Chapter 130 - Chapter 131 Long Live Hydra!

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon opened its massive maw and swallowed the miniature Arc Reactor whole.

Finney watched nervously, and a few seconds later, a surge of joy filled him. At this time last time, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon had already spat out the miniature Arc Reactor.

Seeing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon finally swallow the miniature Arc Reactor, Finney excitedly waved his hand.

What was truly gratifying wasn't that the Blue-Eyes White Dragon had eaten the miniature Arc Reactor, but rather that absorbing energy would lead to evolution, meaning that swallowing the Infinity Stones wasn't a dream.

Looking at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, who seemed stuffed after eating just one reactor, Finney deactivated the summon.

Retrieving the card, the third star faintly appearing on it filled Finney with delight. Although he wasn't on Earth now and couldn't ask Tony for more miniature Arc Reactors, he had still thoroughly researched it before feeding it to Tony.

The Golden Grand Evolution Technique was magic that altered reality according to one's thoughts. In theory, as long as his thoughts were clear and accurate enough, even creating a miniature Arc Reactor wouldn't be a problem.

Although he had attended university, his knowledge was clearly still far behind Tony's.

Creating a small-scale arc reactor was impossible for him, but creating one solely for the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's food supply was still a possibility.

However, operating it would be extremely difficult.

  ...

Time flew by, and three months passed. Fini found his days on Vormir more than just boring; every day consisted of fighting and seeing Red Skull's dry, wrinkled face.

At this point, Fini felt that even if Billy appeared before him, he'd probably mistake him for a handsome man.

During this time, the Ancient One came again, attempting a spell to bring Fini back, but unfortunately, it failed, almost sending him adrift into space.

Fortunately, he managed to create oxygen around him using the Golden Grand Evolution Technique, and with the freezing resistance from 'Possessed by Evil Spirits,' he was able to fly back unharmed.

This accident made both the Ancient One and Finney hesitant to try it again.

Because of this incident, Finney even summoned the Soul Stone to ask if there would be any danger during teleportation, which reassured him somewhat.

"Tell me, why don't any aliens come to this godforsaken place?"

On the edge of the altar cliff, lying on a sofa created using the Golden Grand Evolution Technique, Finney asked Red Skull with a bored expression.

"That's the seventh time you've asked,"

Red Skull replied, also lying on a sofa beside him. After three months, Red Skull had become quite familiar with Finney; after all, they were the only two on this huge planet, so it was hard not to get to know each other.

"If you're bored, you can answer seven times too!"

Finney said lazily. He was actually just looking for something to talk about to prevent his language skills from deteriorating.

"Because this is almost the most remote corner of the universe, very few people can find it."

Red Skull answered for the seventh time, because he was equally bored. After the Soul Gem gave him a physical form, he also lost the ability to sleep, and he had plenty of time to do nothing besides fighting.

  "Sigh!"

  "Sigh!"

Gazing at the beautiful scenery in the distance, the man and the soul sighed in unison, their faces full of melancholy.

Although life was monotonous and somewhat torturous, Finney's gains were considerable. After three months of hard work, his experience bar had almost grown by more than half.

This could be said to be the fastest experience growth he had ever experienced since obtaining the system.

"Speaking of which, it's February on Earth now, isn't it?"

Finney gazed at the distant scenery, his thoughts drifting back to Earth. He wondered if Skye could find a good excuse to appease his parents, whether Billy would come looking for him, whether the Hulk would think of him, whether Tony had built the Mark 7, and whether Banner's Hulkbuster armor had succeeded.

Perhaps Finney's thoughts were too chaotic; the sofa created by the Golden Grand Evolution Technique suddenly vanished, and the two sat down on the ground.

Feeling the cold ground, Finney snapped out of his reverie, too lazy to recreate it. He looked at the bewildered Red Skull beside him and said, "Rest time over, let's fight!"

Red Skull's expression changed. Seeing Finney preparing to fly straight to the battlefield, he quickly stopped him, "Wait!"

"We've been fighting for three months, and I've never won. Is this really meaningful to you?"

Saying this about the battle's outcome made Red Skull's face flush slightly, though his face was already incredibly red. He simply didn't understand the point of Finney's actions.

"Of course! Haven't you seen how much my combat skills have improved?"

Finney answered matter-of-factly. Aside from the experience he gained from Red Skull, he had indeed learned many combat techniques, taking another step forward on the path of a knight.

  "But…"

Red Skull wanted to say, it had been three months, and he had learned almost everything he needed to; he didn't want to keep getting beaten up.

"I made a promise with the Soul Gem. While I'm here, you have to follow my instructions,"

Finney said, glancing at Red Skull. Actually, from their conversation, he knew that the Soul Gem had never actually communicated with Red Skull; in fact, the idea that the gem possessed intelligence was just Red Skull's own conjecture.

Red Skull remained silent. Sometimes he felt that perhaps dying back then would have been better.

"Alright, don't be like that. Haven't you improved quite a bit during this time?"

Finney didn't want Red Skull to fight passively. He didn't have much experience to begin with; if he couldn't unleash his full power, he would gain even less.

"Alright, I agree to join Hydra and become its leader, but you have to fight alongside me, okay?"

Finney thought for a moment and decided to give Red Skull a promise.

  "Really?"

Red Skull was a little surprised. In the past few months, he had repeatedly touted the benefits of joining Hydra to Finney, but Finney either changed the subject or impatiently refused.

"Come on, come on, I'll record a video as proof."

Finney took out his phone, turned on video mode, created a camera stand using the Golden Grand Magic, set it up, and pulled Red Skull to the front of the camera.

"I, Finney Hellscythe, today, witnessed by John Schmidt, have decided to join Hydra! Long live Hydra!"

As he spoke, Finney raised his arm and shouted a slogan.

Red Skull was a little stunned. Although he suspected that Finney was just placating him, seeing this scene, he still had a sliver of hope that it was true.

"I, John Schmidt, as the leader of Hydra, welcome you to the organization and hereby declare you the new leader!"

Red Skull ultimately cooperated with Finney, fulfilling his own wish by handing over the leadership. He understood that even if Finney hadn't done this, he ultimately couldn't refuse Finney's reque; after all, he was now merely a servant of the gems.
