Hundred of years ago the human world was peaceful everyday went by just as normal, until they arrive some were in the form of beast while other were half human half beast they came to the human world demanding the submission of the human race , the government refused and what followed was war humans couldn't fight against them they were powerless against them, just when humans were on the verge of extinction and feeling hopeless, they appeared humans with different abilities came forth they were humans with the powers beyond what others thought possible, they were different attributes such as air, fire,wind, ice,water, light, dark magic and many more some came riding dragons as large as mountains and other different creatures that humans thought were myth they came offering help and humans almost on the verge of extinction agreed, since then the war has been in a stallmate , every year tenegers at the age of eighteen were sent to the academy to learn such abilities in other to help in the still ongoing wars against the monsters.
"It's okay Kai stop being a baby it's just two years and besides I can always send you latters" Zane said softly hugging his best friend.
" But I won't be seeing you for two years it's so unfair" he really didn't want Zane gone he was going off to stormcrest academy, the school of magic, Zane was already at the rightful age of eighteen while Kai was still sixteen, they have been the best of friends since Kai was five and Zane was at the age of seven, since then they were literally inseparable he only had Zane and his family, they were the only people he had left in this cruel world his mom died when he was five and since he was just a child he was taken into the care of the Wilson's (Zane family) but now watching him go to the academy without him was simply a hard thing to do.
" Come on Kai let him go or his gonna be late and miss his train"Katy said dragging Kai off Zane she was Zane's younger sister same age as Kai
"Yeah buddy you guys are gonna be together in two years time it will be time before you know it" mr Wilson said patting Kai on the back.
The sound of a the whistle was heard urging students to say their last goodbye to their families and get on the train Katy hugged her brother " Zane level up fast or when I get to the academy I might just be able to kick your ass" Kai laughed at that it's something Katy will much likely want to do.
" You won't get the chance Katy when you arrive I might already be an s level guardian" Zane replied beaming with confidence "yeah right I don't see that happening any time soon" Kai said busting into laughter along side Katy Zane glared at them huffing and turning his head in annoyance " mom look at them making fun of me again am starting to think Katy is Kai best friend instead of me "
Katy laughed closing her hand around Kai waist and resting her head on his shoulder " that's cause his my twin " she replied sticking her tongue out at him " Katy quit annoying your brother" miss Wilson stepped in smacking Katy at the back of her head, just then the whistle blew again telling students to board the train
" Be careful out there Zane and do not get into fights with others I don't want you dead before I get there" Kai got out of Katy arms hugging Zane one last time he was really trying not to break down again "good bye son take care of yourself and do not disgrace me out there"said mr Wilson patting his son's back
" And take your studies seriously" Mrs Wilson said hugging him,
" Bye brother don't let me down"
"Good bye Zane don't forget to send letters otherwise you're getting your ass kicked when I get there" Kai hugged him again
" I won't see you guys in two years I hope you make and I will miss you so much"Zane responded taking his bag into his hands and heading for the train when he got inside he turned and wave at them the rest of the students entered into the train as it starts moving parents stood at the side including Kai and the Wilson's watching the train retreating figure till it disappear from their sight before they start to dispatch,
"Come in twinnie let's go home " said Katy dragging Kai along
"Katy do you think I will ever be able to make it in the academy I mean look at me am so weak nothing like you guys at all"
Katy looked at Kai with a smile spread across her beautiful face " am sure you will your stronger than you let on "
" Yeah right I won't even pass the first test and will probably be shipped of to either the creatures care taker or the mines" Kai replied with an eye roll
"Don't say that about yourself Kai you won't be a caretaker nor work in the mines alright I've got you and we will be training together before we heard for the academy"
"Kids come on hurry up" Mrs Wilson shouted from the carriage
" Yes mom coming" Katy replied while running towards the carriage she then stopped as if remembering something turned around grabbed Kai's hand and ran towards the carriage with him.
Upon reaching the Wilson's mansion the butler mr Barnsley came out to welcome them home " welcome back duke Wilson and lady Ivanana(Zane and Kate mom), miss Kate and young master Kai I hope the young master departed safely " Barnsley said bowing his head in greetings
" Yes he did "mr Wilson replied taking off his coat and handing it to one of the maids
" Count Reginald is waiting at the study I took him there as you asked "
" Thank you Barnsley tell the maids to get me a cup of coffee and some sweet make it for three and bring it to my study" mr Wilson said taking his wife's hand and heading to the direction of the study,
" Yes my lord" Barnsley bowed his head again before heading to the kitchen.
" Come on Kai now that I have you all to my self without Zane snooping in let's go have some fun okay" grabbing his hand she started dragging him towards the garden
" Why are we heading to the garden I thought we were going to the training grounds" Kai asked confusion written all over his face
" Yeah we will do that but for now we have fun so loosen up a bit your always so stiff"
" No am not "he argued frowning a bit
" Yeah I can clearly see that " she replied with an eye roll her voice dripping with sarcasm" loosen up Kai there is only me and you for two years so let's make it fun while it last" Katy added dragging him towards the garden.
