Everyone in the car panicked.
Police trailed behind to the eyes of everyone.
"Only one car behind us", Victoria screed from behind the car to Williams who freaked out on the wheel.
The family still didn't seem happy.
Their current situation and the unnecessary actions of Williams towards Derek were holding them back.
None of them felt safe staying next to Williams.
A bumb caused everyone to look behind them once more.
In a few minutes, the car behind them bumbed into them several more times trying to urge them to stop.
It didn't work.
Instead, Williams pushed the pedal while on the wheel.
He tried to lose the cop on their tail by going into swirvs while on the road.
Williams still looked confused while on the wheel.
His face turned and a surge of fury began to burn through his veins.
The police chasing him began to get annoying in the eyes of Williams especially due to the fact that he still could not tell why he was being chased down.
Based on what his family had said, he couldn't dare to slow down.
He felt like that would lead to immediate arrest.
Williams still couldn't wrap his head around where they were going to.
He just drove faster and faster with red and blue lights storming through as the sun set.
Vehicles parted way watching the two vehicles go on a highway car chase.
Some even brought out phones and began filming.
"Look at what you've done!", Victoria yelled at Williams, not minding the consequences.
Williams couldn't dare to retaliate.
He kept his eye on the road with a distinct hiss.
A slight moment of silence was cut short by another siren heard sounding at a large distance.
The family groaned.
They found it difficult to handle a single police car talk less of two.
Williams knew that they needed to get off the vehicle and find a place to hide.
He couldn't do that with the police hardly on their tale.
He just kept driving, keeping his gaze on the highway as the sun set.
In the home of Williams' that was kept abandoned still laid Derek.
No strength to move a muscle.
He just laid there with eyes wide open waiting for help which to him, never arrived.
He still had no idea what happened outside the home.
"Did they not hear my distress signal?!", Derek told himself with tears flowing down as he struggled in pain.
Derek was caught unaware when a stream of officers burst into the house.
"You okay", one of the officers asked Derek who laid on the floor.
Derek groaned, blood still streaming down his eyes.
"Get him a medic. Put him in the van".
Derek was forced up by one of the officers.
It was unbelievable to think that Derek had been so badly beaten by an Art User during questioning.
None of the officers could believe the injuries circling the body of Derek.
"No one home", the scouting officer returned after securing that no one was in the house.
Derek was slowly carried into the van and immediately rushed to the hospital.
It became clear that Williams was the cause of the break-in and the attempted murderer.
He had to be put a stop to.
Things were getting out of hand.
Derek was led into the red mini van and sped off to an emergency centre.
Williams still sped on the wheel trying to pull off the officers behind him.
He went from left to right but the officers still didn't shake.
Favour at the back began sobbing.
Victoria looked disturbed.
Arnold occasionally looked out the window witnessing the scene.
Boom Boom
Two series of explosions made everyone to turn their gazes behind the car once more.
It was unbelievable to see.
A police car sumersaulted into the air with fire burning inside it.
Out of nowhere, a police car explosion just sprung up.
The two cars that chased them had now reduced to one.
Williams slowed down.
The other car completely stopped.
The police man came out of his car and rushed to check out the explosion.
It was sudden and unpredictable.
The fire burned behind Williams' car, heating up the vehicle.
Williams didn't stop and wait.
He picked up the pace and continued driving.
The explosion still disturbed Arnold.
He raised his head over the window frame once he noticed the navy blue light spurry through the bushes.
"This was done by an Art User, but why?", Arnold thought to himself after witnessing the light.
The fire from the car still in visual.
It took about two minutes before everyone breath a sigh of relief.
"What the hell happened", Williams screamed at the front of the car.
No one could answer.
Victoria, still terrified and trying to calm down Favour.
The drive continued as the car sped through the highway.
All the news stations now centred around the sudden explosion and Williams getting away.
All eyes turned to Williams.
"He did it somehow", most people said still scratching behind their heads on how this happened.
The family didn't consider the odds.
It just set the scene for an easy getaway.
In a flurry, red and blue lights swarmed again.
Beside the window of Williams then drove a bike.
The weaponry, clothing and red and blue light that showed from the bike proved that he was a police officer.
Williams froze.
The family worried.
The police officer then slowly began hitting the bike against the car.
"I've found them. Track road 62", the officer then radio to the rest of the crew.
In a matter of seconds, the car was surrounded.
No way to accelerate, no way to decelerate.
Worry began to show even on the eyes of Arnold.
He wasn't ready to go to prison.
He certainly didn't have time to face problems caused by his father.
His father was just as worried for his family.
He still lacked consciousness on what he had done but he felt terrified.
The police did their possible best to slow down the car while some officers came out of their vehicles armed with guns.
Everyone in the car froze.
Williams let his legs off the pedal.
The explosion that sprung about in the highway had helped them out, but now, they seemed done for with black cars surrounding the perimeter.
"Look what you have done. Hope you are happy", Victoria yelled at Williams watching the officers walk closer to the door.
Suddenly, a blue light radioed off the windows in the car.
A blue light that came from Williams.
Arnold gaze turned towards him as he suddenly became observant.
The scene was one he hoped for.
He didn't have his notebook so he stored everything in his mind.
The light shun bright, bright enough for the police officers outside to see it.
"Fire!", one of the officers yelled as he beheld the scene.
The bullets were missed by the sudden levetation of the vehicle.
Almost like magic, the vehicle began levetating.
Everyone in the car noticed it immediately.
Williams was still caught in a trance.
It didn't take long for Arnold to unravel that this was likely a new ability.
He beheld the bewildered police officers who stood on the highway with hands on mouths.
