but countless S-Rank and V-Rank Battlers aligned with him.
The Battler Organization and Battle Kingdom officials convened, awarding Kenji an iv Rank 8, officially acknowledging his rise to V-Rank power levels. His teammates were also honored, each gaining recognition for their contributions during the battle.
As evening fell, Yumi quietly approached Kenji again. Her heart had grown heavier with unspoken feelings, admiration, and affection. She knew she could no longer hide the truth—her feelings for him had grown beyond friendship.
But Kenji, ever focused on the bigger picture, barely noticed her gaze. His mind was already on the threats that would come next, the Eviler remnants, and the growing shadow looming over the world.
