Chapter 59 - Chapter 9: Chains of Blood and Currency

Battler season 3 chapter 9

Battler chapter 59

Battler: - Kingdom Of Battlers

Battler Season 3

The Battle Kingdom revealed its true face the very next day.

Kenji and his team were escorted—not as guests, not as prisoners—but as assets under evaluation.

Massive screens lit up across the central district.

A public announcement.

"By decree of the Crown Council—

the Battle Kingdom Ranking and Currency System is now disclosed to all foreign Battlers."

Crowds gathered.

Merchants paused.

Guild leaders watched carefully.

Hidden Evilers listened from the shadows.

A holographic emblem appeared.

BC — Battle Currency

Aiko read aloud softly.

"BC isn't just money… it's proof of contribution."

Toya frowned.

"So strength equals income?"

A royal official explained coldly,

"Battles, missions, executions, royal service—

everything is measured in BC."

Ryo clenched his fist.

"So lives are converted into numbers."

Kenji stayed silent.

The display continued.

Battler Rank determines legal value.

Higher Rank = Higher Authority.

Lower Rank = Disposable.

Yumi stood beside her father, her expression unreadable.

But inside—

She hated it.

Kenji noticed.

Later, inside a restricted hall, Chairman Daku finally spoke.

"The Kingdom survives because of this system," he said calmly.

"But it rots from within."

Royal General Kim crossed his arms.

"Careful, Chairman."

Daku smiled.

"I am."

He turned to Kenji.

"You have power. Enough to disrupt balance."

Kenji replied,

"I don't want balance. I want fairness."

Kim laughed quietly.

"Fairness doesn't protect kingdoms."

Kenji met his gaze.

"Neither does fear."

For a brief moment—

Karma pressure flared.

Then King Itsuki raised his hand again.

"Enough."

His eyes locked onto Kenji.

"You will be tested further," the king said.

"Not by trial… but by duty."

A single document was thrown forward.

Forced Royal Mission.

Ryo read it—and froze.

"Target… illegal Eviler trade zone?"

Aiko whispered,

"This is a trap."

Kenji nodded.

"I know."

He signed anyway.

That night—

Kenji stood alone on the balcony.

The Battle Kingdom glittered below—beautiful, cruel, alive.

Yumi approached quietly.

"You shouldn't have accepted," she said softly.

Kenji didn't turn.

"If I didn't," he replied,

"they'd tighten the chains another way."

She hesitated.

"…You're different from the others."

Kenji finally looked at her.

"So are you."

Their eyes met.

Unspoken tension hung between them.

Then—

Far away—

A warehouse burned silently.

Bodies fell.

And someone watched from the shadows, smiling.
