Before the sun fully rose, new lines were added to Truck City's circulation map.
This was not a runway that ended on a stage. It began at the central plaza, cut through the food truck zone, passed between residential house-trucks,brushed past the medical truck, and returned to the main stage in a complete loop.
The city itself became one vast stage.
Park Haeyoon finished the final check and said quietly,"This isn't a fashion show. It's people walking across the structure they live on."
No carpet was laid on the ground.
Concrete. Steel plates. Truck ramps. Container joints—the city's original surfaces became the runway.
A GUCCI staff member hesitated and asked,"Will high heels be… okay?"
Yoo Hajin shook his head.
"No heels today.Today, we wear only the shoes this city allows."
The models stepped into the city wearingtruckers' boots, work shoes, and safety footwear—reinterpreted through GUCCI's design language.
The City Runway — Walking on Life
As the first model passed through the food truck zone, flames from the grills burst upward like stage lighting.
The audience was intentionally not separated.
Hands pouring coffee, workers pausing their welding, residents standing with children in their arms—all of them werespectators, scenery, and part of the show itself.
Between the house-trucks,sunlight reflected off solar panels, wrapping the models in light.
"That's… the city's skin,"Alessandro Machino said softly."Not buildings—the traces of people's lives are what create the light."
When the models passed the medical truck,Song Jaemin stood quietly.
A jacket draped over his surgical scrubs.
At that moment, the GUCCI camera deliberately did not zoom in on him.
Instead, it captured the words written behind him:
DR. MEDICAL TRUCK – ON CALL
Within the fashion show, the phrase "a life always on standby"passed by without explanation.
Return to the Main Stage
As the models returned, the trailer stage slowly began to rotate.
Each step on the metal floor produced a low echo, and the lighting swept upward like industrial work lamps.
Some looked like they were walking a runway.Others looked like they were walking a job site.
Watching from above, Doyoon muttered quietly,
"…This is seriously world-class.Is this really our city?"
Even though it was only a rehearsal, the scene was already being livestreamed.
Social media exploded instantly.
#TruckCityFashionShow — No.1 Trending#GUCCIinKorea — No.2#YooHajinDesigner — Rapidly rising at No.3
"If the rehearsal is like this, what will the real show be?""The whole city is the runway."
Views surged past millions—before any official announcement had even been made.
Blue spectrum lighting swept across the city once more.
Within that light,3,100 house-trucks,renewable energy systems,circular water infrastructure,and fire-resistant safety design—
It became clear, without explanation, that this was not a display set,but a fully functioning, living advanced city.
Alessandro spoke one last time.
"Today, GUCCI didn't show clothes. We showed how a city itself can be beautiful."
Yoo Hajin's Secret — Son of Korea's Greatest Designer
The night before the festival,Doyoon called Hajin into a backstage container.
"Hajin," he said carefully."Your father contacted us. He's coming tomorrow."
Hajin couldn't speak right away.Lighting test sounds echoed in the distance.
"…I know."
He took a breath.
"I tried to hide it.I was afraid people would saythis wasn't me—that it was because of him."
His father, Yoo Seon.A living legend in Korean fashion.A name that defined an era's silhouettes and colors.
Doyoon said nothing, only rested a hand on Hajin's shoulder.
"Your skill is the wings.Your father is just the wind."
Hajin lowered his head and smiled faintly.
"Still…I think he'll want to see the finale."
Yoo Seon was not on the official guest list.No interviews. No seat. No introduction.
He would arrive quietly at Truck Cityjust before the final moment.
To watch, from the back of the audience,in silence—
the runway his son builton top of an entire city.
