Chapter 19 – The Fall into Darkness
Our story begins exactly where the previous chapter ended.
After fighting continuously, Navi was completely exhausted.
His breathing had grown heavy, his muscles were trembling…
and then—
An even more powerful monster descended onto the battlefield.
Its mere presence was overwhelming.
The air became heavy.
The ground itself seemed to scream.
Navi realized—
"If I don't do it now… there won't be another chance."
He gathered every last bit of his remaining power into a single punch.
No technique.
No defense.
Just everything in one strike.
BOOOOOOM—!!!
Navi slammed his punch straight into the ground.
A terrifying explosion erupted.
The entire earth shook violently.
The ground began to裂 apart…
Smoke covered everything.
The monsters froze in shock.
Before their eyes—
Navi disappeared.
Neither the man…
nor the sword was there anymore.
"Where… did he go?"
The monsters looked at each other in panic.
Navi – Somewhere Far Away
Meanwhile, Navi had already moved far away.
He stopped while running and looked at his sword.
Crack… crack…
Cracks were spreading across the weapon.
"No…"
Navi immediately summoned the system window.
"System, store the weapon!"
System:
"Yes, Master. The weapon is being stored in personal space."
"Heal it quickly!"
Navi shouted while running.
And then—
At the place where Navi had struck the ground,
a massive crater had formed.
That crater slowly began turning into a deep chasm.
The earth had split into two massive parts.
Seeing this, the monsters began to tremble.
Monster Commander Appears
From among the monsters, an X-Rank Commander stepped forward.
"Find that human."
Beside him stood an X-Rank wolf-type monster.
Without hesitation—
it killed one of its own allies in a single attack.
Blood spilled.
"Anyone who fails… will meet the same fate."
Its wolf aura was so terrifying
that even SSS-Rank monsters couldn't stand upright.
Terrified, the monsters scattered and began searching in all directions.
The Fall
The scene returns to Navi.
The chasm he himself had created—
he was now falling into it.
His body spun through the air—
slamming into one rock,
then another.
As he continued falling downward…
his white armor slowly began to disappear.
His body was already severely injured.
Hours passed…
And finally—
CRASH—
Navi slammed straight into the ground.
Darkness surrounded everything.
He lost consciousness.
The ring could no longer heal him after sustaining such damage.
After a Long Time…
After a long while…
Navi regained consciousness.
He slowly opened his eyes.
"Ahhh…"
Unbearable pain surged through his entire body.
He couldn't even move.
"What happened to me…?"
"I was underwater…"
"Why is it so dark here…?"
Above him—
the monsters were still searching.
They scanned the entire earth…
but couldn't find Navi.
Eventually, all the monsters gathered together.
"Commander…
we found neither the human…
nor the weapon."
The wolf roared in fury.
The pressure made it hard for the monsters to even breathe.
"Where did that human go?!"
"He didn't escape the Earth, did he?!"
One monster said fearfully:
"Master… Earth is still under a shield.
No one can leave until it breaks."
The wolf ground its teeth.
"Then where did that mere human go?"
"What answer will we give to the King?!"
"If we fail… he'll kill me too!"
Another trembling monster spoke up:
"Could it be… that he's hiding inside the chasm?"
"I'll go."
"You all come with me."
"One monster will stay above to maintain the shield."
With that, all the monsters jumped into the dark chasm.
They weren't injured.
Even in the darkness, they could see clearly.
Navi's Last Hope
The scene returns to Navi.
He was still lying motionless on the ground.
His body refused to respond.
He summoned the system window.
"System… heal me."
"I can sense an extremely powerful monster aura."
"What about the weapon?"
Navi asked.
System:
"The weapon is currently stable,
but cracks have formed.
It can no longer fight."
Navi was shocked.
"Then heal me…"
"I'll have to use the ring's power…"
He felt incredibly weak.
Then the system spoke:
"Master… we can't give up."
"We still have to return home."
A faint light appeared in Navi's eyes.
"Yes…"
"I can't give up."
"I can't stay here forever."
Slowly, he managed to move his hand.
A drop of blood fell onto the ring—
to activate it.
…
…
…
The ring did not activate.
Navi's eyes widened in shock.
And with that—
