Nora's POV
James presses me back against the cool marble counter, his hands sliding my leggings down with urgent precision. The moment he drops to his knees, positioning himself between my thighs, heat floods through my entire body. I prop myself up on my elbows, desperate to watch him work his magic, when movement outside catches my attention. One of the construction workers in our backyard has stopped hammering. He's shading his eyes against the afternoon sun, and from this angle, it looks like he's staring directly through our kitchen window.
