Chapter 22 – The Awakening
The story begins exactly where the previous chapter ended.
Cracks were spreading rapidly across the MC's body.
With every breath, the pain grew deeper.
His body had already crossed its limit.
The MC immediately summoned the System Window.
MC (breathing heavily):
"Ring… heal me from the inside."
Without hesitation, the Ring responded.
Its light flowed into the MC's body,
activating the healing process.
The scene shifts to the Wolf Monster.
The Wolf smiles slightly and speaks—
Wolf Monster:
"I admit it…
you are a powerful opponent.
It's been a long time since I enjoyed a fight this much."
His eyes gleam with excitement.
Wolf:
"You know this, right?
I'm stronger than you.
So why do you still want to fight me?"
The MC looks at him calmly.
MC:
"Fight me… and you'll find out."
The Wolf laughs.
Wolf:
"Looks like I'll have to get a little serious now.
Honestly… I'm getting excited too."
Both move toward each other—
ready to attack.
The moment their punches collide,
a massive explosion erupts.
BOOOOM—!
The shockwave is so violent that both are thrown back by their own power.
While fighting, the Wolf speaks again—
Wolf:
"This is really fun!"
The MC smiles despite the pain.
MC:
"I've been waiting for a fight like this.
You're a worthy opponent."
Sometimes the Wolf punches, sending the MC flying.
Sometimes the MC counters, throwing the Wolf to the ground.
The battle is perfectly balanced.
With every clash,
huge explosions tear through the surroundings.
Everything around them is being destroyed.
Neither of them stops.
They fight like madmen.
Suddenly—
The MC gathers all his strength into one punch
and strikes the Wolf straight in the face.
CRACK—!
The Wolf's jaw shatters.
Blood spills from his mouth.
At that moment…
the Wolf's rage explodes.
The Wolf rips a massive chunk of earth from the ground
and hurls it at the MC.
The MC smashes it into pieces with his bare hands.
But in the same instant—
The Wolf lands a brutal punch.
The MC is sent flying, crashing down
several kilometers away.
His condition worsens.
His body struggles to handle the power flowing through it.
The Wolf speaks coldly—
Wolf:
"I haven't even used my full power yet.
This is only 40%."
Then he smirks.
Wolf:
"You still have time.
Your power has impressed me.
Give me that weapon…
and I'll let you live."
The MC slowly stands up.
MC:
"You haven't seen…
my true power yet."
The Wolf laughs.
Wolf:
"Oh?
Then show me.
What do you even have left now?"
Inside the Ring
Inside the Ring,
the cracks on the Red Statue grow even deeper.
Suddenly—
An unknown voice echoes within the System Window.
The System panics.
System:
"Who are you?!"
The voice is calm, yet heavy.
Voice:
"Who I am…
is not important."
Voice:
"What matters is that your master
is in grave danger."
The System grows more anxious.
Voice:
"His body has reached its absolute limit.
It could shatter at any moment."
Voice:
"If you want to save him…
you can act on your own."
System:
"Tell me quickly—
what do I have to do?"
Voice:
"Transfer your energy
into the Yellow Statue."
System:
"What will that do?"
Voice:
"You'll see."
After a brief hesitation,
the System transfers a small portion of its energy
into the Yellow Statue.
Back to the Battlefield
Suddenly—
A yellow aura begins to wrap around the MC's body.
His body starts glowing.
A crazy smile spreads across his face.
The cracks across his body
begin to close—one by one.
His power…
rises again.
And with that,
Chapter 22 comes to an end.
