Chapter 16 - FAITH OPTIONS

Derek stood at the corner of the living room emmiting off a light shadow.

His gun was now held by two hands and sweat fell off his palms.

Favour stood back in silence.

Not a word.

Williams began strolling from side to side.

He looked furious and didn't even glance back at the worrying face of Victoria and his family.

It became clear that Arnold earlier hypothesis had been proved wrong.

Williams hated using his powers, but went crazy whenever it came to his family.

A feet that could be witnessed again.

Arnold took the first move.

He focused on the gun on Derek's hand and used his telekinesis ability to pull it straight out of his hands.

Although Derek put up a struggle, he was no match for Williams abilities.

"Holy Shit", Derek then screamed as he witnessed a desk fly straight at him, luckily he was able to dodge just in time.

Victoria was stunned by the scenes watching from behind the curtain of the living room.

Arnold just stood stationed to the spot rained in silence.

"Well, it means dad did the break in", Arnold turned around to face Victoria stating that with true conviction.

Victoria nodded in disbelief.

She couldn't tell whether it would be true or false.

The thought of her husband trying to murder an innocent police officer made the point quite clear.

Arnold concurred.

Victoria couldn't hold back and watched as a river of tears flowed down.

Unthinkable news about a man who she thought she knew.

Victoria backed away still close enough to witness what was happening.

Arnold stepped closer trying to comfort her.

Bang

A huge noise sounded from inside the living room making everyone to hault.

"That sounded like shattering glass", Arnold mentioned as he went off running.

The scene was unthinkable.

Derek on the floor with blood rushed out from his head.

The glass table that stood at the centre of the room completely shattered.

Williams dark blue light grew ever brighter.

Ever more emminent to the eyes.

Williams breath heavily, his shoulders raised.

Sweat flowing down, a string of blood dwelling from his leg and head.

"This is unthinkable", Victoria stepped up and shouted at Williams who still looked capable of wiping out the entire city.

Williams retorted with a slap, the five marks clearly shown on the cheeks of Victoria.

At that moment, Williams didn't feel like a husband, he felt like a kidnapper.

Victoria groaned, knowing her limits.

Her capability hadn't reached to begin to compete with Williams.

She slowly grabbed her suitcase and Favour, and stepped over the lifeless body of Derek.

It was unsettling to think that a lifeless body would be left in their house before they left.

As Williams left the house and strolled ever closer to the car, Derek began movement.

It was impossible to believe that.

Blood gushed out his head and bruises filled his body.

He grabbed out his walkie talkie.

He raised the antenna and began talking.

"The Art User Williams is wanted for attempted murder on me.

Pls seize him immediately.

He attempts to leave the city, you can't let him e... escape", Derek said struggling.

The family didn't react knowing fully well that Williams was clearly at fault.

They all just walked away and stepped outside.

Victoria's gaze immediately caught sight of Williams figure standing outside the car, the light still not dimmed.

The entire family froze in fear.

Utter devastation.

The gaze of Williams was unerasable as a person. The actions done, same.

Williams finally rose up and got in the car.

His family urged to do the same.

Arnold still kept a cold face although he was absolutely devastated.

His dad, who he loved, has ended up badly injuring someone without consent.

He couldn't bare to see his father like that.

Derek finally gained enough strength to get up to his knees due to the help of the rough wall beside him.

Blood still streamed down his face.

His consciousness outspoken.

He knew that the police would soon be on the case and he just had to be patient.

He went back on the floor, eyes shut.

"I should never have come here to put myself into this.

That man should surely get arrested!", Derek yelled in his thoughts still laid on the floor.

It didn't take long for him to hear the starting of a car just outside the building which then set the stage for the drive-off.

Destination unknown.

It had been quite a while since Victoria used her powers.

She felt might she might be getting a bit rusty.

Although a glimmer of blue still glimmered in the car as Victoria began to feel uneasy about staying next to Williams.

They drove in complete silence.

Finally, a word of parity.

"So, how you guys doing?", Williams questioned the family at the back, his blue light completely dimmed.

Arnold expression changed.

Williams looked calmer, more fragile and like the loving father he desired.

He froze, so did Victoria.

"Honey are you okay", Victoria then questioned Williams who still kept his eyes on the road.

Williams nodded. "Why".

Neither Victoria nor Arnold could say anything.

The sudden rampage of Williams and the power he possessed in the city meant to be grateful when given the opportunity.

Williams expression began to change. He looked up staring at the windscreen mirror, directly on the crimson-red eyes of Arnold.

Williams began to feel confused.

Confused enough that it began to feel possible that he had forgotten everything that had happened.

He did feel as though something was terribly wrong.

The faint sound of police vans made the case more clear.

Williams began to worry.

His hands trembled on the wheels as the van began to ski of the road.

"Honey, stay on the wheel", Victoria then yelled at Williams was she watched the car go ofcourse.

Finally, Williams was stable on the wheel although the police sirens began to get louder and louder.

Derek, on the other hand, was now fuming at what Williams had done and regarded that he be persecuted on first sighted.

He planned on taking the news to Raphael who would issue a persecution arrest on Williams.

"Possibly any methods possible to catch him", Derek talked at himself as he still laid motionless on the carpet.

Williams still drove on the road.

Eyes fixed, conscious not.

He still thought of where they were going to.

How they were going to get to that place, and most importantly, what truly happened at their home.

Truly for him, no one in the car was worthy to give a willing supply.

Williams hissed, glancing back at his family.

He felt like his actions were beginning to get a bit out of hand.

Although he did not know what happened in the house to full extent, his families reactions told the story.

He began to wonder what was truly happening to him and how he could handle the situations ahead.

It didn't take long before William's daze was cut off by a loud 'Bang' at the back of the purple-white painted van.

Everyone's gaze shifted to behind them.

It wasn't clear to see, but the blue and red lights that flashed behind them were practically unmissable.
