Chapter 129 - Chapter 130 Evolve, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!

"Sorry, this is classified!" Nick Fury shook his head and continued, "Actually, I came to ask if you have any way to contact each other?"

Skye didn't answer Fury's question, but frowned and asked, "He went to help you, right?"

Nick Fury glanced at Skye in surprise, but nodded in acknowledgment.

"So, you're the ones who made him disappear? He even left Earth!"

Skye looked at Nick Fury angrily. Judging from her previous words, they couldn't contact Finney either.

  "Where did you find out!?"

Now it was Nick Fury's turn to be unsettled. He frowned and asked. The base's security had been increased to the point where even mosquitoes had difficulty getting in and out. If the news could still leak out under such circumstances, he would have nothing to say.

But Skye's appearance clearly didn't suggest this.

Could she be the reason Finney knew so much information!?

Nick Fury couldn't help but become suspicious and carefully examined Skye.

Immediately, Nick Fury considered another possibility. Staring at Skye's face, he asked, "You know about his situation. Have you been in contact?"

Skye turned her head angrily, not answering, but this was enough for Nick Fury to know the answer.

  "He's still alive!?"

Nick Fury was somewhat pleased. Although he couldn't control Finney, judging from his current personality and behavior, he was definitely beneficial to Earth.

He was somewhat glad he had come to Skye; the two of them indeed had a special way of communicating.

"Where is he now? We'll go rescue him!"

Nick Fury said to Skye in a deep voice.

"I don't know, I only know he's on a very distant alien planet." Skye shook her head. The Ancient One hadn't told her which planet it was, but whichever it was, it was extremely far away to her.

  "How did you contact him?"

Nick Fury asked again, mentally adding another ability to Finney's list: interplanetary communication.

  "We haven't contacted each other!"

Skye continued to shake her head.

Hearing this, Nick Fury couldn't help but frown, advising, "Please believe me, Miss Helsinger, I want him back more than you do." Nick Fury

meant it sincerely. If Finney returned, he wouldn't have to agonize over whether to ask Banner for help, saving a huge amount of security funding.

"I really haven't contacted him. He just told me he'd be back and asked me to ask for leave from school."

Nick Fury, who had been observing Skye's micro-expressions, was somewhat surprised. He could tell Skye wasn't lying, which made things a little strange.

  "How did he contact you?"

  "Sorry, no comment!"

Skye certainly wouldn't reveal the Ancient One's existence. She knew the rules of Kamar-Taj; she wasn't that foolish to tell an agent.

For a fleeting moment, Nick Fury considered arresting and interrogating Skye, but quickly dismissed the idea.

Although Finney wasn't currently there, Skye's accurate description of his location on another planet suggested that even without direct contact, Skye might still have a backup plan left by Finney.

  "When will he be back?"

Nick Fury asked. Regardless, the gains from this trip had already far exceeded expectations.

Skye hesitated for a moment before truthfully replying, "Probably in six months!"

  "Six months!?"

Nick Fury didn't understand the significance of this timeframe, and unfortunately, Skye didn't either.

"Thank you very much for informing me, Miss Helssey. If you encounter any difficulties, or if you have any news about him, you can call me."

Nick Fury left a business card with his phone number. Hidden on the card was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most advanced listening device. Although he didn't intend to do anything to Skye for the time being, with Finney not around, he couldn't resist wanting to find out more.

Unfortunately, Nick Fury didn't know that Skye wasn't an ordinary person. If the card had been given to Finney, she might not have noticed anything.

But he gave it to Skye, whose shockwave ability allowed her to sense vibrations in objects. She detected the anomaly almost immediately upon receiving the card.

  "I understand."

Skye calmly accepted the card. She was willing to tell Nick Fury so much in the hopes that he would hesitate to act rashly. Without Finney's protection, she needed to grow stronger.

After Nick Fury left, Skye immediately used her ability to thoroughly search the house and, sure enough, found another listening device hidden in a corner.

Skye had never seen Nick Fury go to this place, and she didn't know how he managed to get in.

Nick Fury's appearance made Skye miss Finney even more.

  ...

"What do you think it will become?"

Finney, meanwhile, was looking expectantly at the glowing blue-eyed white dragon and asked Red Skull beside her.

After ten days of feeding, the blue-eyed white dragon had finally completed its two-star evolution and was currently evolving.

The evolution time was short, even very short. Before Finney could even answer, the blue-eyed white dragon had already completed its evolution.

"It doesn't seem to have changed much."

Looking at the two-star blue-eyed white dragon in front of him, Red Skull replied, "But it's gotten quite a bit bigger."

  "Hmm!"

Finney responded, carefully observing the evolved blue-eyed white dragon. Just as Red Skull had said, its size was noticeably larger than before.

If it was only the size of a car before, it was now at least a medium-sized truck.

Its scales were also whiter, and although its eyes still lacked spirit, they were more expressive than before.

  "Can it speak?"

Finney asked, approaching the evolved Blue-Eyes White Dragon. His greatest hope was that the dragon would possess intelligence.

  "Roar!"

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared as usual, its tone ambiguous, neither clearly indicating 'yes' nor 'no.' Finney sometimes wondered if translators on other planets could translate dragon language.

After a simple test, Finney discovered that the two-star Blue-Eyes White Dragon hadn't changed much. Aside from significant physical enhancements, no new skills had appeared.

Although slightly disappointed, Finney wasn't too concerned. It was only two-star; the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in the anime was at least a seven or eight-star card, so its evolution potential should be at least seven stars.

Finally, Finney wanted to test the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's most important ability:

  energy absorption.

Finney hesitated before unleashing the Soul Gem, believing that a two-star Blue-Eyes White Dragon wouldn't be able to withstand its energy.

His main purpose was to see if the dragon's absorption had improved along with its evolution.

Luckily, when I went to S.H.I.E.L.D., I was worried about leaving the small arc reactor at home, so I brought it with me, and it was teleported here as well.

"Here, try some more of the new dragon food!"

Finney said, tossing the small arc reactor into the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's mouth.
