"Thank you," I murmur to James, my gaze fixed on the television screen. When the local news cuts to a commercial break, I quickly flip to another channel. "This oil disaster keeps getting worse."
"They typically do," James responds, still clutching the plate he prepared for me.
For days now, ever since that oil tanker broke down, I've been practically glued to this couch, scanning every news report for signs that the Horsemen might be involved. I'm not entirely sure what evidence I'm searching for, but the consequences are already devastating. Local fishermen can't work in the contaminated waters, and the small coastal community that depends on their catch is struggling to survive.
"Unfortunately, catastrophes like this occur without any supernatural interference. Human negligence has wreaked more environmental havoc than the Horsemen could ever manage."
